In Africa people live together on a compound. The whole family lives there together in separate houses. There is a big wall around it, to protect peope and property. This compound is in the Gambia, West-Africa.
In Afrika wonen mensen allemaal op een compound. Dit is een ommuurd gebied waar binnen allerlei huisjes gebouwd zijn, waar de diverse familieleden in wonen. De hoge muur en de stevige deur die altijd wordt gesloten, is ter bescherming van mensen en bezittingen.
