We have some more fun on this video and discuss some of the best looking and worst looking aftermarket wheels you can put on your Ford Fox Body Mustang (In my opinion) www.417fox.com
Top 5 choices are spot on. I have a set of stagered Pony R's in chrome on my LX and it looks so good. I'm at a crossroads to get either 18" new edge saleen in chrome or 18" SC wheels in charcoal from lmr for my GT. Don't forget the drop, it will make or break the look.
My absolute favorite aftermarket wheels are the Borbet Type A and the Indy type wheels (like on the Starsky and Hutch car). Putting a set of Indy’s on when we get our Fox back
Good job on weight loss. 1 day at a time. I recently got some 18" sve nvx's for my fox. Haven't got the car all together yet , hopefully this spring it'll be on the road.
Agree with all of your picks here. I also dislike any type of three spoke wheel no matter what type of car they're on. I believe the new edge mustangs had them stock.
I am however partial to the big and little weld wheels. My first car was an 88 lx vert. Cowl hood, weld big and littles. It was bought from a guy who dragged it at our local track so it had a little kick to it. We eventually used it as a donor car after my dad retired. Built a factory 5 cobra Rep. I currently drive an 03 mach 1. But my next project is going to be replicating my first car. Welds and all
Awe man, I had a set of Staggered Centerline wheels 17x8, 17x9.5 on my 90 GT. I loved them at the time. But, times have changed. Thanks for what you do!
Hey man I didn't know you were doing the keto diet! That's awesome. I've had some fantastic results using that over the last 14 years to tighten up for summer. Forget all those "keto" things from the store, they're all bs. Stick to real food till you get where you want to get. Biggest bit of advice I can give you, embrace the fat in the diet. It doesn't work as well if you keep your old mindset that fat = bad. You need it on that diet. Also intermittent fasting helps so much. When I'm doing it I'll eat noon to 8pm. Just water or black coffee outside of those times. Good luck and keep it up!
Im not a mesh wheel fan either but for some reason they look good on an 85 gt to me. Im a big guy also and were almost the same weight so Im right there with ya on the same journey. New subscriber.
Yup your number 1 is my pick also. Love the vids and thanks again for the hvac kit mine came out trick because I added my own touch. Wish I could share a picture with you as I'm kinda proud of it. I don't do Facebook.
keep doing it man i know sometimes it gets hard trust me i know. Am looking for the BBS rims myself for my foxbody. And keep up the weight loss program
Well agree wheels except the big in back and little in front. My fox has Rodlites 15x10 back and 15x6 front. Ive always loved the old sxhool drag style. Then again its only me plus i used to take my xar to the drag strip as well.
Five worst spot on you are absolutely right. Well at least with four of them. The Cobra R's gonna look hard on the Infamous Project in a 19. But personally I wouldn't go larger than the eighteen.
Can you get a 17 x 10 Pony that is deep dish? That deep dish is one of the best features of a wide wheel for me. Centerline Warrior drag wheels were cool imo.
Good list and yes, the RK's are awesome. That said, I can't get behind the 18" Cobra reps due to the concavity of the design. Original 5 Lug Cobra R's in silver finish should be in the top 5 for sure, it was the 4 lug versions with the oversized center hub that look horrible. BTW, ROH's were 17x8.5
Cool list! 👍 I agree with some choices (Best and Worst list). - Wire wheels definitely look out of place on a fox body Mustang and generally any car that is from 80s and younger! - 19" are just too much, even 18" to be honest... 17" or smaller with meatier tires looks the best and is period correct! - The Centerlines you showed are indeed not the best looking wheels. There are certain Billet wheels that look badass on a fox body though! Have a nice day!
I see you’re running with the sve series 3 wheels. Am I correct? I’m looking at those for my 2012 red candy metallic in a staggered setup with gloss black
I still don't understand why BBS or someone else doesn't just remake the RK wheels. I know from one of the forums that BBS no longer has the molds and to remake them would be expensive. I know Im in for a set if they ever do it.
That was very entertaining even though I’m f body guy. And I always liked those SVT rims to. Brushed aluminum with those little rectangles all the way around close to the lip. You know which ones I’m talking about?
For now my 93 Reef Blue Metallic coupe has a M I N T set of staggered ROH Snypers on it. When I go 5L/4disc I'll likely go staggered FR500's unless I have the stack to buy some FORGELINES or HRE's or some American Racing Torque Thrusts or Vintage Wheel Works in 16 inch, no caps and long lug nuts to complete a "Trans Am" racer look. On weight loss, the weight room has the potential to be your biggest asset if you have access and a trainer with a brain. 5lbs of fat takes as much space as a loaf of wonder bread. 5lbs of muscle takes up a space slightly bigger than a softball. 5lbs is 5lbs is 5lbs. Muscle DOES NOT weigh more than fat.
My number one is the RKs. I need those RKs in my life 😂😂😂. I love Nicks Cobra Rs in the original gray color with the two tone paint job sets it off big time. 🤔🚫🧢🚙💨💯💪👊 I really like the 18 inch chrome Pony's in 5 lug that were made years ago but I think the company went out of business. It's hard to pick a number one for me as well. The polished Centerlines 🤢🤮 I remember they were in partners with Boyd Coddington etc and they were all ugly to me 😂😂😂. Good job on the weight loss so far. I need to really buckle down myself
@@417fox the handling and stopping isn’t that great with them. On the mustang I have now I have the “factory” 195/70r14 on the front and 255/60r15 on the rear so it’ll still handle well. Plus with a 13” steering wheel and manual steering going bigger isn’t too much fun in town lol.
@@417fox I see the sterns are later in the video. Cool video. I am bias since I do have some 18inch 3 pieces sterns on my sAleen , thank you for the video. Awesome job on the diet
Everyone doing these foxbody wheel videos don't mention the 18 in four or five lug 2000 cobra wheel.Went to foxtoberfest in my 89 ssp.I was the only one there from Texas and the only one with 18 in 2000 cobra wheels.
Its all opinion. Wheels are wheels. 10 HOLES SUCK NO MATTER WHAT THOUGH. I have Cobra Rs and everyone hates them on my feature. I give zero F%^KS. Its my car. I also promise you infamous will not have those dumb ass looking ride heights. He knows his stuff. Those were truck 20s you showed lol. Not hating. Just giving my opinion. Keep the vids coming.
Yes! Daytons/Wire wheels on a Foxbody are just plain awful looking! Centerlines are also hideous! But you forgot these rims that look horrible on a Foxbody....Cragars!!
