Advanced Wheel Settings Guide | Forza Horizon 5 w/ Logitech & Thrustmaster 

Great video! I know us wheel users are often left with things feeling not quite right in Forza, but playing with a wheel is just so much more fun.

This guide really helped me to get a better understanding of what i needed to do to get a better feel from my wheel. Mainly because I would always get clipping and never understood how to get it to feel natural. As such I was very inconsistent and made mistakes that were easily avoidable. Unfortunately my wheel oscillates regardless of the settings I use so finding that compromise was made a lot easier. Even though this video is over a year old, it's still super helpful.

I wish to say thanks for your help. I just got a g920 for horizon 5 and didn't know what to do. Not only did you give suggestions (including mentioning that everyone and every car can be a bit different) you also explained a bit about what all the settings do in a more layman's terms. So it was very helpful! I'll probably still use my xbox contoller (pc player here) for actual racing to keep progression going, but I plan on just driving around the map with the wheel for fun. Maybe once I get more used to it I may switch to using it full time, but seeing as I also play on a handheld (legion go) I'm a little iffy on that. But at least you helped in allowing me to not only get a good starting guide but to understand more of what I'm changing. Subbed!

Man this helped me a ton with my Thrustmaster TX to dial it in much tighter to what i want when driving goliath in S1 which is my favorite thing to do in the game.

Legendary, this helped me dial in my settings for g29. I turned sensitivity all the way down in Logitech g hub to help mitigate issues with center dead zone to help me stay straight and turned down off road feel and road feel both to 0.4 and it feels way more realistic and less random noise and vibrations which distract from the other things I’m feeling for. Also, turned deceleration deadzone maximum down to 75 to reduce how hard I need to step on the brake to get it to 100%. Logitech brakes are so hard to press I’ll flip my chair backwards and pull my steering wheel right off the table otherwise. 😂

just pciked up a driving force gt, I can confirm this guide is great for that wheel as it is very similar to the g29!

By far the best guide, the part about wheel rotation is really something i "needed" because i always felt SO much better at 720 compared to 900° in drifting and racing... can't really put words on how it feels but literally after long periods on 900° and switching to 720 i barely spin out now... like if i do it's literally because i put too much throttle not because something weird happened on the wheel side of things Also, The tune IS sooo important, i tried one of my best tunes on controller, on wheel it was horrible, on controller it was fire... oh and also the tips about the deadzone that you setup with the telemetry, Godsent

First off, I want to thank you for this video. I hated the way my Thrustmaster TX felt when I started playing, tried an online guide from a website and maybe hated that even more, and then I tried your settings and now I'm happy. All this said, I was wondering if you have halfway decent settings for FH3 and FH4 anyway? I currently don't own FH5, only playing it through Game Pass and once I've had my fill of it I'm going to let the sub expire. However, I do own FH3 Ultimate and I've considering grabbing FH4 as well. I know you said their wheel support kind of pales in comparison to FH5, but I would love to have at least passable settings for them at the very least. It sounds like you messed around with using a wheel in both the other games, so if you have settings on hand would love it if you'd share them.

Hey I have discovered that for SimRacing wheels with 900° rotation if you want it to play at 360° you have to change the steering linearity from 50% to 45% and death zone outside from 50% to 39% :D

I'm picturing myself behind a wheel set up which I don't own yet. I will own the set up eventually to happily do those things I use a tiny controller for now. I also plan on someday growing more gray hair instead of losing hair.

Turn10 should really add more wheel rotation ingame for people with a wheel installed. Just set it to apply when you have a Wheel for steering installed. Shouldn't be too hard for a company that makes games like this and have been for this long. Thanks HH. 👍❤

So I have the Thrustmaster 458 on Xbox one forza horizon 5 and I have zero steering wheel sensitivity settings under the forza settings for some reason please help. My wheel is so sensitive that if it goes like 5 degrees then I’m at full lock. The wheel is on the lowest sensitivity

I just got a my first wheel, a Leather TX for Xbox and PC used these settings on Horizon 5 and it feels alot easier than the stock settings though I miss the a vibration feel like in controller from the road surfaces, it's completely gone with these settings. Would these settings be recommended for Forza 7?

Any idea why deceleration settings wouldn't work? No matter what I do I only have 45% brakes.

The issue am having on forza my wheel settings feel good on road but off-road feels like am driving on ice always spinning around loosing traction

steering in fh5 is much improved but still a bit 2 dimensional compared to even something like assetto corsa, if you have gotten a wheel soley for horizon 5 i highly recommend assetto corsa as its cheap as can be now and is amazing on wheel, especially on pc with content manager and csp

I can't have 900° in the game! I have it when i am in profiler, but as soon as i start forza, it's no longer 900!!! What a pain in the ass!!!

question: I just got a G920 and I put in these settings, on tarmac it feels great, but when I go in the dirt, sand or gravel, and I drive a RWD car, I can't feel when to correct my steering when my rear wheels slip out. What settings do I need to adjust to feel my rear wheels slipping out, so that I can correct my steering sooner?

Fh5 on series x is a mess on my tx wheel. Can't set custom bindings so paddle shift up and TSS think they are the same. Clutch pedal doesn't work either and has been this way since launch. Loaded up fh4 still same issue with the handbrake but the clutch works fine.

Why does my Forza H5 setting on Advance stop, I have no Force Feedback scale or any of that at the bottom for my brand new G920 out of the box and installed today. IDK how to find those settings on FH5? Anyone? Its undriveable atm, snaps my wheel from left to right, left to right, I'm fighting this wheel like a bull all over the road.
