In general the comments in this video really shows how low the bar AGS has set. Something I see people miscomprehend in my videos is the concept of devaluing RMT gold. The part people miss when I talk about this combined with RMT is that if you lower the gap between RMT gold and real gold in a world where AGS actually enforces punishment, you decrease the reward at the same risk. There is a break point for people for it to not be worth it to take the risk if legit whaling isn't that much more expensive than RMT. And while yes, RMT will be forced to lower their prices, it will become less and less profitable for them and they have their own breakpoint on when its best to bot gold elsewhere if they have to increase their bot farm to make more money again. For botters especially its not as if they generate the gold out of nowhere. There is hardware, time and electricity and such. Though electricity isn't as demanding as say ol cyptro bro farms, its still an increasing cost that depending on where the botter is from, can be more impactful than the West. But this only works if you actively punish RMT at the same time as right now there isn't much perceived risk due to people not seeing that much action from AGS on these matters.
Maybe, instead they should wonder why do people resort into RMT progression so much. The ingame shop is honestly a scam and the game is gold starving players WAY too much. Clearly, the whole game is like a marketing sceme. To the point where being extremely strict with RMT will cause a very high percentage of players to quit altogether.

I said it before but I'll say it again. It's cool that AGS is doing something to these bad actors in The First, but how bout we start taking care of the rest of the bad actors? You go to ANY place where you find a bunch of players, and you see a ton of +25 weapons. I doubt all of them are legit whales, or legit no lifers. Hell, very few at all would be. I just feel like they're lazy or understaffed despite being a branch of a major company. Usually I'm hopeful about things, but because of how little seems to have been done to the bad actors for the past 2 years, I'm at the point where I'll only believe if when I start to see it outside of The First. I wish they would, but that seed of doubt of inaction is still there.
Another point i would like to add is AGS put a cap on how much you can spend in game during the early days like 1 month into release you are limited to $100 per day transactions they upgraded the limited to $500 then $1k not sure about now but thats why people/players/whales bought 3rd party gold instead.
Here is the truth. Pretty much all players that cleared the first have made use of RMT at some point. The few that didn't are the exception not the rule. The same goes for players with esther weapons. There is almost no way to achieve it on your own without doing shenanigans. The only 2 legitimate ways to achieve those things is by selling buses (and all players that sell buses eventually end up doing RMT) or by being a big influencer and do it with viewers material/gold donations. We didn't have the time the KR had to build up our accounts and AGS didn't adjust the progressions to account for that. Most players barely have a 1620 character much less a 1630+ with all the alternative progression systems leveled. This race was just stupid since only the very rich and exploiters could participate.
Yeah, our version greatly incentivized swiping since we lost effectively a year of grinding. With our pricing, its not surprising a lot of people were tempted to swipe and went for the RMT.
Tbh at this point I just don't believe ags is competent enough to ever get their integrity back. This whole "I was banned but contacted ags india" is too believable, as someone that's worked in support and saw how India part of the support work. So until these things are air tight (which in ags case will never be) there's no credibility that I can give them. Maybe if they started bans like china does a whole notepad full of names and not a 7 day ban ones at it, then maybe that would change things, but until then...

been saying this. They made it so we have less time to get to ilvl. They created the problem people came up with a solution (rmt). Fix the game first them enforce rmt. I cannot blame people for rmting to reach new content when their shop value is dog. Basically you get 3-4x the gold for the same amount of money. Make the ingame shop worth it then maybe people would stop RMTing. Make reaching endgame actually easier to achieve and then punish rmt hard after. As it is right now I really can't blame people for making the better choice.
I recently did charge like 200 bucks into the ingame shop for raw gold / honing packages because I sadly have to raise my igniter sorc without events, cause they decided to bring the rework to the western servers AFTER handing out the descent to darkness events and powerpasses. So I decided to fuck it and just boost it with some money. I went ahead and checked what 200 bucks worth of money wouldve gotten me on g2g and it was something like -> royal crystals gave me around 360k gold cause the gold conversion was pretty good that day, but g2g woulda gotten me like 700k. So yea, I get why people fall for it, Im just a major pussy when it comes to rmting cause I would simply hate to fucking redo all my chars over and over lol. I think theres just little to no incentive to spend on ingame shop. They should add the mileage shop just like in KR, where it actually gives you access to more vanity and exclusivity by spending money on the game - its also a good metric to bust rmters cause gold going up by millions while mileage not moving is just way too obvious.
Using them is a gray area in the community as AGS has never said its bannable, putting it in a "Don't ask don't tell" situation. However in the rules for the first we have. "All Event participants must not engage in any actions that violate Amazon Games operating policy, such as using illegal programs, exploiting bugs, RMT, Piloting, using apps that modify the game and/or interacts with it in a way that provides information that is otherwise not available to players, or engaging in any other actions that Amazon Games deems inappropriate." According to their actions, idk. There was a group that had people upload their clear log to the database. So it's kind of a wait and see situation if they do anything about that group.
If you lower the price of the in-game shop for materials and don't lower the honing cost, ftp gamers will be absolutely boned and the playerbase will die. The entire reason this p2w model works in the first place is that it costs so much to get ahead by paying that the general population isn't bothered by those who actually spend.

AGS has practically nothing to do with what happened with Theamine the first. The west got the same standard that other regions did for it that smilegate set and likely forced AGS to enforce. From what ive heard, pretty much every team that initially raced in KR also got DQed cause of bans for the same reasons despite being fine before that. It was smilegate's doing, thats all there is to it and people not expecting it to be done in the west was nothing short of hubris. AGS isnt doing anything about anything because they are ok with pretty much everything so long as it isn't blatantly public. Thats just the reality of Lost ark and something you have to accept if you decide to spend your time on the game. This wasnt some miracle that shows AGS cares. It was a one off occurrence that likely will not be repeated.
