Ghost Rider's host is capable of using some of his abilities without fully changing even in the comics. most likely he has been Ghost Rider long enough to hone his abilities.

What I like best about AoS are the lines that would look cheesy on paper, but come out awesome when put to film. "Too bad you can't put that on the tour," or, "Desperate times - desperate measures" from last season. They make it work so well!

I really love Robbie's lines. He's instantly becoming a fav for me.

On the whole identifying car/jacket thing: In the comics, Robbie has the same car and jacket, but I sort of figured that the neighborhood they live in is pretty bad and don't really get any help from organizations like SHIELD or even the FBI, and the cops are pretty much useless. Robbie even regularly used to street race and never worried about cops except for in issue #1, so I think that the whole neighborhood is happy to have a guardian. The mural is even a shoutout to the cover of issue #6, which takes place after the Battle of Hillrock Heights when he saves the neighborhood from Calvin and a cartel he hired to start a gang war, but Robbie didn't start killing until the end of the series, so it's probably a continuation of All-New Ghost Rider in a way and the tally was added once they realized he killed people. Also, Robbie's possessing spirit in the comic is his uncle Eli, and until he met Johnny Blaze he didn't know who or what Eli was, so Eli might be referring to himself as the Devil instead of a human spirit. And Gabe was put in a wheelchair by the time he was born because Eli pushed Gabe's mother down the stairs in the third trimester.

The Ghost Rider in AOS is sharing a separate demonic entity then Johnny Blaze. It's all connected to Robbie's Murder. by the way love the reaction, oh and The New director is The Patriot.

I think that Robbie keeps wearing the jacket because the Rider can show up at any time. Instead of being like Superman, where he knows when he's going to go to 'save the day' and can change his clothing, the Rider just erupts when he gets angry. Also, the difference between his car and the Ghost Rider car is fire. His car just looks like a fantastic Dom car (Fast & Furious), but it looks different when on fire and it is as you said, if you see Clark Kent you aren't necessarily thinking Superman.

I geeked out when the Darkhold was mentioned. It was a comic book that was part of the Midnight Sons series of comic. In the comic there was a team of individuals who were going around collecting missing pages of the book from people who had used them. there was also a small little guy who seemed to be the one giving out those pages to people. I can't really remember cuz that was years and years ago.

Jeffrey Mace known as the Patriot was a golden age superhero without powers and he became the third person to be Captain America. This was however a retcon when the Cap frozen in ice story was first introduced. The shows character seems more similiar to John Walker the US-Agent a different Cap stand-in, who was physically stronger than Cap himself.

I think this was a big step up from last week's episode, even if the Ghost Rider effect looks markedly worse.

That's a great explanation of the Hulk by Eric. Mephistopheles is generally the entity portrayed as the Devil in the Marvel Universe, it probably will be the same for the MCU.

as far as the number of kills that Ghost Rider has made: I'm assuming that the bones that the graffiti artist keeps stenciling onto the Mural represents each soul taken by the Rider. There is plenty of bones up on that wall.

Glad you guys could get around to my question. Yeah Jason O'Mara has become the go-to Batman voice actor for alot of the recent DC animated movies. He's pretty much the successor to the throne once Kevin Conroy retires from the role. Not sure whether the SHIELD colour-coding of red & yellow rather than levels was meant to be a Robin-nod last time but I had chuckle at that knowing about the new director.

He's another kind of a Captain America type character that's why they chose him to be the new director of shield because they couldn't get Steve Rodgers

if you read the comic for Bobby Reyes' ghost rider, his spirit isnt a spirit of vengence, like the others. it is a seperate entity, but they have an agreement. i wont say anything more to preserve the surprise

With Fitz and Radcliffe they're under strict governmental scrutiny due to changes in political leaders with Shield recently as well as the Sokovia accords and banding of A.I. All the cloak & dagger and lying is somewhat of a necessary evil due to their political environment. Whereas on Arrow it's more based on interpersonal relationships between the characters. On Arrow despite the occasional appearance of Amanda Waller there's very little governmental oversite given that Team Arrow are street level heroes.

I actually am expecting them to do something with Ward with all this ghost and supernatural stuff. Might be weak writing to bring him back despite killing him technically twice (if you count Hive), but goddamn it, I just really love his character.

the ghost rider in the comic is the angel of justice that was corrupted by the devil to become the spirit of vengeance to work for him...the original ghost rider named Johnny Blaze had to cleanse the rider to revert him back to angel of justice to take full control of the rider...this didn't happen in this story because when the rider is cleansed his flames turn blue. on another note robbie Reyes is a completely different ghost rider that has no relation to Johnny blaze

I hate this trope where a new character or a mysterious character (Ghost Rider) is brought into the main story or made to look like someone we can sympathize with by an annoying character (Quake/Daisy) who just tries to act all cool and judgy and mysterious themselves but come off as a knob. Simply a knob. Anyhow this episode picked up a lot better than the previous one. The tension was better handled and Ghost Rider got a plot to stay relevent into the main story. I like Fitz's realistic anger towards the emo teenager. May's breakdown looked kinda weird but meh. As for the Director, he just went from being a corporate wanker to badass wanker. I love the fact he's Inhuman and the fact that he knows he's the boss. Even though his smile comes off as assholey and egotistical but I loved it anyways. Very very good improvement on Ghost Rider and the plot overall from the first episode. 7/10

if you look at the conversation that Coulson and Jeffrey has after May gets knocked out, the news of him being inhuman is not public, Coulson says his inhuman-ness wasn't a part of the tours, and Jeffrey replies, not yet - so it's not public knowledge but Coulson knows because he did ask for a powered person to be put in charge

The Scientists (ghosts) may have been imprisoned in the cubes by Doctor Strange for using the evil spells in the Darkhold? Why did the skin heads want the cubes? Did they have any idea what was imprisoned in the cubes? The Darkhold (The Book of Sins) may be in Doctor Strange's possession right now in his mystic library ? Who knows? Will Victoria Montesi be appearing in the future to take position of the Darkhold? What do you think? How long will it take for Ghost Rider and Quake or Shield to find the Darkhold?

I think that they are keeping the Canon for Ghost Rider/Robbie Ryes meaning that Robbie is just a human but he draws upon the riders power to use hell fire and he becomes more powerful when he transforms. I don't think they'll make Ghost Rider an Inhuman. Also they may make the the whole ghost thing that they where locked away by an older Ghost Rider. Cause there has been more then one Rider.
