A short session Carp fishing on the first frost of the year.

Join me on this short day session on my syndicate. This is the first frost of the year which in itself is a bad sign for a productive carp fishing session although I was desperate to get out fishing due to not being able to do so for a number of weeks.
I conditioned myself to this one being another blank just to offset any later disappointment once the session had finished, although I did hold out some hope of a stray fish stumbling across one of my solid bags.

Nice one pal good to see u not letting the frosts put u off its certainly tough in winter but when u bank one u forget all about the weather i know a lot of guys fish bags all year round but i believe they come into their own in winter its the perfect presentation i think you are spot on regarding the length of the hookling pal fingers crossed u bank a cpl next session tightlines and all the best pal

I deffo won't let the bad weather put me off.I think we need to make the most of this brilliant hobby of ours, after all, we're not on this earth for very long. Love using solid bags in the winter pal, maybe 80%+ of the time. All the best & Tight lines Steve

What do you mean when you say wraps? I've been carp fishing a year and use distance sticks on some waters but usually just set them at 2 meters apart, but I hear a lot of people saying so many wraps like it's a standard measure?

Hi mate. Yes a wrap has become a standard measurement of 12ft. It means that you can pass the distance in wraps to a specific spot to others to help them out. Your way is very effective and many anglers just put a couple of distance sticks in the ground like you but for effective mapping and building up references it helps greatly to set the distance between the sticks the same everytime regardless of what that distance might be.
