Missed opportunity to change the shifter bushings at the time you had it all torn out. Cheap and noticeable upgrade.

That shifter was made for the 96-00 Civic Ek. Also you dont even need to touch the console to change shifters...

I can't wait till you start with the engine work. I agree with you working on the other big stuff before working on the engine. If you don't get your basic stuff sorted out at the start your added power might not get completely to the ground. So cheers mate, and keep up the good work.

You're doing it the right way, don't worry lol. When building any solid Acura/Honda it's best to start from the ground up, wheels/tires-brake/suspension then power adders. Glad to see you delve into something that's not your norm.

That shifter is the OEM shifter, its called the Dual Bend

I can appreciate you building the car for more of the handling and feel side rather the power side. I think building a momentum car is far more rewarding then a power car. Can't wait to see the finished product before you start throwing crazy amounts of hp. You should do a rotorex supercharger because i don't see too many videos on a bseries supercharger.

im a total Honda fanboy and love the little DIY bit going on, B18 can be buckets of fun with B16 pistons to up the compression, ported and flowed head, crower 402's cam gears, chip the ecu, and a nice 4.7 final drive and 57m\2.2inch single box exhaust.....mmmmmmm

I just recently changed out the shifter linkage on mine and it was also located up underneath the exhaust. Shifting feels so much better now! Sometimes it's all about how well you take care of your ride, whether it'd be cleaning it up, how well you maintain the engine or any of the parts just stock. Sometimes the customization isn't really needed for it, but just enjoying it the way it came crafted from the manufacturer, just because it was so well built.

Love watching your videos bro. Integras have such potential for so many different build types. Looking forward to seeing the final product! Now that you're Atlanta based I may run into you sometime on 75 haha

Integra project is looking better every episode. Keep it up David. I think I have found some options to purchase. I actually found a 1991 integra that is for sale and has less than 40k original miles on it.

For future reference David. All of K-Tuned's stuff has instructions in PDF online you can download. I have a bunch of K-Tuned parts on my Integra and you usually have to download the instructions if the company you order from doesn't print them off for you. Loving the build and keep them coming!

These things are basically works of art. I really wish we had something equivalent for the Mk3 Focus platform.

David, you can also adjust the rotation of the shift knob. So you can move the extension/knob closer to your leg (unless they changed from previous version). I loved my ktuned shifter, it is fully adjustable. Also you can decrease or increase your shifter throw by adjusting the brass ball up or down the shaft.

They all are great fun to build. The B series has lots of potential. As long as your not stuck with a single cam D17 like me. Personally i love how turbos look mounted beside the k20 so thats what im saving for.

9:30 for those things what you should try is get a screwdriver and a hammer hold it stable with a wrench and pit screwdriver on top of whats spinning and hammer down to make a grove and then use your wrench to take it off it kinda like having a screw and a bolt

hard to watch this. 3 guys and you cant do a short shifter? thats like a 25 minute job. ah this was painful to watch.

There are a couple really affordable route you can go for power. Cheapest would be going the LS Vtec route, which is just swapping the head with a b16/Type r head (pr3 code) or a gsr/sirG (P72 code) head. That will move the power band up to the traditional high rpm 8,000-8,500 rpm redline (depending on cams) and net you about 40-50bhp. It’s a very easy swap, and they sell Kits with all the hardware needed. You could get a little more crazy but still maintaining some budget and go the H2B route which just means you are using an H series engine or Older F series (NOT F20C or F22C), but with the H2B kit you retain the factory B series Transmission, axles, linkage etc. which keeps costs down. H22A’s are mostly all around 200bhp stock and are very affordable, being a 2.2L they have great torque compared to the B18. Both are great affordable options that will get you significantly more power. I would personally like to see you do an H2B because they are kind of overlooked and it would be awesome to see great coverage on the process and fun results to show people they don’t HAVE to go K series to have fun while Naturally Aspirated. Sorry for the novel, big fan of the channel, keep it up!

I have a 1.4l single cam civic that makes 75hp, but it's on coilovers and i absolutely love it on twisty roads

Those bolts with the flat top we used vice grips to hold the tiny amount we could and used an impact. Then changed those out for bolt and a nut.

David I envy your ability to fit in your car to work on it. Being 6'5" 270 makes interior work a good exercise for me.

Have that same shifter in my EG hatch. feels really great!! makes me miss driving her because Canadian winter. Should have defiantly went and changed those shifter bushings to poly ones. That makes the most difference for sure.

I just changed my shifter out as well. I now have an automatic short throw shifter

For wheels, get *Konig Dial-in* 15x8. They are ridiculously light. *12.7 lbs!* they are flow formed wheels, so they are light but strong. That is, if the Integra has a 4x100 bolt pattern. But idk. SCCA made the official autocross tire the Falken RT516K+ in 225 width. That set up should be SOLID.

I like the stock shifter a lot. But im happy your making this video of doing stuff to the car its cool. Don't boost it because its fwd no fun. But you can make a nice track car that will help you learn how to drive around corners and practice

The B18B1 is a very reliable motor. I agree to keep it as is and focus on superior handling.

You can take a the centre section of that centre console by just pulling on it. Should give more than enough access for that job. You need to be careful but it's definitely possible.

Idea, if you even ever even see this: B16A2 or F22C1 engine swap maybe? Just an Idea. Thought it might be cool to keep it N/A. Love your Integra and your channel dude, keep it up

Love the Shifter but the bottom right angle looks funky but overall looks sick. 100% will help.

yeah we had the same issue on the honda we did literally had to yank it out the bottom and then drill the bolts out to put new ones in it

I like the way the shifter looks, it just looks out of place with the stock seats. Once you get seats in I think it'll look legit.

I replaced my shifter ball seat when I got my k tuned and the 2 bolts on the linkage holding the shifter ball in place are a pain in the ass!!!! I replaced them with 2 m6x1 bolts
