@@ajheartsong Fr, I felt bad for him only to see that he was a rapist and was ready to abandon his family, is unfortunately when blood and cheese happened I didn't really care as much because Aegon was about to dip.
@@InterceptorUS But they skipped so much of their teen lives. We should have at least dedicated a season to showing them growing up and being corrupted by their mother's anger/fears of the crown. Right now, the strong boy (well, the one that's alive) are the least interesting in the series because of how we skipped over his whole life up until now. We know nothing about him, aside from the fact that he's ballsy.
He always wanted to do that. He literally ran away the day of the coronation, even now he’s clearly not enjoying the king position, even more after recent events
I agree that Aegon telling Aemond “I’m as fearsome as any of them” in season 2, episode 3 was funny, but he must have some skills. It wouldn’t make sense that Aegon and Aemond were both trained by Cole but only Aemond can fight
He and his dragon will showcase the deep depths of the character. If you read the book you'll understand he closes to his Sunfyre and they rarely lose.
@@FunkyFunky7345 ...does he really? He only does SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER - due to smallfolk riot in King's Landing and Rhaenyra's mistake of returning to Dragostone (or whatever) which gave him a window of opportunity. You know that in the end, he doesn't win though.
I feel like aegon and haelena and them couldve all been really good friends if it wasnt for the adults. Except aemond that boy was a weirdo. Like he's the dude thats just weird and doesnt vibe with anyone, if he didnt get vhagar and lose an eye he prolly wouldve been off skeeving around like little finger and hang out with a bunch of other weirdos that like to draw or some shit lmao.
He didnt even want to be king and now people make fun of him for not being good at it. His first born died because his mom made him fight for a crown he didn't even want
The current Aegon actor is great but I wonder why they couldn’t continue with this one. He’s 22 now which as far as I know is the age Aegon is supposed to be by S2.
I also find it funny that Alicent is literally too young to be playing Aegon and Aemond's mother as they're all only a few years apart in age. I know they desperately try to make her look older but you can only do so much when you're show mom is at the most 3 years older than you lol.
So far, he is one of the best characters in season 2 and Tom Is doing a great job... I hope it stays that way and they keep the subtleties of his character
@@Bielgv1u don't what better character means do u It's not about "who's good" but who is best written, and rhaenyra so far IS the most boring character ever, "I'm so good I don't want War I cry" lmao bullshit. She was a War criminal as any of them in the Books.
@@galahad1876 he was always a monster, he wasn't taught to r word anybody he did it of his own volition. sure he wasn't forbidden to do it, but nobody had to teach you not to be an R word I hope. like your dad or mom didn't sit you down and give you the consent speech I hope.
Aegon's such a tragic figure. He liked his nephews they were more like cousins, or brothers. He never wanted to be King, he would've been happy being a Prince who walked around getting laid. Even when he ascends the throne he's not good at it, he's actually generous to the common people, and likes common people. But he's not a fighter, a warrior, or a leader. I was disappointed we never seen anything about his reaction to Luke's death, I think he'd actually be upset about it. Now we see what happened between him and Aemond just because Aemonds was angry, unlike Luke however he meant to kill Aegon and failed. The reason being in the brothel he finally realised, that Aegon was the one behind his teasing as a child not Jace or Luke they were just kids. The worst scene is we see what pathetic bastard Coal is, taking out his anger against Rhaenyra on her innocent children. I do wish we had a scene were Coal was told odd for this by other Kingsguard, the hand, the lord commander or Visery's himself.
Are you kidding? Aegon did not like them. Watch the full scene he couldn't even remember their names because he was always drunk😂 and when he was not Aegon saw Jace and Luke as his playthings as Alicent said.
Alicent was so crazy here. I know it was more otto in her ear making her think this stuff. But like rheanyra had no intention of hurting alicent’s kids. lol.
Don't use the slur crazy. She was just applying average logic to their situation, usually in medieval world mercy is rare and rival heirs are eliminated
Tennant Jr did a great version of teen Aegon II, but I cannot help but think that if he grew that fast (in height) that he should be so much taller come the end of season 1. Nothing against the actor who plays him now in S2 but I think if S1 had stayed with the teen actor, then by the time season 2 was filmed, he might have grown enough for age to not be an issue? I just can't believe that Aegon goes from being so tall compared to all his siblings to being the shortest, especially next to Aemond.
maybe he stopped growing, it happens, some mens just hit one big grown spurt and then never grow more, it happened to me jaja cant say anything as i like new aegon actor
Tragic, considering he took the crown to protect his family only to have Aemond stab him in the back to try to take said crown for himself. If I was Aegon I'd have got on the back of Sunfyre with all the food and gold I could steal and fly far away from the Seven Kingdoms as possible and never return The world is a big wide place full of wonders and horrors to explore. He could have followed in the footsteps of Elyssa Farman, Lomas Longstrider, that Belaerys girl and the Sea Snake himself. Travelling and Trading are the only moral ways to use a dragon after all. Let all the inbred fools who want to fight for power kill off one another while carving his own path in distant lands.
Cole should be the one that says that he could die if not take the crown LOL Aegon 2 lacks of father figure and Cole is the one doing the work, same with Aemond But no, more Alicent scenes talking to the wall
@@jmwall24 not necessarily, it might be about Tywin's flooding the mines but i think it represents the recklessness of anyone who is associated with the Iron Throne
Alicent is right to be afraid. Rhaenyra may not have killed Aegon and Aemond, but Jacerys and Lucerys may have. Robert and Ned basically moved mountains together, but Joffrey and Robb didn’t even bother trying to be friends and disliked each other from the beginning. Ned even foresaw that this would be dangerous in the future.
Did u forgot that joffrey is jaime's son and not robert's...i can catch ur point though...! But robert's son gendry share the sense of humour as his father..you can see that when he talked with jon snow..it started like our fathers are friends...barotheon's and stark's share a little brotherhood by nature...but not true lannister boy joffrey!!!
@@Ganeshakey Steffon and Aerys were best friends, but Robert drove a war hammer through Rhaeghar’s chest. The point is that you can’t predict how the next generation will get along with each other. Joffrey’s legitimacy has nothing to do with this conversation.
@@D2attemp yeah thats why i sadi i could catch your point..i stated the parallels of gendry and jon comparing to joffrey to rob like the same way you did..! Its not about legitimacy..we are talking abt the fiction in which dragons can be rided by targaryns as they have literal dragon blood in their veins.. So joffrey is not robert's blood and he is just cruel young boy..your point is crt am saying a different things..!
@@Ganeshakey your just speaking in gibberish now, but can you explain why Robert and Rhaeghar tried to kill each other even though they are true born sons and their dads were best friends.
@@D2attemp i just pointed out gendry and jon scene resembles robert and ned interaction scene..thats all...but i dont understand why even though i already told your point is good you become aggressive and bringing up lot of father son duo..whats your point though..even am saying we cant be certain of friendship based on father's friendship... Why should i explain to someone who gets offensive to withstand their statement and not open to listen others...!
@@vahagnmkhitaryan9909 no it isnt, sure its a possibility if you look at it from their pov but had rhaenyra got the throne there would of been no reason to kill them and its never said in both the books and show that shed do that
@@wbgawfhu9owahfo126 Rather, from a political point of view, this is a reasonable fear, even if the greens step aside from power, there will always be lords who want to involve Otto's grandchildren in a conflict against Rhaenyra, and in order to avoid this, it would be logical for the blacks to simply kill the King's sons or, at least, send them to the wall. It doesn't matter if Rhaenyra would have dared to do this or not, Otto is an experienced politician, and for a politician he thinks logically
