Especially if you're having shoulder surgery. I've had many surgeries over the years, and, yes, the pre-op preps actually do this. I've had "not this side (X)" or "Other side", etc. as a tattoo for days after surgery.

No pouch, sew seat belt webbing on right side of pants, 2 pencils(nice tip btw)one marker preferably Milwaukee, next, Knipex pliers in the deep side pocket on(always handles down) carpenter jeans, many different brands, they all change, tiny flashlight clipped into front right pocket along with the work pro quick change box cutter(you can pay more, but you get less), lighter in right rear pocket(I don't smoke, but you need fire), left rear for bits, and for tape measure that clips to front right side when being used, Milwaukee Autolock 16', otherwise, the smallest auto lock I can find, but checked to make sure it's accurate. Everything else rotates as needed for job. No belt, suspenders. Hold ups, best clip for not destroying your pants. Enjoy all EDC from others. thanks for sharing.

I use two flat bar pry tools. One to open the trim. A second one to pry further down the trim. I use putty knives from the Dollar Tree as a backing surface when prying. I made a bent Dollar Tree putty knife by securing it in a vise and heating is with a propane torch, then beat it to an angle with a hammer. I used it for working on aluminum siding. It is also good for pulling in tight gaps. I use a Dollar Tree painter's too for pulling weeds from cracks in concrete. Another flat too to get is a long flat brick chisel. (12l x 7/8w x 3/8). I use it to nail in tight spaces (close together studs or behind lap siding) where it is impossible to swing a hammer. I lay the chisel on the nail head and beat the bar with a hammer to drive the nail in.

I have a few of those small pouches of various brands and I use them all the time. Gardening, trim work, cleaning the house, just having the stuff on my hip is so useful. Most recently I decided to measure all of the walls in the part of the basement I am remodeling so I packed one with a pencil, torpedo level, laser measure tool, tape measure, and a painter's tool because why not? I believe if facilitated the job beautifully because I was not fumbling trying to hold things or digging in my pockets.

That spring nail set is brilliant. I'll need to get one and try it out. I just got a couple of the springloaded press punch types for metal work. The Staedtler pencils are/were the go-to when I was in engineering school. My father and his were tool and die makers, and I have a box of Staedtler drafting tools going back almost 100 years, plus the drafting stuff I bought in around '80 for school, still in use. Supergluing the eraser is a brilliant idea. Going to steal that, thank you. The Titan prybar, yes! Sharpie, forever. Milwaukee came out with their own, which I've found has a more durable tip. or the blade, you can't beat the size of the Olfa. always have those in my various bags, but I tend to use the Milwaukee Fastbacks more. do pretty much everything except fine carpentry work, mostly because I can cut a piece three times, and it's still too short. I love my old leather pouches, as they last forever. keep one similar to what you're using that goes with my bigger/different electrical/plumbing/? setups. Thanks for posting. (I found that 10 thumbs works marginally better than one.)

Instead of snap-off knife blades, I just use pliers and snap off the dull tip of a standard utility knife blade. It's a more comfortable and safer tool to work with when pressing hard on it. Usually can do each end twice. Also in a pocket should be a Knipex "Cobra". Once you discover how handy they are they'll become an EDC item.

Man I really appreciate your bloopers. I feel like same exact way trying to find my words sometimes lol. Great rig there. I agree on everything. I will recommend trying Milwaukee inkzall sharpies. I would say they're much more durable than regular sharpies. This is probably most noticable marking glossy tiles while using a wetsaw and not losing your mark like with normal sharpies.

Have you seen the swedish brand Cirk-L? They sell a pair of pants with a loop system on them thay allows you to hang any of their addons. or if you want to make your own you can do that too... anyways. the great thing with it is that its very versiltile, you have plenty of space for nails and screws when you need it. if you dont need it you can just unhook the pouch or just slide it to the back where it's not in the way. best workwear i've ever had.

Good list. I prefer a specific stile mechanical pencil, a 10mm utility blade, and a metric tape. But, lots of great stuff here. I would also add a Purdy folding painters tool. I carried the Warner version for years but they don't make them anymore. I like these so much I have been thinking about having a custom version made with better steel, and a 2nd flexible putty blade.

I know sharpie is such an iconic name for permanent markers. But man I learned real quick Milwaukee fine point markers are the best. When I worked at HD in Lumber and loading department I would some how always get the caps to fall off and it would leak all inside my apron Or they would dry out and never work when I needed them to, man a manager gave a Milwaukee one where the cap clip broke so couldn’t “sell” it anymore. Thing lasted forever and still have it today some 5 years later

Alright finish setup but I would make some changes. Graphgear 1000 mechanical pencil (accurate and consistent), quick open olfa (the wheel takes too long and is pointless), Veritas 6 inch precision layout square (favourite tool), Rockler marking and measuring pouch (your pouch is kinda mediocre honestly), Personally I run mini japanese flat bars for the pouch (the titans/richards get caught on everything), also fatmax is just ok...
