One of her best live performances. I love when she performs this song and “the one I gave my heart to”. Singing ballads really showcase her angelic voice. She can definitely sing live.
@@danib2286 I have that song on my phone it's a nice love song to play when you alone can play this song over and over on my phone me now I like this song
Aaliyah was overtrained she was operatically trained which is why her head voice and her falsetto her other registers weren't as trained but they were powerful
@@thetruthvocalize9586 she was definitely more comfortable singing low and using her head voice. She never seemed so terribly comfortable belting even though she was good at it.
@@raaid22 How do you know if she comfortable singing in her lower and head voice? Aaliyah was singing in her singing style. You don’t know what she comfortable with
@@cortezmiller1899 you can hear it. She sounds good but her full voice sounds a little tight, but the fact that she keeps reverting to her head voice shows that her head voice was the most comfortable for her.
Aaliyah's voice had potential to become huge! It was already amazing and powerful (the way she used it live), more powerful than studio. RIP baby girl, we'll always love you and miss you forever. ❤
I love How Aaliyah always wanted to work with Janet and later on, they were supposed to collaborate a few years later and doing A Nasty Remix 2000 with Missy but unfortunately it didn't happen due to scheduled conflicts
@supaiisu i pay close attention to the people i look up to and i know very well how she sings. There’s things called registers and within those registers you project from certain places, and she never sings in a nasal tone ever! Also singers use different mannerisms whilst singing and she definitely never does that. I’m not sure about other singers but you can definitely hear that she was stuffy
Aaliyah is an icon her music is timeless. Her fashion is timeless and icon. Her voice is beautiful, one of a kind. Her legacy lives on through her family and friends. Rest In Peace Babygirl.
People say she can't sing live she have had her share of good and bad singing moments live but she definitely would have got better singing wise her voice was not fully developed
Derrick Lucas I totally agree. People act like all of her live performances were so horrible which it’s untrue. I watched vast majority of it and she have had her share of good and bad. Singing ballads really showcase her voice, she can definitely sing live.
fragrantflower x the women could definitely sing people forget she was 21 died at 22 if she was still alive she would definitely be up there voice wise just as beyonce voice has changed over the years
Derrick Lucas most definitely. She never had the chance to evolve and grow as a artist. I believe if she was alive she definitely be successful and great in her own right.
Beautiful! Hair always perfect, sexy never sleazy, brings tears 😢to my eyes, it's like she's still here! Thanks for upload never saw this! "Do you love her, I love her" 👼 RIP Baby Girl Muuuuuaaaaahhhh 💋 💋 ❤❤!
One of those people who are humble and kind with talent, grace and intelligence. My favorite artist since 94 when my sister used to play her album. I listen to her every day. Love this woman
Sarah Stewart Yes he is a r&b singer. He starred on a GREAT movie with letoya luckett (a destinys child member). He's amazing and he has great music ever since I was a teenager ✨🌌
At this point in her career, Aaliyah didn’t have the best voice but her style of singing was so unique. Her falsetto is flawless. Her approach to songs were different than the other female R&B singers. Aaliyah definitely could sing! So many artists have copied her singing style since she passed.
Darren T “awful??” To who?? YOU?? 🥴😑smh she STARTED singing r and b and changed it up sometimes by blending different sounds from different genres. Don’t get disrespectful calling anything she did “awful.” She and her music is amazing!
“Aaliyah can’t sing” People look at her More Than a Woman performance and write her off as a bad singer. It’s unfortunate. But she is NOT a bad singer and I suggest anyone who claims this to watch this video.
For people /youngstas who dont know, Tank produced & wrote some music for Aaliyah so he wasnt her backup singer/dancer...Just like Missy also sung alot of background vocals for Aaliyah. ..Tank was writing shit for alot of people back then before he started performing Tank is an OG in the game....
He was a background singer for her. He was auditioning for someone and she snatched him for herself. He then signed onto her uncle's label. HE say this and credit her for putting him on in EVERY interview.

Black is her favourite colour 😎 Any dislikes or negative comments just know that I don't give a fuck about society and think that ❤ is more important 😎
Aaliyah was a young Mariah just wasn't comfortable Mariah had her whistle register but Aaliyah could do anything Mariah can do with her whistle with Aaliyah's head voice I believe when she got older she would have sound similar to Mariah just without the whistle
I was born in 2002 and i recently started to listen to her more even doe i didn’t knew her or wasn’t alive when she was on earth I miss her in a certain way and i feel so sorry for what happened to her in the past. She was a nice person i don’t why people her hurt so much but i heard before she died she was happy and its the only thing that matters !!!!
Yeah brother Pearl the best reason why we play drums if the Young great legend Mrs Aaliyah was still here I trongly believe that Mrs Janet Jackson and Mrs Aaliyah would have done an amazing album and it probably would have won not only a Grammy but the album would have won an Oscar for best live performance
