Personally I am one of the people that like quality over quantity with exhaust, so chops aren’t typically my thing but this setup with the x pipe really helped clean it up a lot and I love it. Can’t wait for more videos from my favorite RU-vidr
As a welder, those welds are more than questionable. Double check their work! I see places that don't a bead. But i'm nit picky about welds. Can't wait to see more!
I have an x pipe on my 6.0 and I’m definitely going to do true duals, it’s not bad however it’s not really loud enough for me it sounds good and is a cleaner sound but I definitely prefer the chop more.
5 to 10 axle dump. Only reason I did it is a guy online said the two best things that's ever happened to him is getting divorced and getting his 6.0 straight pipe axle dumped.
Nice! I just put an AFE delete pipe on mine. Sounds vicious, but I see what you mean about the droning. May end up going true duals sooner rather than later. And for anyone curious, it really isn't much louder on idle and startup. At WOT, its beastly, but its not even as loud as my old V6 car was with a corsa muffler.
Sounds great. Add another xpipe and a carven r muffler. I have 3 xpipes and about to put on 2 carven R mufflers. Trying different things on my exhaust till I get the sound I want.
I'm not a fan of the choppy sound. It sounds like the engine is beating its self to death. But with the X-pipe it sounds much better to me. But I'm not the owner of the truck. 👍
On my 2013 Silverado it has the rev limiter while in park also but if you put it in neutral it allows you to rev your engine to 5k. Wouldn’t hurt to give it a try and see if it works on your 6.2 for future sound clips.
It’s called true dual straights with an X pipe. I’m running this setup on my 2018 5.3 and am in love with how it sounds. You’ll hear more and more burbles specially when it’s cold out and cruising
Got to be careful calling it a true dual exhaust. Some of these ye ye’s out here will call you a fool. Had one jump on my case when I was commenting about my dual exhaust with and x pipe in a past video.
You could try to do a Nascar style exhaust system (especially if you like volume and rumble). I've seen some Diy Nascar Exhaust after finding out the internals of actual Nascar exhaust systems.
It pops now because other than your straights that sounded great already. Xpipe equalizes the sound for each pipe. Which raises volume for higher RPM. Smaller the exahust, 3 inch the more popping.
Do x pipes break in? I’m asking because I have a true dual exhaust and added an x pipe but it seem to have made it a little quiet. How long before it breaks in?
Trucks sounds good brother.. every time i drive my 6.2 it puts a smile on my face🙂.. I went with k&n black hawk cai and magnaflow cat back for that deep rumble🤘
I’m on my 4th truck now and I’ve never modified my exhaust but I just ordered my first kit, going to try out a Rough Country exhaust on my AT4 so hopefully it’ll be really nice and yes I’m putting a budget kit on my AT4 😂
I was just going to get an X pipe put on my 02 Chev Rado 5.3, I just had true duals put on, 2 1/4" from the cats to the start of the bed of the truck, then switched over to 3" out the back bent to 90s, no tips either raps/chops/pops like a mf lol. Can't wait to see how the X pipe sounds on my Rado. Good video! Chevy Power! 💪🔥
Definitely sounds amazing, but I'd love to see what else you have in mind. Maybe another x-pipe in will give more of a crisp sounding note?? Also, not having the chop 24/7 must be way more tolerable.
New subscriber; is that a Trail Boss with stock lift? I know there are plenty of mods, but curious about the wheels/tires and lift. I like the stance, but seems different than the Trail Bosses I’ve been looking at.
Try the borla extreme the one they threw on the f150 5.0, sounds loud and nice asf on the Ford. Need to change to it up. Change that setup up to the dual in single out, throw catatonic converters back in so those who can’t delete them know what they are looking at. So much you can do with combinations that no one puts out that can and needs to be put out. On all three trucks…
Awesome video, keep changing the exhaust up, I think it’s great content. That being said I was wondering why my cat back straights were so raspy compared to everyone else’s and duh I have an H pipe which is probably why. I didn’t think an H or x pipe would do that but now I know.
@@jaxaboi7999 my other truck took all my money 🤣🤣 not the Tundra but my chevy is currently posted for sale. If it sells, new Toyota and wheel & tire setup for the Tundra should be in the near future 🤷🏻♂️
Thank you for this video. I currently ordered that x pipe to add to my basically true duals with black widow mufflers. I say basically true duals because my catback came with a clamp that i looked at prior to install had a tiny hole in the center so it’s functioning like a hpipe at low rpm’s but the sound goes away at high rpms and definately sounds like true duals. Im hoping i get a noticeable change with the x pipe like you did. I had to send the first one back i ordered because it was suppose to be fully 3” and it necked down to 2.5 or less internally. 😡
Much better with the xpipe. Cleans it up but still get the good stuff when you lay into it. Put some longtubes on it. It will sound completely different. You will want to run some sort of muffler though. The rasp will be too much with straight pipes.
Upload was 30 min ago crazy coincidence I just got back from installing a muffler to my 6.2 high country on the pulser lt and toyo M/T with a roto-fab intake
What exhaust are you running? I got a 2023 Chevy 5.3l v8 with stock dual exhaust and I’m stumped on whether getting flowmaster or borla but I’m loving the sound on you truck Thanks in advance 🤘
