The "one take" was very well edited to appear to be a whole tracking shot. The director actually said there were 50+ cuts just very well hidden.

the cinematography in that prison riot fight was 11/10. One of the best action movies in the last decade.

The showcase of the Georgian mafia/gang was really fcking accurate lol. A bunch of shit like that happened in Georgia in the 80-the 90s, but mainly after the USSR fell and everybody tried to be in control since we regained freedom. street gangs taking over city blocks, some kids really had to grow up in such settings. It was even worse than what they showed with Nagazi. You can search for "Toradze Brothers", there are a bunch of documentaries explaining some stuff from that era, would be really interesting for some people if there is anything in English. Also, the "Nagazi" translates to "Georgian Shephard". Some claim that breeds to be "Caucasian" but it's a Georgian breed, bred specifically for living in the mountains to keep the sheep safe. Religion(Christianity) is a huge thing in Georgia too so they did a good job of showcasing that part too.

Lupa needs to be a Va in a horror movie. His laugh with some eerie music is scary😂

One thing that sets apart Extraction movies is just how raw and visceral it feels, people tend to mistake gore for realism but the fight scenes feel so real we cant help but feel the impacts of every hit

At 23:45 the villan didn’t really said “this wasn’t a revenge” he said “you would kill one’s child in front of him if you want a revenge”, georgians had some really well put lines in the film but they were translated so badly😔

Extraction 2 might be one of the best Chris Hemsworth’s movies of the year so far.

The directors said that extraction was to be one movie with no sequels but fans really loved the movie so they decided to bring him back to life and make a sequel

I feel like every movie is trying to one up each other in one take scenes. John Wick 4 had the Hotline Miami one shot, the Bear had multiple one-shot sequences, and now Extraction 2 with a 21-minute one shot. Although there are hidden cuts in there, it's still incredibly impressive

The 21 mins one shot scene is brilliant!!! If you have seen the behind the scenes released..the director is also a stuntmant and doing the camera work...

In case you guys are wondering, people tanking that many pistol bullets is actually shockingly realistic. Modern body armor is shockingly good. Certain rifle bullets will penetrate easily, but top tier armor can aborb lots of shots from pistols and lower power rifles

I watched the first movie and I enjoyed it a lot, so waited, and went into this movie completely blind with only seeing one trailer that hooked me. That long ass one take blew my fucking mind, this is definitely one of the best movies to come out this year if not the best. Easily one of my favorite action movies of all time. This goes to show you that if people actually cared about their movie, and having the right people, the movie can work. Chris Hemsworth knocked it out of the park with this one. I'm glad to see him do well unlike that 4th Thor movie...

@yaboyroshi It took them 4 months in total to make that 21 minute scene, with all the choreography, practice, etc. Absolutely an amazing movie all around, I also love that this movie does vests semi-accurately, they will for the most part stop smaller caliber bullets, but some of the bigger 5.56 7.62 and higher rounds will puncture most of the time.

Sandro is easily the most horrible movie character of all time....IMHO..

they cut a lot just filmed in a way that there isn't one when they wipe it if you just watch it to look for anytime the full screen goes through a person or object.

The kid is dumb no doubt but as a kid that was born in to a rich/ powerful family, his up bringing/ his psychological thinking is a bit different from most common kids. U need to understand his mother is taking him away form his root to a different country without explanation, and basically having a start over as a poor immigrant. As an adult the thought of living your country to start over is already very difficult, let alone a child/ well in this case a rebellious teenager. Then again the big factor that lead to the kid ignorant is the Mom never explain to him what's going on. I'm not on the kid side but I blame his mother for his stupidity. His father/ uncle brainwashed him with their teaching but if you're the mother and you don't want your son to be like that... You gotta do better than just shut up and ignore your son questions. The actor that portrait the kid deserve a compliment for be able to play such a roll.

Sandro just about ruined this movie for me, he’s just such an unlikable lil’ tool who never really gets the retribution he deserves for causing so much death, destruction, and misery. There really needed to be a scene where his mom gives him a brutally hard slap right in the face and both she and his sister turn their back to him. That’s seriously the least he deserves.
