After 100 days sober from weed, these are the biggest benefits I’ve noticed

Something I am most proud of. Getting sober after 7 years is one of my biggest achievements in my personal life because of how much I tried and failed over and over again. I always said I would and I never did but here we are.. and we aren't going back. Hopefully some people can relate

Crazy to see so many comments with people who can relate exactly to me, who have their own set of benefits, who are just trying to get sober in general, personal stories and a lot more. Also happy to see that everyone is supporting each other in their separate journeys and encouraging each other. Thanks for getting this to 10k views. Part 2 of this video about the 200 day mark is coming out around August 3rd (since that is when I will hit 200 days)

Good on you bro but just some advice to you, don't worry about how many days you are sober because many people that live this way of life are still trapped in this idea of being an addict and that's exactly why they eventually relapse. My advice is just move on and go on with your next adventure in life. You were young, you had fun, you had experiences with that stuff but that's it, it was just a chapter and now on to the next. You are still young btw, but man, life it too short to count days of being sober, that's not our purpose here. Find your purpose and live it! You look like a good man and have tons of energy to make positive change for yourself and others so keep it up man, good luck with your journey!

Funny that this came across my feed the same day I planned to quit weed for good. I've lost the past 2-3 years of my life to this plant. I've lost relationships and opportunities I could've made something great out of. All my friends are about to graduate college next year or have already graduated. I like viewing content like this because it helps give me a sense of something to look forward to while also discrediting my fears that I will be this socially inept and dumb forever. It feels like I've completely derailed my life at 21 years old. However, I know this is most likely just the weed talking through paranoia and fear. When you talked about feeling more alive, it really resonated with me as I remember saying the same thing at the peak of my mental/physical health directly before I started smoking. I want that drive and hunger for life again. I want to feel like ME again. Thank you for posting this. Here's to a lifelong commitment to feeling alive for all of us on our sobriety journey. :)

This video exactly describes the benefits I feel, 3 months now for me and the BIGGEST thing for me is the memory, being present, and not just feeling like a dumbass. I loved smoking weed for years, weed eventually just became me, everyday morning to night. Weed had a grip on my life, it wasn't easy to quit, I honestly still crave getting high and listening to music everyday. Despite that, I feel amazing and anyone struggling with weed addiction just know its better on this side. I tell people this all the time that I clearly see are addicted but just wont admit to themselves that its not healthy to be smoking everyday. Wish I was one of those people that could get high every couple months... but I love the ganja too much lol. On to the next chapter in life, great video!

Any time you bring it up people just brush it off as "not as bad" as other drugs. Which is true. But that doesnt mean it's healthy either. Oreos are healthier than methamphetamine, but eating Oreos 3 times a day isnt healthy. I'll do an edible once every few weeks when I have a day off. But a lot of people don't have the ability to limit their intake and really overdo it.

Here's my experience after completely quitting after several years of doing it on a nightly basis: After the initial urges go away within a few days, the crazy vivid dreams start. This can go on for ages and can be quite disruptive to your sleep. This is the only real negative long term withdrawal effect that I've noticed. There are several benefits, however; Having a much more balanced mood is the best thing as well as an improved memory. I've also been able to get things done much quicker and have more desire to go out and do things. I loved the feeling of getting high but it's honestly better to be normal!

The biggest one for me so far is the feeling alive part. I actually want to do things outside of the house now. Also the eating part is kind of giving me troubles as I don’t want to eat much anymore, which is fine for now because I have some extra LBs to lose but I feel like I have to force myself to eat and I hate that. I’m hoping that it comes back to normal like you said it does. Also your delts are absolutely popping in this video my guy!

quitting doesn’t only improve your sleep but it improves your REM sleep which is connected to retaining things you learnt, processing trauma etc.. my biggest motivation to never be a chronic smoker again & to quit for now is that i want to be smarter. i have limited time to learn a lot and i will still never learn all the things i want to. weed is going to slow me down and lessen my potential. maybe after my frontal lobe fully develops i may partake more sparingly but not now. also i have ptsd and i gyat to get my brain to hurry the fuck up and process ts

For me, the main benefits are that my appetite comes back, my lungs and throat don't hurt, I cough up less mucus, and my bank account has money in it. Then I have a bad day and I start dabbing again. It's hard to stop, because I struggle with my mental health, and weed usually calms me down. It's hard when I'm on the verge of a panic attack, and I know one dab will calm me down instantly.

I wish people talked more about weed's impact on a person's young mind as it is developing. The human brain completes it's full development in mid to late 20s. This is why Weed should even be touched until about the 30's. Destroying brain cells before they develop is going to have long term effects.

I was a user in the 80s, and alcoholic. Quit the weed but nearly met my end with alcohol. I couldn't sleep during the pandemic and started using cannabis in various forms. Fast forward to today and I'm a sr. citizen stoner. An addict. Didn't plan for this. Looking seriously on quitting, looking for a way out - I appreciate your sharing A LOT. .

The "looking at life through someone's eyes" phenomenon is called depersonalization. I've felt it and it can be horrifying. Luckily, it seems like you didnt attach any anxieties to it but many people do and it can take years to get rid of the sensation and all the anxiety/depression that comes with it. Good thing u recognized it on time.
