They are equally impressive. Two people have hit over 700 home runs who are clean. Two people have hit over 60 home runs in a season who are clean. Only difference is Pujols became less relevant many years ago and it’s another Yankee who hit 60 home runs.

This is like the Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa back in the 90's, steroids or not, brought baseball back to life. While Judge and Pujols aren't battling each other for the homerun record, each are chasing their own achievement. So I'm intrigued by both.

Idc what nobody says,Sammy Sosa was the man. He was the most exciting player to watch hit homers. Overall I agree Albert Pujols is overall better but in the prime years,NOBODY was slugging like Sosa with 3 60+ home run years in 4 years. and Steroids for all y’all young cats won’t take away homers. They just would not have gone as far. But yeah Slamming Sammy at his peak with 66,64,63 homers in 4 year span including his 50 which that year he actually had the most in both leagues was the man. And I’m not even 30 yet but remember just how electric he had Wrigley field and the Cubs

I am not a big fan of questions that are #1 subjective and #2 seemingly take away from the accomplishments of both of these men. I am not a Yankee's fan but Judge is having a great season. He's bringing back a bit of my attention to baseball when I have switched my attention to my hometown Chiefs for years. Also, as Royals (ahem fan) I wouldn't have rooted for the Cardinals but it's hard not to root for Pujols as he is having a smashing conclusion to his career! He's the one that got away from our area too. Royals should have drafted him as a "local" kid so there is a bit of bitter sweet when it comes to his career. Hopefully, Judge can keep up his longevity to match Pujols but we will see. 🥳🎉🥳🎉 to both these ambassadors of baseball!

Stephen A he has 21 home runs in about half a seasons worth of at bats, at 42. He’s second only to judge in the second half in HR and SLG, and OPS. Dont drag the guy for his average. He hit 332 every year for 10 years straight and got little talk from the media. He would be hitting 800 if it wasn’t for injuries and the LA move. I respect Tim, but I wouldn’t call either of these more important than the other.

Just so you know Maris played in expansion year, competition was weak. Today's players face way more different pitchers and good ones... my idol was Ruth and I'm a Dodger fan, but during his era the league didn't have all the best players. People of color were excluded. So if you want to look at the negative, every ERA was tainted. Steroids or not ERA, baseball was fun to watch. You still had to hit the ball.
