Once a rebel, always a rebel. Watch the brand-new trailer and experience the two-episode series premiere of Ahsoka, a Star Wars Original series, streaming August 23 on Disney+.
I just need them to do Thrawn justice. He’s by far the best antagonist the franchise has ever had. Dangerous, intelligent, hyper-competent, capable of both being benevolent or ruthless. He’s an antagonist that believes ends justify means but he’s not a cartoonishly evil, self destructive muppet like the emperor is. Here’s hoping they don’t waste him.
@jeffscheer9525 in the Canon book series he actually works with Anakin and later Vader and even Vader admits that Thrawn is insanely competent and is fighting for more than just the Empire.
I hope Ahsoka is just training Sabine to be better with the lightsaber. Please don't let her suddenly be force sensitive. Her character doesn't need it. She can learn to be in tune with the force without having access to it. Be a great arc for her actually. Trailer looks great and im definitely excited for this show.
@@Bbokkari-skz yeah, I noticed that line, but I also know trailers are often misleading on purpose. I don't think they will give her the force, but you never know what will happen.
Zeb showed up in mandolorian. highly detailed. for all of 5 seconds. That was a teaser. Theyre not gonna put effort into something like that if they didnt have plans on using him alot more
Man Rosario sounds even better as an older Ahsoka. You can tell she has honed the voice in how she speaks. Sabine also sounds really good and Ezra too. They NAILED the casting
@@jswajsberg Yeah Ashley is very distinct though I think Dawson will deliver a great performance as long as she sticks with what the character represents
Ezra is that inquistor, remember a random RU-vidr said it. Lol. I was 70 percent sure from the first trailer not I’m fully sure, now knowing that ahsoka fights him twice in this trailer
That inquisitor is not Ezra because the rumours from Making Star Wars says that he still is on the light side and is going to fight against stormtroopers by using his new abilities.
@@HotteststewpotI think you’re right, but I think they stole the Revan story, he had to go dark for some reason, and Sabine needs to pull him back to the light, a la Luke
I loved Rebels sooooo much and this trailer literally brought tears to my eyes, I really never thought I’d see the Ghost Crew again. Sabine and Hera look absolutely fantastic. Also so excited to see Thrawn again, he also looks great.
Pretty sad life you got that trailer for brain rot franchise made you cry. Must got bullied in school and use Rebels as way to escape being bullied. Get life instead crying over brain rot copy paste shows from Disney
@@cagedpegasus as a lifelong Star Wars fan… shit has literally always been hit or miss, Disney isn’t doing anything different besides putting out more content which naturally results in more misses. Besides, Rebels was already Disney Star Wars made by Filloni, I have no reason to assume he’ll fail to deliver on this series which is a spiritual sequel to Rebels.
"We're no Jedi" They're establishing parallels with Ahsoka, who's also shared a similar feeling. This series could have a very interesting and satisfying storytelling. Let's hope it goes that way, can't wait!!!!
Honestly, I agree that Elon Musk comparison. Filoni should have gone the Dark Maul route. Get a physical actor who accurately resembles Thrawn while Lars dubs the voice, like Peter Serafinowicz, Sam Witwer and Ray Park.
Anyone else catch the call back to Ashoka's fight with Vader? Baylan says "We are no jedi." It mirrors Vader saying "Revenge is not the jedi way." and Ahsoka responding, "I am no jedi." Nice call back from Filoni to maybe the best scene in Rebels. And RIP Ray Stevenson
I was skeptical when I saw the previous trailer but this looks really promising. The end to Clone Wars is the best Star Wars I've seen without George being at the helm, by a large margin, and this is giving me new hope.
Absolutely. I've enjoyed each show for its own merits. Some are more rewatchable than others but none have been bad, despite what some vocal whiners that always exist say.
@@michealrosen The first two episodes of S1 were good because they nailed the world building and narrative triggers. Other than that, the writing of that show is bad, at times really bad, but it felt like a fresh departure from the sequel trauma so many believe "it was good". Still, no, it wasn't. The most remarkable characters from the show are... the old characters, Mando is one of the thinnest protagonists ever, has basically no personality, agency, deep values, development... the plot forgets cause and effect too often. It's enjoyable - I get that - but that's different than "good".
I remember watching Rebels when it first came out, never thought I'd see a conclusion in live-action. Same with so many other characters from the CW. This is the way 💜
Jesus you do not understand how long i have been waiting to see Thrawn in Canon, Thrawn is going to kick some ass!!!!!! (P.S yes I know Thrawn is canon when he first appeared in rebels, I’m just saying I’m glad to see him getting more in the canon storyline. He is just famously known in legends and in the comics which I’m a big fan of.)
I love how sabines mural art still looks like the stlye of the rebels show. And im so glad they gave her her shorter hair back it just fits her the best.
Fold arms. Unfold arms. Stand around talking. Fold arms. Pace up and down. Keep arms folded. Roll eyes. Pace around some more. Long silence. Arms still folded. On loop.
@georgem5512 it makes for a crazy plot twist for ezra to be revealed to have replaced the last inquisitor's position after being away for god knows how long. He'll more than likely be taunting ahsoka with a voice distortion device vader style after the crew looks for him all season
No way Sabine just called Ahsoka her Master. Guys. This is going to be amazing. Edit: Y'all please chill in the comments, Sabine doesn't have to be a Force-sensitive to be Ahsoka's apprentice. Ahsoka herself isn't even a Jedi anymore, by her own admission. There's nothing orthodox about Ahsoka and Sabine's Master-Apprentice status, and that's fine. They're living in a time where "normal" isn't exactly an applicable word in any circumstance...
@@TonyStark-uu9us knowing that they have another Rey movie, also a pre ray movie, also what they did to madalorian season 3 and Obi wan, I have little to no hope for this, get ready for sequel Rey hints and plot lines and some force is female bs, until Kathleen kendy is removed starwars is going to be bad.
Only reason Sabine would call Ashoka "master" was if Ashoka was training her in the force, not liking that direction, she didnt need to be randomly force sensitive.
they already ruined the series with this crap. Going to wage a guess and say they wrote off Ezra and supplanted Sabine in his position so now they have to retcon Sabine's character arc to make it fit so they can have a female powered team instead. Similar path to Mando being overshadowed by a Bo-Katan lead.
Must be so horrible to not be the majority of the cast. Now you know how women felt during the OT when they only had Leia to root for. At least the men that are featured aren't reduced to half naked sex slaves for an alien slug.
