This reminded me of a lovely poem called "Morning Song" by Sylvia Plath. I don't know why it did, but I think it is because the way you read your poem made me think of my old English teacher reading Morning Song. Anyway, your poem was beautiful :)

I'll always appreciate that notebook of yours, I was so surprised with how quickly I filled mine. In the end I had to cut so many of the drawings I had in it out, to use for a portfolio for an interview for college. I got a place in that course so it's a pretty special notebook.
