As a clergyman it has been a very difficult time, as often we cannot even be with the family at the time of death, except remotely. I can’t anoint the dying, etc. But here in the South we can at least be with family at cemetery and commit the body. We can also, provide pre consecrated elements specially prepared to be safely administered. It reminds me of the time I was a chaplain at M D Anderson and had to minister to people in isolation and find ways to provide the sacrament with out being in the patient room. With COVID it’s so hard because we cannot often be in the area where the patient is. I respect what you are doing so much. You are serving your community in a time when others are limited in how they can help.

Clive, I am glad you and your staff got through the surge of Covid-19 Deaths in good health. I lost two siblings during The last year from heart disease. We were able to get funerals and small services.. But we are still planning to have Memorial Services… I am a retired Florist. You can only do your best….. God always shows up…. I got plenty on calls at home. I referred them back to their Funeral Homes….
I am on the front lines of the medical world on a normal day, & these are extraordinary times. Thank you so much for being the compassionate 'Last Responders' to care for all of those who have passed & the families that are struggling so much to walk through this crucial last moments of life. ✝
@@desireelococo1747 Beautiful sentiment! - I lost my father mother best friend girlfriend and sister inside eight years then tried to take my own life as well. These 1st responders are amazing & shd be praised. We were blessed to find a service providers. They were working in shifts to perform 24 hr cremations. I understand how he feels. I've had to arrange burial for many family members & became so efficient at it that family automatically turned to me. At 1st I was devastated by the no. of requests for help but then I said perhaps my faith & strength is my purpose, to serve at these times of great sorrow. I arranged a cremation 3000 miles away via phone for a family friend who was frozen in grief. It was an honor. I have reconciled myself that this is a blessing, to serve when needed.
As a former mortician, the hours are LONG and the pay is low, in TEXAS they don't pay overtime, it's straight salary! It's a physically and emotionally career, It's rewarding in many ways. I've been away from the funeral home many years, I hope the payroll and hours have gotten better.
Most all funerals I’ve attended. Most I’ve seen here, it’s raining. I’ve seen hundreds in person. I really like to think it’s God crying & in a way cleansing & washing away the bad of it all. Washing away the tears.

Some of these funeral directors make me sick how they operate if you can only hold 5-10 bodies in your funeral home don't take 50-100 bodies do the damn math they are greedy people in this business..

I disagree with your views totally. Funeral work is very physically and emotionally difficult, You shouldn't speak of things you have no knowledge about. Yes I've been a licensed funeral director and embalmer in the state of Texas!

I came close to be died in November 29, 2020. Covid viruses are the only thing that has to do so if you have a problem with their account or not just because of her mild specific learning disorder is not a true statement of her life as a result of their own actions.
Crazy crazy crazy....Trump just doesn't have a hold on it!!...and I'm a big Trump fan!!! Here in Ireland its about 19k cases and 1k deaths unfortunately
