February 18, 2016 Thunder assistant coach Monty Williams delivers remarks at memorial service for his wife Ingrid. The service was held at Crossings Community Church in Oklahoma City.
Had already seen this when his wife passed, but JVG’s reminder made this a great halftime filler and words to live by…although Monty came up short tonight, he’s a winner in life. 🙏🏾
Watching this rn because Jeff Van Gundy told me too. Plus, this is amazing words from Monty ❤️ rip to his wife and I hope Monty can win the championship for her ❤️🙏🏽
I am rooting for Milwaukee because of their Greek star but thank you Van Gundy for making me listen to these inspiring words I respect Monty even more after listening to this awesome eulogy 👏
What an amazing speech coming from the man of God and natural born leader. He has something that a lot of people don't have and that's character. Character as he knows is built through adversity and trials in our lives, when we go through it we develop patience and faith, which leads to character. I wouldn't want anybody else being the new head coach of my Detroit Pistons than him!
Men of faith are a dying breed. Praise God this man can preach under these circumstances The grace and mercy this man exudes is evidence of true Bible believing, mountain moving faith Please allow his words to minister truth and love to you Your eternal life depends on it
What a wonderful man of God Monty Williams is. How any man can stand there and give a eulogy like that is beyond me. He is such a loving, forgiving man.
Thanks for the Video! Forgive me for chiming in, I would love your opinion. Have you heard the talk about - Schallingora Publicity Extracting Scheme (should be on google have a look)? It is a smashing one off product for learniing amazing eulogy speeches without the headache. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my work buddy got cool success with it.
As I come back to this again. It’s why I’m rooting for Monty and the Suns in the Finals. As Monty said, all things work out for those who love the God and come together.
Win or Lose Game 6 tonight, Monty Williams deepens my appreciation for not only my favorite team but also the beauty in the struggle and overcoming things bigger then basketball. Love and Passion will always win. Go Monty and go Suns🙏🏻☀️
"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths." - Proverbs 3:5-6 May the Lord strengthen this family, directing them in the path of His peace.
Here at halftime of Game 6 of the 2021 NBA Finals. Also here because Jeff Van Gundy brought this up during the game. Suns are up 47-42. Whatever happens in these finals, Coach Monty is a champ. 🔥
Here after the Game 6 mention. Just lost my Grandfather. More like my Dad as he raised me. Having an extremely tough time right now. Thank you Mr. Williams.
Ty JVG. NBA finals. Game 6. The amazing words from someone going through, the lowest of times. Forgiving the other family,& feeling their pain also. I'm beyond moved. R.I.P Mrs Williams
John 3:16 says For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him(Jesus) will not perish, but, will have Everlasting Life!" All Glory to the Lord! Praying for for You Monty , Your Family and the Donaldson Family!
I knew nothing of what this man has went through in life, I have first known of him during the NBA finals with my Milwaukee Bucks. Even though I wanted my Milwaukee Bucks to win so bad, but my celebration was cut short while listening to this from this fine gentlemen who did something so classy that I have never seen anything like it before, he came into the Bucks locker room congratulated and praised the team that just beat his team. I wish he and his family peace and nothing but the best in the future. God bless!
Mr. Williams what a impactful and courageous way to honor your wife. May God wrap his arms around you and your entire family for the rest of your days!!! Amen!🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
What a true man of God...this is a reminder of the strength one gets from God in a truly traget time... I am glad I took the time to check this eulogy out. Go Suns, it's not over yet
THAT has more meaning now than ever for me. It brought tears in my heart, joy and hope. Not winning an NBA championship is not as valuable as having a winning character, which Mr. Williams has and show everyday. May GOD Bless his family with good health and good fortune. Mr. Williams is a champion in my book.
From a Blazers fan and Muslim, sending my prayers to Monty, his children and all those who knew and loved Ingrid. Powerful words and no doubt The Almighty will take care of the family in the coming difficult years ahead.
I am a Christian and to hear this makes me extremely happy God loves us all! What Jesus did on the cross is important ! Monty spread gods word and he shall be blessed
HE is a God of Grace, Mercy and Love. Monty you are a true Son of the King. This will touch many and give a perspective and belief that is needed in this world that Jesus came to save. Thank you for this, God work it out so you can give a voice to His Love.
Monty, you have touched so many with your message of GOD'S Love. GOD is working in your life to reach so many. May GOD continue to bless you and so many who need blessings.
I heard about Monty's loss and eulogy from Jason Whitlock today. I listened to his words and after listening I praised our Lord for His goodness in all situations.
I came back to this after the Kobe news. Losing my role model and someone who was like family for us for 20 years. Needed to be reminded of these words. Thank you Monty. You have no idea how powerful and far reaching this speech is.
Kobe was a fantastic player and good man. This man right here is the epitome of Grace, class and humility. I hope you choose your role models carefully
I'm so happy for this man that he finally got through round 1 in the playoffs this year. An absolute gentlemen BTW I am not religious at all but this speech was amazing and encouraging for all of us
This is some very beautiful words of hope with an eye single to the glory of God. We may not be of the same denomination, but we believe in the same God. I am not even a fan of basketball so I do not know this gentleman very well, however, I have been edified by his testimony. Thank you and may God bless your wife. Remember as we cry of grief for the leaving of a loved one on this side of the veil, on the other side of the veil there are family members who are receiving that loved one with tears of joy. Your wife's journey has not ended, she has just gotten a new calling that demands a full time heart and mind.
Thank you sir for what is by far, the most beautiful eulogy I have ever heard. You are an example to all of us. Take care and as you said, this will work out.
I send my condolences and I rejoice at the beauty of this relationship with God and your wife. Blessings, strength and joy to you, your children, your family and the Donaldsons.
Let us respond in our weakest moments with grace and truth. Realizing eternity awaits us all. May we forgive and display Christ to a generation in desperate need of our Lord
