This is going to be a VERY hard video to watch. Even though this isn't the exact vehicle, my pops used to own a 72' and him and my uncle used to always talk about that Camaro. Back in 2000, I bought a junkyard 80' Camaro with a 305, and completely restored it with my Pops. I let my little brother use my Camaro and he destroyed it! Well, my Pops passed away almost 5 yrs ago, and my Uncle just passed away unexpectedly, yesterday. So now I have all these memories and thoughts just driving a feller crazy! I wish I could buy another Camaro to bring back 39 years of memories. I hope whoever sees this has a great day!
Sorry for your loss brother I built a lot of these cars probably about 8 if I'm being honest my wife at the time was just beside herself with these cars. Sure wish u could have built a car or two with my dad. Be thankful that you all least have your memories
All depends where and how it was stored, and the level of prep that was done to it before it was stored. I had a 468 big-block on a stand, that was fogged, bagged, rockers removed, intake and exhaust ports taped up, occasionally had the crankshaft turned, and stored in a climate controlled shop, sat for 15 years. When it came time to put it back into service, nothing at all needed to be done except for an oil change. On the other hand, I had a good running small block sitting on an engine stand in my un-heated garage at home. Not bagged, fogged, or anything done to it for prep. Sat for approx 7 years. When the time came to do something with it, the engine was locked up due to rust in the cylinders, had a few tight valves, some of the valve springs were shot, and basically needed a rebuild before it could be used.
You definitely should if you get the chance. I did it for the first time a few months ago and it was fun. I still dont know what the best part was... getting it running, driving it home , or the old owners face when he asked where the tow truck was and I replied "I'm just going to drive it home" and did. ;)
Thank you Derek, Jessica and the boys for all the hard work you put into your craft to entertain the world! We truly need this ray of sunshine on these cloudiest of days.
Derek - I am very new to your channel. Actually I found it by accident, but I am sure glad I did. I'm not a mechanic at ALL and am just fascinated at how you can get this stiff going. I am loving your videos and your demeanor and presentation are fantastic. Every video makes me laugh. Keep up the great work!
I know I'm not the only one that watches these videos to learn what the inside of the car smells like. "Smells like old diapers and stale pork rinds" or some such. Never fails to get a laugh out of me.
Ya, but have you gone looking for the "ingredients" to fully experience Derek's description of the smells yet??!! It adds a whole new level to the videos!!!
A guy never disappoints. At first I thought “so he’s not going to fix it there and drive it home?” but finding out how rough that rig was it made sense but he still got it running. Great job
Well, I’m gonna be honest, being broke down side the interstate in all forms of weather could get old really fast and I wouldn’t hold it agin him if he never tried driving a turd 600 miles home.
I have never binge watched a show before in my life, before VG Garage. I really like watching these auto’s coming back to life. Thank you for bringing back history.
I like your ability to start and get these engines going quickly. This Camaro appears to need quite a bit of bodywork I think probably the mechanical part of the rest of it is not so bad
Id love to have that car even with no motor to bud with my son who is graduating this yr, we could build it together, I could really teach him alot on that one
I love this guy. He comes off as sort of a yokel, but in reality he is a very skilled and knowledgeable mechanic with remarkable on-screen persona and pretty hefty production/post chops as well. I've been wasting my life playing with cars for decades and I still learn a lot from Derek. And I love this car. In 1974, I was in 8th grade and built a model of this very car. So I'm excited to see it brought back to life. Thanks, Derek. Always entertaining, always informative.
I swear engines are "alive".... they all have their own personality, some are temperamental, some just run good forever.... And just like humans they work best with maintenance, and human interaction.... I love how Derrick brings these cars back from dead
The pause and slow zoom in with the voice over “but you don’t really need brakes, that’s what first gear is for” killed me. Derek and Hand Tool Rescue have perfect subtle humor that nail it every time.
As a person that managed to barely overcome his laziness and change the oil in one of my cars yesterday, I'm impressed with the sheer scope of your masochism in taking on this Camaro. Makes for great video though, and always brightens my day when you post a new revival video. Your analysis of a freshly acquired vehicle always brings a smile. "Cowboy bar in the middle of Wyoming men's room" -- not a scent that Glade will ever offer I'm guessing..
dude he is not restoring that i promise u. he said its basically only good for parts. plus, what has dude restored? i love vice grip garage but lets face it he is not restoring cars here. he is just buying em and making vids. maybe selling em later
@@gamemylifeaway1112 even if he don't restore them he is still selling cars that run so may save the people buying them money by not having to rebuild the engine and he gets to make great content about them
@@gamemylifeaway1112 eh, just by getting em running and out of whatever rusty grave they’re pulled from and sending em on is new life or at least good part cars.
@@gamemylifeaway1112 Where did you see the word restore or get the idea that he was a restoring channel? By the way he has done some restoration videos. Not full on Jackson-Barrett restorations, but restorations nonetheless.
Solid frame, lights work, and key friendly ignition. I'd like to see you keep the engine and trans in there, work your magic and bring the old girl back around.... Not many of these 74s left on the road anymore!
Definitely bring it back to a "going to town" rig. A feller doesn't set his peepers on those 2nd gen camaros too much anymore, the 3rd gen is getting rare these days! Either way, you made a score with that engine. Don't see too many chevy small block 4 bolt mains anymore either. The LS engines are definitely good engines, i have one. I'm still a little partial to the old small block chevy engines, they were a workhorse.
I swear a guy believes that you, Derek, are a car whisperer! I am always amazed at how easy you make it look; as well as teaching a thing or two while you proceed through starting an engine that most people would never believe would run! On a different note, I'm wondering what your plans are with the pin striped El Camino you bought awhile back. Would love to see that become a rat rod for burnouts or cruise to car shows. Either way, your content is always the best!

Absolutely love vice grip garage videos. I have been binge watching these since I have discovered them accidentally. Not only informative, as long as you can understand the lingo, but extremely entertaining. I literally sit on the edge of my couch in anticipation of what's going to happen
I just got my 1967 Camaro convertible running yesterday!! Woot Woot! It has been sitting 22 years! Going to DMV tomorrow to finish registration. Rebuilt 327 small block with retrofit roller lifters/roller rockers, Blueprint engine heads, Tru Ram exhaust and Edelbrock AVS2 carb and air gap intake - should be close to 400hp. Mated to 700r4. Can't wait to burn some rubber1
@@RicheySynthetics Vegas! Saturday is the only day they accept walk-ins all day. Otherwise it is by appointment, and they are booked way into April! Totally messed up, I know!
I was tinkering around with my 67 Rs yesterday, just rebuilt the headlight doors, new motors and limit switches. She’s a Los Angeles built car, she made its whole life up here in Canada, rust free. 350 four speed, good luck with yours, have fun.
My attention span is very limited these days but I gotta say, I'm loving these extended "will it start?" videos. Educational AND entertaining. Keep it up Derek!
There are a number of will it run channels I.e. mortske, puddins, and a few others. But VGG is the best at it. I wish he did more of these type videos and less of the other build type videos
Daniel, I re-read my original statement and see I was not expressive enough. I have been following since Abandoned Chevelle Will it Run after 30 Years and Drive 600 Miles. Have seen all of the back videos and have looked forward to all of the videos since then. Maybe I should have said....my ytube attention span these days are getting limited because of content, but I am enjoying these extended VGG "will it run" run times to the point of getting disappointed when it concludes. Really enjoying it when Derek not only gets it running, but when he drops little mechanical gems. Cheers
I really like the intro editing and titles you did on this video. It seems I never tire of watching your productions. I find them both informative and relaxing. I especially appreciate the love you have for your family.
I love anything that Derek puts out there and especially with his beautiful wife and kids, but this is what really got me onto this channel and I hope they do more in the future. I like watching them build cars, but nothing like rescuing a car that hasn't started after 23 years and it getting back home.
+1 on the gettin her home. Derek has really changed my mentality about my old runabouts getting me home. I don't worry anymore, now I look forward to asking myself "What would Derek do?". And it becomes a challenge, not a hindrance. I recently re-plated the 1983 50cc trail bike I learned to ride on at 8 years old. Every trip is an adventure, will it blow the main fuse? Has the carb blocked up again and the choke is now the throttle? Maybe, but we'll get er done and nurse it home.
Family is the greatest thing we have, Derek is a awesome Dad. Like yourself I love watching the whole family get stuck into whatever hurdles come along, God bless Derek, Jess and his little people.
Often times when I’m laying on the cold shop floor with Rust in my eye and a ratchet wedged up my backside just a struggling I ask: “I wonder what Derek is doing today?” ….Probably singing a duet with Shania Twain …..”
I love Derek’s sense of humor combined with his accent and knowledge of cars. I love these videos and they really do help us folk with little money to live vicariously.
He's from Northern North Dakota but lived in that Minnesota area. So you got that good old German with Norwegian. And who knows what else. Either way fun to watch and listen to.
As a retired Cummins engine builder ( the 855 cube and 1000 cube K series) I like what you do. In my spare time I build classic cars and chopper bikes. I too have brought some back from the grave. I am 79 now but I am still twisting wrenches. Keep up the good work!
Seeing the “Vanishing Paint” in the background makes me feel so good. I’m genuinely so happy for you and your family. I’m happy you are achieving what you set your mind too. God bless you guys.
That even crank the engine sound trick is the best trick I learned when I was younger. Excellent advice Derek 👍 listen up kids and listen to your engine. It will tell you what's happening even if it doesn't start.
This is the first video I’ve seen. I’ve sold vehicles through my 20’s. I would introduce every customer to this gentleman every single sale if I had the chance. What an awesome dude and great display of restoration. Simplifying the auto world is a great gift whether it be in sales or service. This dude shows stress who the boss is. Good work Derek
VGG is great. Reminds me of PBS shows I watched as a kid. Derek gives me the confidence to get out there and just try wrenching on cars. He doesn’t use the most expensive tools, and knows where to cut cost😂 I wish his entire family much success
I 100% second this sentiment. Watching all of the videos that Derek, Jessica, and the kids have made over the years gave me the confidence to get some tools and start wrenching. I was recently able to inspect, purchase, and rescue my dream truck from a significant mouse house situation! Thanks VGG!
@Vice Grip Garage you've got that good Red Green sense of humor and sense of humble ingenuity. Always a treat to see ya getting a classic rolling over even if it is just for parts in the end
My eyes teared up the moment I saw that car. I've had four camaros being born in 1964 and grew up with them. This car takes me right back to those days having dug through every inch of a car like that. Camaros touch a special place in my heart and this one is a classic special piece of history. Super duper great find there fella. Thanks for caring, saving, and knowing what you got there.
I'm high school class of 1980. I bought my dark Blue 1989 Camero R/S brand new off of the showroom floor, after completing USAF Basic Training. I loved that car. Then almost died in it after making illegal U turn. Was hit from behind, by a truck going 60 mph! Went to hospital had 8 stitches in face and head, car totally totalled.
Oh my god, this is just starting and i have chills, I freaking love 2nd gens, wish I had one half as nice as this. I hope this ends up back on the road! Love the Content Derek Keep it up!
I highly doubt it, the roof is too pocked with rust to be salvageable for starters. As Derick said, it, likely good for parts and the motor is good, and its a 4 bolt main so there is that.
My first car was a 76. I absolutely loved it. That was about 25 years ago. Recently I tried to find one that I could buy and restore it like my first one. Surprisingly, they're difficult to come by
And I parked my 1991 camaro in 2015, and drove it around the neighborhood in 2020. My 1975 is just a yard ornament, but my 1977 is a good driving car. I have far too many Camaros.
As soon as I heard that exhaust I thought that the motor had a cam. Love all the content though the relivals are some of the best content. Thank you for doing what you do.
Derek ya made a hero outta me. My 5 year old grandson, who watches with me when he is here, was in my lap asking questions all through this one. When you first got it lit off and walked around back I said, "that sounds like it has a cam in it." Less than a minute later, you made the same observation. Grandson looked up at me with wide eyes and said "Poppa, how did you know that?". I explained the sound difference, (had to go start Nana's car to let him hear). He hangs with me in my home shop as do all my grandkids now and then. Then, he just melts my heart. "Poppa, we need to do what that Vice Grip man is doing" "What do you mean, buddy?" "Poppa I want us to get a car like that and fix it up. You can teach me to drive on the dirt road". Then, eyes lock mine again. Dead serious. "I am already 5, I will be able to drive pretty soon, right? And Poppa, I want a car with a cam. I like that sound. You need to teach me to be as smart as you and vice grip man is." "OK buddy, we will try to do just that". "But Poppa, I want the door to close. I don't want to fall out. And I want brakes, too." "No problem, grandson, I think we can at least get those two things sorted" We have a mission, I guess. Gotta start saving some $. Thank you.
Hi there VGG! I would just like to say I loved the first 1 minute and 30 seconds of this video, I thought at first I had pressed the wrong button and the begining of some motion picture film was just starting up... n o... it was VGG at their finest pulling out some new producing/editing style of which was new and fantastic!! Great work, keep em coming! 😁❤
Was about to say same thing then saw your comment, have to agree about the intro was a very touchy feeley sombre moment lol :) can't believe how well that lump was purring when it fired up :)
It amazes me (A) what a great mechanic he is, how entertaining he is, Being this good at something so important to everyday life that I wonder if he knows how we look at this dude, Respect! I'm not even close to being even a backyard mechanic much less a oh wow mechanic like Derek here is, that once I start a video I have to finish, He's just an entertaining dude .
It's amazing how much confidence a guy gets from binging these videos over time. I have my eyes set on all sorts of cars but never have the extra cash, gotta settle on getting my 80s motorcycles running I guess.
@@elobiretv yeah, I need to rebuild a clutch and probably refresh an engine while I am at it... I wouldn't have attempted it in the past, but I am glad I kept that old engine around
Great video, Derek. I had a 67 Camaro RS in high school. Sold it to my dad when I went into the military. He turned it into a badass drag car and raced it from the mid 1980s into the 1990s. I could send a pic of it at the Christmas tree taking off with wheels about 6" off the ground. I think that was in Indy. He had it down in the 9s at one point, but it was too unpredictable at that speed and he had to slow it down. Always loved going to the strip with dad. Actually one of my first memories as a mini human is from the drag strip. Must have been 2 or 3 yo. Have fun with the '74.
Thanks, Derek, for putting a smile on my looks yet another time. I can't understand how I could have missed this one but I did. A nice enough surprise to find it today. Absolutely dig your revivals. Thank you! With a lot of misery in my life right now I really need some humour in my life.
I’ll be dipped… a new VGG video and a Camaro at that! Gonna be a good one! Appreciate the great content and being an example of a quality human being with love for his family! Best channel on RU-vid! ✌🏻
The "being a quality human being" part is really striking. You just don't see many people in media that have healthy marriages and families, which is really sad, but really apparent.
Absolutely loved the video intro. Gave it a very heavy mood thriller feel. Wanted to say horror-ish feel as well considering what nature and time do to these cars you've found and rescued as well as those still waiting for you. Appreciate all the hard work you, Jessica and your whole family put into making these videos happen. Thank you again.
Love these videos amazing work on getting these old rigs back on the road 👍🏻 running and driving again. If you ever decide to put a fresh dolled up paint job on any of those rigs let me know it would be great to help out.
Derek, I love those engines that you could work on and feel that you were accomplishing something. Put plugs, points, starters, generators, thermostats, set timing among many other things. Great video that brought back many memories to an 80 sh. year old man. Thanks for what you do. Now, you have motivated me to go change my oil in my 1992 Dodge D-150, 5.2.
Derek takes me back to my youth, when I worked on 1950's cars, in the mid 60's, right out of AutomotiveTrade School. . Love the channel Derek, it's the best on You Tube.
The atmospheric introduction was super fun. Not the norm, and I loved it. Great job on this! I love every bit of what you and your family put out. You are awesome people and I can't get enough.
Always like seeing you go out and pick these rigs up. Haven't seen a lot of that lately. Hoping it's just winter and time and we will see that again. Love your videos as always.
Derek and Jessica such a great presentation. The intro was put together so well. Movie like. Thank you so much for putting in the work to keep our spirits up..
It never ceases to amaze me the finds that you get and are able to make run again. Imagine 23 years and mechanically this Camaro is still way better than a lot of other cars you’ve revived that have sat for a lot less time. I’m excited to see the journey this beauty is in for!!
Quick 4 bolt check. If there is a small pipe fit plug right above the timing cover, just left of center, it's 90% a 4 bolt. I've heard it had to do with the Vett not having enough room for the rear oil pressure sensor, so the heavier duty blocks have the hole as part of the casting.
Just Gotta say, Derek you and your family have a great life and a wonderful channel here, I got my brother watching your show and we both really enjoy watching you do you. It sucks I missed out on the raffle for the day with Derek but hopefully I’ll get another chance because I think my brother and I would love to hear a bunch of your stories over a few “cold snacks”. God bless and I hope you and your family continue to do well.
I ,ve learned more about repairing cars in the year since i,ve discovered the channel than i had learned in my entire life !! ( i,m 61 ) ..... The EDUCATION a fellar gets from watching you Derek is certainly time well spent !! I look forward to Fridays & getting a new vid very much . Also .... the entertainment value is priceless !!! Thanx for all you do Derek & family ♥👍
If Derek doesn’t know that tip I bet everyone he says & Join if you know it too, “Well I’ll be dipped.?!” Lol 😂 💪😎👍 He Rocks Cold snack on me It’s already in your ice-cube cooler- box make-er-happen-er Have a Good day VGG subs
@@chuckwhitson654 ahhh that was the tidbit roaming around the rusty cavern of my brain... that the 4 bolts were mainly truck motors and it was much harder to get one in a car. Then again, if the crate motor comments come true, then it would be easier to find that 4 bolt :) Thanks for the knocking of this noggin :)
You massively gave me the confidence to do an engine swap and auto-manual transmission swap on my old Mercedes Sprinter, full of electrical which made things hard, but when ever I got stressed or ready to give up, one of your phrases popped into my head and it kept me smiling and working. Love all that you guys do. I also filmed the rebuild series for anyone to take a look if interested. Keep it up dude!
DEREK… PAY ATTENTIONNOW! You could use one of these newfangled headlamp lights when working underneath where things get dark. Would help the camera peepers too.
Just finished up the 3 hr live stream the other day, great video. I feel very included in the bieri family on every video, love that..thanks a bunch Derek for the awesome entertainment.
First of all, love your channel. I’ve really gotten the motivation to finish my 81 Z28 thanks to you. And B, I work in a machine shop, when you scanned the peepers and made that funny noise, a guy had to jump out of his chair and stop his CNC because I thought it crashed. Thanks. I’m awake now. 😂👍🇺🇸
Awesome video. Camaro or firebird always hold a special place in my heart. I love the long videos and the in depth diagnosis. You are in fact the bob ross of automobiles. I love these videos
Watching these "will it run and drive" videos kills me, since I'll tow home a car pulled on to a dolly, yet when it comes to cranking it up to back it off, everything goes south. 0 for 2 on 2nd gen Camaros within the past 2 weeks (while neglecting my 3rd gen).
Absolutely love these videos. Been a fan for years and the quality of videos keeps getting better but sticking to what made you successful, clean humorous authentic mechanics. Great for the entire family! Thanks Derek and Jessica for making fabulous videos that are wholesome and can teach a guy or gal a thing or two.
Hi Derek, I found your channel whilst in the midst of a bitter divorce. You and your fantastic family have lifted me so so much, and I have consumed almost all of your videos. Keep doing your thing man, from an expat New Yorker looking for a way home. Kind regards, Jeff. PS not a HUGE FAN Of the 74, but what an engine!!
Hey Jeff- hang in there, in 2 years time (or less) you’ll be glad it ended. Check out Coach Corey Wayne here on RU-vid. He helped turn my life around years back. Check out some of his older videos, his new ones are just creepy
Jeff I gotta make a confession, up until recently (please don't gag Derek) I was driving one of them egg shaped Camaro's (2000) I know I know.... In retrospect I should have kept it even though its a 2000 - It had a big 6 banger in it, and T-tops (not a rusted through X-vinyl top with lightning holes. The 6 banger did pretty darn well for a 6 banger! I think the '74 has slightly more style LoL- All the best, everything always works out, you'll be A-OK!
ME TOO! His channel has been a lifesaver sometimes and a pleasant distraction from the hell of getting divorced from Satan 2.0. 4 years in and I'm hating the new normal but at least I'm not being cheated on, or lie to, or gaslighted, or berated, or insulted, or exposed to STDs... She cheated - but my kids don't talk to me - go figure... There'll be some explaining to do at the pearly gates for twisting up the kids lives to suit her, I reckon.
I would love to see you put a top skin on this thing and bring it back! My '68 Firebird was a "poor pattern to make one by" as I used to say - new top skin, new floor pans, new rear glass to decklid panel (obviously a vinyl roof car), new rear quarters, new front fenders, hood, valence and vent panels. It's easier to say what didn't get replaced! It looks like this Camaro is a lot closer to a real, solid car than my old 'Bird was. If you do decide to leave it in the trees, please put a tarp over it to save those floorpans and best wishes to you - love your videos!
Looking forward to seeing how this project comes out. When i first saw it at the start of the video I had almost zero hope of it being any good for anything other than spare parts. By the end of the video in typical fashion, you had me hooked. A fell just can't believe it.... but i can see it with my own eyes and well... I guess I have to. Thanks for sharing another awesome adventure.
I love listening to these non fictional stories. I am an amateur historian - I love all things history including cars. In fact I found this channel looking for some really old cars and found his Ford Model A Will it Drive Home? story and I was hooked.
You’re the man Derek! I recently started my own project revival because of you. 5.7 350 chevy tahoe. Last year of the OBS and I’m LOVING every moment of bringing this behemoth back to life. Thanks for the inspiration and motivation. You and your family are the best my guy!
'67 will always be my favorite but the '74-'77 were always a great car for me! You can get a complete replacement roof through Classic industries for that car for $348. That roof fits 70 - 74 camaros and fbirds
If a roof skin isn't that pricey, I'm pretty sure he's pretty good a welding after the tribute monte, I bet he could get this fixed up pretty well and send it down the road and maybe make a couple bucks off it I would think
Man this car sat since the year of my birth and you were able to put it back to life hands down ! These gen's camaros are very appreciated in France, it looks cool and its not to old for some people. Those barn finds are the best i understand why you gave so much interest to it, can't wait to see the next one :)
Anybody can spend a lot of money on new parts but Derek has the skill to make the most out of what he has plus he's funny with a great attitude! Restore this one Derek, she deserves it!
Hey Derek, I’m 20 and I bought my 1978 Z28 Camaro last year and I loved watching your video working on yours, got to see the underside in a new light because of you and some good ideas of what to work on. Loved the video and your content can’t wait to see what else is in store 💯
I absolutely love this channel. I haven't laughed out loud so many times for a long time. This channel makes me feel happy even when work is shit I just watch one of these and feel instantly better. A guy would love to see this put back on the road but its probably not viable. Keep going with the Cadillacs they are my favs!
Thanks for all your great rescues, watching them is inspiring my daughter and I to get ready to starting building a 454 into a 496 to later go into a chevelle. Family inspired videos were my kick in the butt for us to do our upcoming project engine. Love the channel, God bless you and your beautiful family sir. Thanks again. Gregg
Such great contents So easy to take in with good humour I've watched more VGG movies than ever And there's still plenty more I haven't seen yet keep them coming Derek and family And a big Hello and thanks from the UK
When I saw the condition of that roof, I immediately thought cut the roof off and make it a roadster! A very old, tired and rough roadster but would be fun to watch you turn that into something cool!
I absolutely love your videos!!! They are very entertaining but also very informative. You are obviously a very knowledgeable mechanic and definitely a car guy!!! I am very partial to the 1970- 1977 Camaro. In 1977 my mom bought a 1977 Z-28 Camaro off the showroom floor. It was a 350 4-speed and it was very unique. Chocolate brown metallic with a saddle tan interior. She had a mechanic work on it after she bought it. Changed the cam, intake and carberator, headers and Flow masters along with shocks, coil overs and sway bar bushings. She was fast and would handle like nobody's business. Mom was pretty mean with that clutch.
Not a bad way to spend a Friday evening, especially when I have to pull another 12-16 hour shift tomorrow. Having a couple wobble pops watching a feller tinker with this 74 Camaro. Looks like a fun project. Love the channel and the family involvement. Keep on putting out this great content and you know we’re watching.
I love it when a fellur gets all experimental with intros! This one was LEGENDARY! Keep up the great work Derek, "season 3" is going pretty darn good...almost to mighty fine territory.
Cool way to start this adventure...you folks kick ass! I love your family entertainment even Lil Grip Garage. I think it's awesome that your son is following in your footsteps Derek.
Just subscribed a week ago, been going through the videos and THIS one has to be one of the best yet! I used to own 2 mid 70s Ford Mavericks, dropped a 302 in one of them and wow what a fun car that was! This video reminded me of that car, and that ending had me heeled over in my chair clutching my ribs with laughter! Derek, you sir, remind me so much of the people I used to hang around with when I lived in the middle of nowhere in NW PA. I need to get back to working on cars again. Been too long! Keep up the good work, sir!!
Love these "Will it run?" videos. My pops and I used to do very similar things. I can recall more than one occasion driving some of these cars people left for junk home after me and my pops got them started. Thats how I got my first car. '76 Duster with a 318 that we bought for $75 cause the guy didn't know how to keep it running. Dropped a battery and alternator in it and drove it home. Keep up the good work Derek and family. Love seeing how you try to keep your love of cars alive with the boys too.
Fox the things that need fixing, starting with the brakes for sure and the drivers door. I’d love to see you get it road worthy and take it for a test drive. My first car at the age of 15 was a 76’ Camaro with a small block 400. Watching this video sure makes me want find another and restore it.
Another fine entertaining video! Yes, it does sound like it has a mild cam, but hard to tell from here. Jerk the engine out and part out the car is my suggestion. Your job is not easy as doing a production, editing, and of course the hours involved but you have fun and that makes it all worth the time and effort that both you and Jessica put in. Kudos and once again Thanks…
Your shows are so inspiring ihas got me back into rebuilding my friends engine from the ground up and going back to carb for a fuel makeit happened as you say.Keep up the awesome work Derek thank you soo much.
Derek and cleet are by a very large margin my two favorite guys on youtube. Thank you for another awesome video. A feller appreciates all your hard work you and the family put in to entertain us.
