Homemade Thanksgiving dinner can definitely get pricey, but I think we can make an entire Thanksgiving meal that serves 10-15 people for 35 dollars or less.

Joshua, THANK you for this. My husband and I were fully planning on KFC today, but I saw your video. You inspired us both. We did everything in your video (but used a whole chicken instead of turkey). Cranberry sauce - I will NEVER go back to canned. EVER. Your stuffing, we made with home-made sour dough (also inspired by you)... it made me cry. No lie. The flavors... Made... Me... Cry. Thank you for the inspiration, making things attainable, and the flavors were absolutely perfect for Thanksgiving. $35 bucks, worth a million dollars. Today I'm thankful for your channel. No KFC for us today, papa.

I want high quality ingredients for a great tasting meal. Otherwise I’d just order everything from somewhere like Boston market. That’s not the point of a family cooked meal. You can splurge for this family meal. And I don’t feel bad about it.🤷🏽‍♀️

@Buferin El mejor ok, lets dive into it. he said "well over 500$, potentially even over a 1000$" and "10,15, maybe even 20 people". So if we take the smallest cost, and the largest crowd, that is still 25$ for a single plate and dessert. I don't know about you, but those are restaurant prices for me, and that is at the lowest possible cost for the most people he can host. Since we are all watching a video where he makes 10-15 servings for 35$, i think even Josh would agree that he spends too much on it.

As an Irish woman, (living in Ireland my whole life btw) I have always been fascinated (and a little scared) of the general American type of 'stuffing'. I have never tried it for family, but I did make a version for myself once and, it was very tasty but I couldn't wrap my head around it being 'stuffing'. All I know is, if I served it at Christmas as stuffing and didn't have our traditional sausage meat stuffing on stand by, I would be divorced and disowned by kids by the end of St. Stephen's day 🤷‍♀️

Around here, if u spend $30 in a grocery store, you get 412 off a turkey. The eligible turkeys are rather small, so u get a 13-14 lb bird for about $1.50. I helped my friend deliver food boxes to some of her church members, and wound up getting a few cans of pumpkin, a can of mushroom soup, I think 6 cans of evaporated milk, plenty cranberry dressing and even a box of bread cubes for stuffing! When I do the gravy what I usually do is make it out of the roasting pan juices, bring that to a high boil, stirring constantly and pepper no salt because the liquid already has the salt the a slurry out of water and corn starch, whisk that constantly until it is thickened. adding more corn starch along the way, then after about 20 mins or so the gravy is finished.
