Nah you dummies dont understand....we took talent for granted back then and the decades prior.....now that talent is non-existent we are fiendish for it again
stealthiscool She wasn't real huge but she had peak. Her only hits weren't just in that year you name but earlier as well such as One in a million , if your girl only knew.
@@dejajohnson5618 she was starting being very huge . She didnt had alot Nr .1 Singles but her Albums Sale we're Always very high. She Sold over 30 Million Albums when she we're alive with only 3 Albums release
Aaliyah accomplished A LOT to be 22 years old. That's why her legacy lives on, n always will. She is the only celebrity that i knew where everyone loved her, n there was no haters.
Sure 😌 And her Sudden death gave her postheum success bigger Nowadays the new generation of singers refers to her She was a Pioneer as a Solo female hip-hop singer 😇
To move around and sing live yes you want to be able to project your voice more, so you would use your chest voice and transpose the octave. If anything, this showcases range and technique. And she has plenty of 'Live" clips on youtube where her voice is soft like on the record, but she would be sitting down therefore making it easy to go ahead sing in falsetto or head voice.
Aaliyah invented swag. She just was so poised and suave. Swag just oozes from every part of her demeanor - some people cannot relate. We miss you baby girl😢gone way too soon
Exactly. A few idiots here saying she doesn't sound good live. She sounds great here. Her voice sounds so freakin good and she is dancing, hitting notes here and there. Gosh they are fuckin nuts.
That’s when you know an artist in her category is at the top of her game. Janet is another one that could be singing out front with all her dancers behind her and just drop back into the choreo “blind” at any point of the song. Aliyah could dance her but off. I miss Aliyah. Her spirit was light filled.
Aside from the massive talent she had, the inner and outer beauty! All natural, no over the top nothin, THE style she had, the taste for fashion (worked with what suited her body best) THE face, she had it all.
Exceptionally beautiful woman! I can’t believe it’s been almost 22 years since she passed! I met her at the Cheesecake Factory of all places when I was 9, and she was SO SWEET. Her death really hit me hard. R.I.P. Aaliyah. What a queen.
SNATCHED this is my fave performance from Li. So effortless . look at her fashion and accessories soo ahead. Her signature half cut glove. Yass Queen . smooth vocals amazing adlibs. Great choreography. Ugh!!
aww I've always called her "Li" too lol but yes this ws one of my favorites too! I remember watching this live. Those were the days. She was the total package!!
Aaliyah was the total package...so smooth so sexy and sang amazing like no other artists...I miss her rip baby girl and dmx two legends gone but never forgotten ❤️❤️
I recently heard that Kidada Jones, one of Aaliyah's closest friends, revealed that Aaliyah once played a prank phone call on her father, Quincy Jones, posing as Christina Aguilera, asking for help with something she wanted to do on her album and singing on the phone. Kidada said that her father really believed that he was talking to Christina Aguilera.
Aaliyah had so much talent.. Her voice, her dancing, her swag, her natural beauty, her grace and class!! Rest easy baby girl!! We miss you! You live on forever In our hearts and In your music!! 🎶🎵🎶
Little do people know Aaliyah could blow..her studio recording sound smooth but only show a small fraction of her voice so people always assume she couldn’t sing that well
Aaliyah sounds great here. People try to play her calling her a whisper singer. However, baby girl's mic was ON!! Imagine if she was still alive, how much she would've grown vocally and as an artist 😩
Yes! What the hell are few people talking here. What kind of shit was in their ears? My girl was talented!!! I could understand that last performance she did on Jay Leno which was alittle weak, but not this. This was pure talent.
@@jonnyfendi2003 no he didn't, Derek Lee gave up his seat because he wanted to travel with all of the clothes and he wanted to stay an extra day. That decision ended up saving his life.
Beautiful, confident, her outfit is snatched, make up snatched, hair snatched. I miss her so and that DMX. I love them both. You both are missed. I am still inspired by Aaliyah.
Miss you baby girl!! You were and still are my favorite singer, performer, actress!! ❤❤ the world was robbed of your presence! Imagine if you were still here and you and Damon Dash married and had children, how gorgeous they would have been. Your mom would have been so happy...praying for your mom and brother, i know your dad is with you and now DMX, reunited again!! Watch over all of us, we will never forget you ever!!❤❤ i play your songs for my kids
Love u always Aliyah..#1 always..I grew up listening to u from day one.teenager..love ur style.always respected urself 💯it shows in ur presence miss u girrrrlll Damm .. wish u was here. Life cut tooooo short... (fucking haters.).it's sad .all we need is LOVE 💯FOR REAL..❤❤❤😊..
She was so beautiful she would have been on top as a Icon on the level of toni Braxton, Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Whitney Houston . Even Whitney Houston was a big Aaliyah fan Whitney said when Aaliyah died she didn't eat for a week. Aaliyah was suppose to be our sparkle. God bless her bless and gifted soul
@@chocolateradiance7216 Aaliyah was actually supposed to play Sparkle as well as Honey, and that’s why Sparkle didn’t get made until a decade later and why Jessica Alba all of a sudden became a Hip Hop dancer for Honey, lol
Such a bright future. My neighbor told me once "there's a lot of talent in the cemetery". Death is all around us and lets find time to have joy in the midst of that. Her music provided joy for me so I'll always be grateful for the time she was here.
You go to this video to see how perfect choreography, flawless live vocal performance where every note is hit, no autotune, and even can just sit down and talk after.
quetta18 Okay.... but if Aaliyah was alive she still would've gotten there on her own. She was still young and barely starting out. She was going to get there and be huge. So what's your point? 😒
Zerm Cherry It was her first album officially as an adult. Which means she hadn't really been in the industry long enough. So of course she wasn't going to sell immediately. 🙄 She still needed more time to get to that place of popularity. And she was getting there already, but sadly she never got the time to get to that place.
