Hello! It's been a long time since you posted here so im not sure if you'll see this. But in case you do: i was never an active subscriber, but I loved your poems (still do). I especially loved a poem titled "when you lose yourself" that you had put up on youtube. Is there any way I can find it again, in video or written format? If not it's totally ok. I just thought I'd ask because it really moved me as a teenager, and it still does now when I think about it. Thank you for allowing free access to your work, it resonates with me in a way that's hard to describe. wish you the best ☺️
I've read the 4 books in Italian, my mother tongue. I completely agree with you: hew writing, the plot, the vivid characters make this tetralogy a masterpiece 💕
Believe it or not, there is a girl live in Saudi Arabia playing your videos over and over again specially before sleeping because I like to listen to your voice, your stories and how beautiful and calm your voice, and you made me go back to reading again, you reminded me how I love reading 📖 ❤️ I hope you’re ok and I would love to see more of your videos
I've been putting off reading this for years now but things have slowed down a lot in my life. Your review was great by the way. Ayoade is the kind of person that most "normal" people just don't get as he has a way of being subtle aggressively. This summer I introduced a friend to Travel man. We are trying to watch as much of the shows he is part of as we can.
When the old night reclined to rest from the practice of repeating the blackness, in preparation for the arrival of the birth of a new dawn, The old man's steps were like a tortoise heading up. The old man stood looking at the blind lamp،Then he nodded, saying: I see you, lamp, have lost your sight and such a night has receded, which is about to withdraw from this worldly plate..you are like the lips of a stupid gun that never a pronounce a single shot in the ear of battle. A bird cuts the thread of meditation for the old man After he climbed the pine tree that shaded the house's eye, which is its only window. A lukewarm smile slowly appears on the old man's lips, as dawn advances with the steps of a return from an old travel،the bird joins, leaving the pine branch, with swarms of migrating birds, leaving the tree repeating the tales of shadows for the old woman when the sun sees and sees existence with an eye of pure light. I annoyed my wife so much reading this book as I would do so at night and my laughter would keep her from falling asleep. The whole book is simply brilliant.
I got my first Kindle Basic this past December 2020 and love the thing. I had read about the Kobo, and although it seems like a very capable device, it doesn´t serve my needs here in Mexico as well as the Kindle.
I really love the movie my brilliant friend bc I was watching her movie for some few days so is the most beautiful movie that is new or idk lol soooooooo........... I love it. 😍😍😍☺️☺️☺️☺️
If you don't know Ayoade, suggesting his humour is similar to Fielding and Brand is a little unhelpful! :D His anti-humour is unique, but his nerdy word play is perhaps not too far from David Mitchell's... He's not someone I would describe using comparisons! Ayoade on Top - is also a hilarious read, the way he pays out on the director while seemingly praising him, is gold!
I love the obvious passion for books to comes through your reviews. I like your channel and I like your choice of reading material. Excellent thank you
Lol, RU-vid is recommending this to me 4 years later xD I'm Italian and I had been living abroad for a few years when my mum lent me this very book. And wow, it was the first time in years I read a novel in my own language and it made me fall in love with it so deeply, it was a truly unique experience. These books are so captivating, the way she writes is stunning. Her descriptions might not be conventional but every detail is so vivid it's like being there with the characters. My favourite book series in a long time, if not my favourite period.
