I dont think. They put you on high level but the gatekeep there is INSANE. Im 1590 with 150 roster lv, los 18 and im being gk on hard brel 1-3. If you are 1580 and need akan to get the gear you can forget. No chance at all, unless you pay a 20k bus that 2 weeks ago was 7k. The players ate screwing all the attempets to even the game . Im sick of that and im actyally quiting this shit

I think i have an idea on the gate keeping matter, if you play gunlancer, the elemental lolli, or a support everyone wants you, yes u can still get gk, but if u are just another dps u have too much competition, ppl stack sinergy, GL back/front attak,dispels, lollis element crit atk speed, supports in general, play the market get whats high on demand.

Anyway, now a comment more related to the video... Edit: oh, guess the LFG discords was part of the video. I advocate them. They changed how I viewed the game. These events are just amazing, and I really wish I could drag some friends back just so they can get in on this. But alas, they got real life to deal with. Unless you were Hardcore Horizontal Hero, the horizontal express could give a nice boost of progress towards the next runes that aren't given. I've been pretty chill about progressing alts and stuff, but with these events, and the new update with the extra drops from raids, I've been doing a lot more lately. It feels good to get progress and see it. Granted, my main hit that 1600+ wall just before the events, but now I'll soon have two characters stuck at that 1600+ hell grind. But also a fun place in terms of raids and Sonavel is a nice punching bag for the meantime. But yeah, there's really nothing wrong with taking it slow (except cards exist...) because you end up seeing more and more catch up systems added and more QoL as time goes by. Revyll's journey was indeed very refreshing, and we need more people who are like that. Dude has a good mindset if you ask me, and seeing the community embracing him reminds me that the haters are just loud and it's not all doom and gloom (aside from card awakenings) in the community.

Big problem of the game isnt the grind , etc. It is the deviding of the community + powercreep. This game isnt meant to randomly play together. Yeah, coming from GW2 it is dumb to think, that any other MMO works like that....but the diparity between people is keeping me from having fun. If my friend plays less, it isnt worth even talking to him anymore to word it harshly. When I and friends started the grind towards 1400 (1370 parking or something), we played through the horizontal story and did grind a little bit. And then the first separation happens towards that goal. A friend had less time and additionally I was lucky with my honing, etc. So within just 2 bad weeks for him, I was gone forever out of his scope and we barely had content to do together, where both benefitted. The normalizing content wasnt there and I suggest doing TONS more of that in order to get the community to casually play together for fun. You can only have fun in sweating most of your time and can only allow yourself to non sweat, if you can put same amounts of playtime into the game as the content creators. Only then you can goof around, as you reached your goals much faster. I just looked into the game...with my 1380 demonic as main (dumb) + 4 more characters parked at 1340....and I am not sure what to do...if I want to spend a little time to make use of the mokoko event to boost someone up to 1480 (?), etc. etc. On top having the server merge, I was sitting in the starting screen and finally switched it off without doing anything....thinking about the bots and the annoying systems + noone that I know plays it anymore...its a lost cause I guess. So sad because besides their skin game (which is horrible) I like the world quite a bit.

As uncomfortable as it may be, people who complain about gatekeeping need to simply join one of the LFG discords, preferably the one for their region. I didn't want to do it for the longest time, but doing so made things less painful. Learning parties going on fairly often, and re-clear parties as well. I would suggest prioritizing learning over re-clear, as you may find a group who's chill and then you can go "semi-learning" into static re-clear group with them. It's better than just whining about the gatekeeping and not even trying to get around it. It's not that bad if you try. As I said: I didn't want to try with the discords either, but it ain't that bad. It beats whining about it when instead you can complain about the REAL problems, like bots and cards being an RNG-BS-fest. And god damnit I want my LOS30 and KLC 18(at least) already. But I guess it really just depends on your life situation too. If you simply don't have the time (or the money) to spend on this game, then you probably have bigger things to take care of. Raids mostly suck for pugging--no doubt, but you can at least get SOME assurance from the LFG discords as problem players do get kicked out if they don't behave.

The gate keeping isn’t going to allow you to do any end game unless you want to pay for it. I’ll come back when the game is solo-able as it’s just too painful to spend hours waiting for a raid. I mean people gatekeep Valtan and Vykas wtf

I'm sooo glad i login. I played 4 weeks when NA launched, got to 1350.... quit... Saved 2 years of my life, now im 1460 with Horizontal content DONE!... i'll quit again. Hopefully they Give away 1600 Next year... CANT WAIT!.... Thanks smilegate.
