The 2 cases so far have been way more complex than the stuff in AAI 1. Hell, this round against Courtney seemed almost like a final battle to me (though maybe that was her music more than anything). Also, Gumshoe has been rocking this game so far, not a fuck up in sight.

@@Fredcat11Not really. There was also lack of sales because most beloved AA spinoff doesn't equal money for Capcom when its first game didn't do so well so trying to localize it though they were probably operating under "not big enough in our eyes" logic.

He might be an idiot but I do kinda like Debeste. He's like my cat when he was just a kitten and running into tables and falling off the back of the couch all the time. Also, he kinda makes me miss Franziska because she'd have a field day with someone as dim as him. If she shows, I hope he tries to accuse her of murder because she'd not take it well at all and I'd be torn between pity for Debeste and amusement. Also, I don't think I've said this but Shields' voice is absolutely perfect. Cool, laid-back, yet commanding and firm.

Courtney's pretty damn smart! I actually really like her as a rival character to Edgeworth. While Phoenix defeats Edgey with quick, unorthodox thinking, Courtney listens carefully and applies the same kind of logic as Edgeworth, but to a greater degree.

And she compartmentalizes her argument as a contingency plan. If one part of her argument is disproven, the rest still holds water, until the whole argument is completely destroyed, whether it be one by one or all at once.

Say what you want about Ms. Courtney, but she remains one of the only people able to put up a genuine fight against Edgeworth with evidence and logic alone. She relies on bullshit restrictions, yes, but many of her arguments are valid on their own merit. The only other people who can genuinely put Edgeworth in a bind are Mia Fey and Phoenix Wright.

+Lumey Dump You got to give credit to Treeman. With those two traits alone, he managed to stall the argument for about 116 minutes. If he had both Courtney's logic coupled with those two traits, he might be able to take his flight to Allebahst.

Question: If only Knightley's fingerprinsts were found on the chysel and was not found any trace of be wiped, how come Simon could have used it to kill him?

Look at Simon's hands, he had gloves but most likely used the ripped off newspaper to clean his fingerprints and blood too.

No fingerprints may indicate that the murderer was wearing gloves,so not a solid proof of innocence.

Man, this episode confused me. Gotta admit, I got totally lost at some point in the explanation of everything related to Elbird's escape and stuff.

ShycoWar It is not well explained and some of Elbird's actions don't make sense if not to deepen the mistery of this case. For example, it does not make sense that he would not escape immediately after knocking out the guard and Knightley. Once the guard had woken up, he could have testified together with Knightley who the assailant was and the tunnel would have likely been found. It was by sheer chance that the guard remained unconscious for a few days after that. Also, you gotta wonder how he manage to dig up the tunnel so that it went right under the detention cell's bed (and even if he moved the bed on top of the hole afterwards, it's still miraculous that he managed to dig up the tunnel right on the edge of the wall). It's either an incredible coincidence or an act of absurd precision considering the inevitable imprecision that he had to operate on.

I didn't think of that. What I DID notice is that, if Dogen's blind, how did he recognize that it was a chisel and not his knife without picking it up to feel it for it's shape? Even if you came up with a reason as to why he could've figured that out without feeling it, it doesn't change the fact that picking it up would probably be his first instinct since I don't think he would've known he was about to be a suspect in a murder case, and thus, probably wouldn't have been so worried about leaving his fingerprints on stuff that he'd go to such lengths to avoid touching it in the first place.

It's obviously her even before she put a halt to the investigation. The second bell was in evidence Dogen's trail, and the warden had all the Dogen evidence given to her.

Knightley's fingerprints survived while inside the dogs mouth? Shouldn't the saliva or at least the tongue do some damage to the prints ?

Nope , fingerprints are tougher than most expect , if one were to remove the top layer if the fingertip skin , the person's finger prints can still be found efficiently , unless you do something like Yogi (first game , case 4) who burned his fingers and removing the fingerprints

Genzo Tan they’re talking about the oily marks left behind, not the skin itself. And saliva is pretty good at lifting oils, at least on smooth substances. I’m not sure however, if it would work the same with wood.

Am I the only one who's a little bullshit every time Courtney threatens Edgeworth's badge? She and Sebastian have been chasing around the idea that somehow Simon killed Knightley, their case is pretty much entirely built on circumstantial evidence. Edgeworth meanwhile has a much more solid theory that ends up being way closer to the truth than what they were driving at, and she STILL wants to take his badge?

I just realized , dogen's prisoner uniform has the label 'B-055' (most likely a tiny catch for the fact that every prisoner looks up the him , thus making him a "boss")

Actually it's a mouth guard, boxers wear them so their teeth are more protected when their opponent hit their facial area

The body was falling down for a while when Simon used his trick,then it stop maybe near the bottom then when it fell for the remaining distance I guess it was like jumping off 3 steps of the stairs at once

It might be one of those moments where either piece of evidence works. As I recall, there have been a few moments where Phoenix could choose what to present between two or three pieces of evidence, though I can't think of anything specific right now, I do want to say it happened in Justice for All at least once.
