Iwata was an amazing man. Dying at 56 was just a horrible bad luck. A man with an ambition to lead my generation to video games that created our childhoods.

Two Years. It's been almost two years since you've been gone, yet the gaming world goes on and on. Soldiering on through an endless fight, some games successes, the others not quite right. Yet one thing still remains tried and true, we never have forgotten you. The man who kept a company alive, cut his own paycheck to help them survive. Who had an idea for a new kind of machine, one with which you play along with a touchscreen. Brought forth an evolution in how we game, changing some rules, yet others staying the same. The memories you brought us, both good and bad, were some of the best times we'd ever had. and the day that god decided it was time for you to go, that was truly what we'd show through our tributes, gifts and utmost respect, for a man whom made a company once flawed so perfect. And although again you may be gone, your legacy will continue on and on In your heart you may have been a gamer, but to us you were a savior A Savior of childhood memories once lost, discarded and blown away, like fragments of dust. Yet one thing you'd never lost, in all of your years, was our trust as well as our tears, for a Man whom had helped preserve something we held so near, a company whose products helped fill our lives with cheer, So I write this poem to pay respect, to a man whom helped make my life that bit more perfect. Rest in peace Iwata, you made hundred of millions of childhoods, including mine. I remember seeing you on the 3DS direct, you seemed so cool my old self thought. I was a youngster, I loved Nintendo.The gameboy and 3DS were moments of my childhood, my 3DS recently broke. It made me remember the great things and events happening when you were here, all your funny friends. Reggie and everybody else. I loved Nintendo ever since I was a little boy, I was a boy who loved games and was inspired by you, I was 6 years old. Gaming is a big part of my life, and that's because of you. EarthBound (and many other Nintendo games) are a big part of me. They've taught me a lot and given me inspiration and entertainment. I am entirely grateful that this man worked at Nintendo. He is a true hero and I hope his legacy lives on.

Mr. Iwata will always make me laugh with his commercials, but most importantly, I will always remember my childhood games kept in my memories. Even my brother still loved playing Super Mario and Sonic, but now he just plays the Mario games. Thank you Satoru Iwata for giving us many good generations of old and new games we loved.

Mr. Iwata always reminded me of Jackie Chan in a way. Even though he was a businessman and had to do lots of work, he always seemed like his smile could brighten any room and that his voice would cause others to smile. His expressions seemed like he was the worlds nicest and kindest man. May he rest in peace.

When I was 11-12 years old I would sleepover at my best friends house and we would take turns playing ninja gaiden, metroid, legend of Zelda, contra. We would stay up until 5 - 6 in the morn playing. When we beat a certain level or boss that was sooo memorable. I will never forget those days, thank you Mr. Iwata get a 1 up in heaven.

R.I.P. Satoru Iwata. He introduced me to video games with Super Mario Sunshine. And as the years went on, I learned more and more about this man and the great things he has done not only for Nintendo, but for ALL of us gamers. Super Mario Maker is one of the last games he worked on, and once I get it, I will go on amazing adventures..... just what Iwata did. Rest in peace.
