@Jeshua Fableson nope, it really is a 4age. at that time Keiichi's car still had the 20v 4age. Even around the same time, the Initial D team recorded Keiichi's 86 sounds for Takumi's new racing engine.
The close ratio GB is designed to allow an engine to remain in a relatively narrow(engine) operating speed...mainly used for high revving application...thus allowing the engine to remain in its precision range of the powerband...providing sustainable power and accurate(instant) throttle control.
quisiera un hachi roku, no fueron vendidos en mi país México 😢 y en EU creo que no tenían el 4AGE, Fujiwara Takumi dice que si le cambian el motor es como si fuera otro auto, que es el corazón del carro😢
Of course Keiichi's TRD 4A-GE Blacktop 20v gets my vote. It's engine note is the closest when compared to Takumi Fujiwara's TRD 4A-GE Silvertop 20v. Plus, it's the sound of a true high-performance racing engine.
@@jwayne_2936 I’ve had a few good opportunities to purchase one but I think they are just to much money now for how much car you get unfortunately and wanted something a bit faster so decided to stick with jzx for now
@RedlineXD 4age and its TVIS system is just like Vtec, during the mid 80's this little 4 cylinder was probably the best of all 4 cylinders. It could be that honda created VTEC after the 4age and its TVIS... honda just took it to another level though... but dayum hearing the itb's and just the sound of the different variations of the 4age is epic
Ok from just listening to the engines...it goes like this: 1 - Tuned 16v Big Port 4age?? 2 - Cammed and Tuned 16v Big Port 4age?? 3 - Tuned 4agze - Scubacharger haha 4 - Tuned ITB 16V 4age 5 - Tuned BT 20v 4age 3
@aimkoj TVIS is nothing like vtec. Vtec works on the cams and valves it self. TVIS is just an intake manifold contraption, which sorta hindered itself high rpm...which is why Toyota stopped using it.
12 years late, but Tsuchiya runs a 7A-GE ( 7A-FE bottom end with in this case a 4A blacktop head) built by TEC-ARTS on itbs and custom tubular exhaust headers, with a K1-planning (his own brand's) muffler.
@@slowdriver6868 Need to point out that its not the 7A-GE you hear in this video tho. TEC-ARTS swapped to the 7A-GE in 2012. Before that it was always the 4A-GE with TRD custom exhaust.
KT's AE86 definitely uses a custom TRD gearbox...thus allow use of the high rpm control ITB throttle precision and control. 20v project are definitely not the cheapest way to get power. Enough said lol.
