Love Betrayal at House on the Hill and I had the creator as an English professor in college. Games can go great or terrible depending on group experience.
The webs in the chapel reminds me of one session of Betrayal at House on Haunted Hill I played. Just as the Haunt started, the traitor went into a new room, which happened to be the Chapel, he drew Webs... and got stuck for the rest of the game. The survivors didn't even encounter the traitor, he was stuck in that blasted web while they leisurely solved the haunt. We agreed that we then let him out of there like "what are you doing in these webs? By the way, you would not believe what just happened to us, it was rad!"
Oh, okay. So you guys were house ruling it? Because I'm pretty sure the traitor can elect to not be affected by stuff like that, and that the webs let you go after you've tried to release yourself the third time
Scopesightzx unfortunately, his entrance as the traitor was pretty much the only thing exciting with the first game, given how dreadfully short the haunt was
Good video - I just have to say for Crokinole, as long as an opponent's piece is moved from a shot, the shot is legal. Sure you can play house rules, but in the actual rules of Crokinole you are absolutely allowed to hit your own piece into an opponent's for a legal shot.
If you have trouble getting your clip to stay on your character card, put clear masking tape on the edges. I think I put 2 pieces on each edge, but its just enough to get the clips to stay on.
15:10 "what your all drinking" 24:20 "i'm over here now" 27:00 "what is it with this house" 31:30 "webs" 35:20 "ox comes back with all this stuff" 40:30 "calm down" "she's had a loli" 41:40 "i cant read" "woo woo woo" 42:45 "you uncovered the webbed room" "did you get stuck in slime, Alex?" 48:50 "is that the fucking theme from" 56:10 "why, why, is not all, everyone hereee-oh my god" 1:03:30 "you can try mother fucker" "beep beep" 1:04:20 Annie are you ok? 1:07:30 "i'm a little grill" 1:09:40 "here you go old man!" 1:11:40 "take my energy" and "stick to the plan" 1:16:55 "to be fair" 1:17:40 "count the number of teeth" 1:24:50 "the one cheek rule" 1:26:46 "where is the camera?" 1:35:20 "try a different finger"
Yeah, my google-fu is weak in this instance. I need more keywords. I've managed to find a couple of crappy techno mixes with dialog from Counterstrike from 7 or 8 years ago, but nothing like what they describe. Please help.
Yeah, that's the main issue I have with the game; certain haunts are so heavily skewed in favor of the traitor or the survivors. For example, the werewolf scenario is silly amounts of hard for the survivors, it becomes borderline unbeatable if it lasts for more than three turns.
Maybe it was just that hard because A: we hadn't found the gun or the place with the silver bullets before the Haunt started, and B: we were only three players... and one of the two heroes got bitten and turned into a werewolf.
i got one question that seem *NOBODY KNOWS THE ANSWER* for what purpose is the little number on the monster tokens? what is that? what's that indicating? since the got DAMN rule book talk jack shit about it and forum aren't talking about it
6 month old comment-- but the little numbers i believe go through 1-6 or something like that? its so you can have more then 2 monsters and keep track of which monster you've already moved. 'i attack monster 1' 'monster 2 is stunned'
I'll never understand drinking before/during a board game this complex. (And this is only moderate in complexity. Just, like, of course you'll struggle to retain what you learn playing if you're wasted)
@@Alino- I've actually found that when I play board games with my non-gamer relatives, a small amount of alcohol generally improves their patience when they're listening to my rules explanations at the start of the game.
