Installing H&R lowering springs on my A90 Toyota Supra! Let's get low!

Today I show how to install lowering springs on my A90 Toyota Supra. I bought a set of H&R lowering springs for my Supra and they gave the car a perfect stance with a 1in drop all around. My car is sitting on a custom set of forged ESR RF2 wheels and fit super flush 19x9.5 +22, and 19x10.5 +30!
Installing lowering springs was a little bit of a pain in the butt. Each corner took over an hour. I could not for the life of me separate the lower portion of the front strut from the hub assembly. So we had to disconnect the tie rod ends and pull the whole assembly out and disassemble the spring on the car. Using the spring compressor to install the lowering springs was very straight forward. Even though we couldn't get the strut out, we were able to replace the front springs fairly easily.
Installing the rear lowering springs on the Supra was super simple. However, lining up the large bolt that holds the suspension arm to the hub took like 30 minutes. Very challenging to line up the holes.
We got the project done, installing the H&R lowering springs on my A90 Toyota Supra and it gave the car a perfect stance!
The ESR forged wheels look absolutely amazing on the Supra and I'm so pumped for this look! Bronze wheels look amazing on the white car and everything looks perfect!
While I show how to install lowering springs, there might be some easier ways to install lowering springs for the new Supra, but regardless we got it done without damaging anything.

Separate the knuckle from the two lower control arms and pull it out as an assembly. Pull the knuckle out with the strut still attached and then separate the two once they're out of the car.

Nice ride hight. I like that you didn’t have to go buy new tires for the mod. I think painting the rims white and getting an old school MK4 spoiler would be awesome. The spoiler like on the red 2020 MK5 Heritage Edition.

Wheels look sick💪🏽 I just installed springs on my car WITHOUT compressors😭I don’t recommend it but it worked out nicely FOR ME. It’s on my channel👍🏽

Thanks! I did not change anything. But everything back exactly like stock, just swapped the springs and it worked great. Car rode perfect after this and handing was so much better!

What’s up man! Are there any torque specs for bolting up the rear E20 and 18mm bolts and the front 18mm top bolt as well?

Nothing that I looked up. I just did them nice and tight. 2 years later never had an issue. Can't remember if I did use the torque wrench or not. But if I did, 60lbs should be good

Really nice! I don't understand black wheels on a car but these are perfect! My only other preference would be vented or slotted brakes but I don't know if they would make a difference in performance.

I never had any issues. Once or twice hitting a big bump I'd hear a clunk noise in back. But other then that everything felt fine. Had this setup for 2 years

Hi....do you have any noise come from the two rear wheel springs. I just installed H&R springs on my 2022 Supra, every time the car goes over a bump... always making metal to metal contact noise. The fronts are fined. Should l flip the rear springs? Now, the tighter coil spring or smaller end is up. I see some people use Tein Silencer Rubber...Any advice... thanks in advance.

I never had noise. Are the rear springs installed so you can read the writing on the springs? Thats how you know up and down. Could probably do those rubber silencers worst case

Please do not ever slam/camber it and ruin the drivability and handling aspect of your car. Seeing that fad makes me cringe. That setup right now looks perfect👍. Anyway I think you've convinced me to get some lowering springs for my 370z nismo.

I also had these H&R springs installed on my GR Supra, but since then (even after 6 re-allignments), the car keeps pulling to the right slightly. We tested another Z4 zith the same H&R springs and he did exactly the same thing. This is not something you noticed?

Your shop probably isnt doing something right. Or maybe the springs aren't seated properly where they go. Mine tracked straight even before I did the alignment. But I had an alignment anyways. Car has been perfect

Yeah if you want too. As long as you go with proper wheel spacers that are hub centric. I wouldn't use spacers out on the track. But normal driving they are fine

@@anthony_707 hmm I would think they would fit. Can’t remember if the 2.0 also has the same suspension or not. We carry H&R springs for the Supra on our website. The springs are listed as A90 Supra springs from H&R. I could ask them

No clue on specifics like that. But these really improved handling a lot! Car was much more stable at high speeds and in the turns.

@@bailey12444 I would definitely recommend these! Rides nearly identical to stock as far as comfort. But when in sport mode, the stiffer springs limit body roll a ton! Handles way sharper! And of corse gets rid of the nasty wheel gap

Will you be going with a radar detector or dash cam? I think you will not be doing anything with the engine for warranty reasons but I wonder how many views you would get by going all out with some hardware mods such as that.

Well I never speed, so I don't really need a radar system lol. 11 years perfect record 😎. Next year I'll work on exhaust and then get to some tuning

Yeah it's still fine. Car has a ton of clearance stock. So now it's on part with the stock gtr.

Much tougher than stock. Stock was too soft. With the h&r it's much firmer and bumpier but it handles better and looks better. It's a trade off.

@Bros FOURR Speed is there anything you had to do to the sensors? i mentioned changing the springs to my dealer and they told me i would need to recalibrate the sensors and tune the ecu for the car to work right and not have any engine lights pop, said it would be very pricy?

Nope. I'm assuming the computers are smart enough to automatically adjust things with them on. If I put a couple hundred pounds in the trunk. The rear would squat the same amount as the springs are changing it. So no reason for them to throw a code

@@bobbybooshay5854 I'm sure something was installed wrong or the sensor weren't reattached. My car threw a chassis function limited code after a shop installed mines. Found out later that they installed my rear level sensor arm incorrectly. I fixed it and the code went away. I also noticed a reduction in power when I had the code. Couldn't peel out if I tried.
