Thanks to IG @chony1703 for the amazing port work, and @PowerRevRacing for the thermal gaskets. DM and follow on IG for all your Jseries/VQ porting work. #jseries #savethemanuals #smpperformance Can also follow me me on IG @revsalot
Finally got these installed, still have soo much to do to this car the costs are overwhelming sometimes. Please like, share, comment and subscribe. It'll help grow the channel and revenue, which in return will give you guys more content🙏. P.S. Editing error near the start(waste of 30 seconds), and at the end showed the same clip twice🤦.
You Rock, dude, Ive watched this video 3 times and now I feel confident I will be able to do my installation. Keep those hands warm, and stop bleeding, will ya, lol!!!
Yeah, so I am installing a TB Spacer with the white thermal gaskets, 2 lower runners like the ones you installed and thermal gaskets with my stock spacer, and if I put in that 3.7 IM I should see some major improvement, right?
The P2R IM spacer changes the torque curve and the thermal gasket is to block/slow heat transfer from the cylinder head to the intake plenum. I run two thermal gaskets one on bottom and top.
I didn't get the IM spacer, cause I heard it takes away from top end a bit. Top end is what I love, more low end is nice too though. I just care about how my car works in high rpms roll racing.
Thank you! 👊That's amazing numbers, but we don't have e85 here unfortunately. I think that's what prince boodoo is making on e85 without the built head, but has all the other p2r parts. Supercharger 420whp stock motor, p2r making 500whp with the rotrex so🤷♂️. I just wanna hear a bov while driving🤤.
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bg2hNTYZBI8.html Leo goes into good detail of this step around 9:40 mark👍. It was a lot of footage so clipped out some stuff to shorten it.
I'd say get the head work done (with a dyno tune) before the Gerzy supercharger, but your point about the channel view is a huge motivator. I'd see it as, the head work will really benefit the supercharger, but if your supercharger is already on, will you really want to spend the money and effort to do the head afterwards? Just my 2 cents. What work are you planning on the tranny?
Yes, I will, cause I will never have enough HP haha. Also, another thing is I can hear it now once I'm boosted.."is it stock motor", cause lots of ppl want to know if their stock motor can handle the supercharger. The benefits to built head first would be making the fastest NA 4th Gen, make power to 8k, and being able to make 500+whp once I do get the supercharger. 👍 Benefits to supercharger, more views/subs/revenue, and more fun from the bov noises. 🤤
Hey a fellow Canuck, I finally found a mint manual, you mentioned in this video transmission problems. Can you elaborate? Maybe missed it in another video. Thank you sir
The 1st-2nd shift doesn't like to be shifted fast or else it will grind. So, as long as you don't bang 1-2 you'll be fine. I've replaced 2nd gear syncros twice now, but switching to synchromesh fluid would help from what I've heard.
Did you get the synchros from p2p also? I'm doing all 6 synchros and getting the trans rebuilt. This 3 gear grind is horrible plus the precat deletes busted at the welds had to get that warranty
No I didn't know he sold syncros, I'm getting from dealer. My syncros were just fixed about 25k ago, so I'm hoping they messed something up and it'll be covered🤞
I'm on a custom dyno tune using ktuner.. would doing this mod require me to alter my present tune? I don't wanna spend $600 in dyno time for a minimal hp gain.
@@RevsALot Yeah that's what I figured. I can't justify the price of those for no gain. I just picked up a 2005 RL for $1300, I'm gonna slap a 3.7 intake and throttle body on it. I'll probably gain like 4hp lol
