"Revenge is not the Jedi way" Classic Anakin still bringing heat on the Jedi with his sarcasm.

“I’m no Jedi.” The title of her episode for the mandolarian: The Jedi.

"Then you will die" in Anakin's voice.. That's too much...

"We need not be adversaries" By Vader's standards this is practically "I love you"

"Then you will die braver than most" I feel like, coming from Vader this is some sort of twisted compliment that's also a threat.

Imagine if Ahsoka were to meet Luke and he explains to her how his father turned back to the light at the end. It makes my heart ache just thinking about it.

I'll chose Ahsoka over Rey as the main character any day.

"I won't leave you. Not this time." Vader hesitates, remembering back to his past life as Anakin. His bond with Ahsoka, strained, but not yet broken. Perhaps her words move him, something deep inside and nearly forgotten... but it is not enough. Vader has sacrificed too much to the dark side. Vader has lost too much to go back. He hardens his resolve and calls upon the dark side. His hate, anger, and sadness. He has come too far to turn back, even for his former apprentice. If he is to die in battle, then better it be at the hands of someone he once loved. "Then you will die."

“Shut up Ezra, the adults are speaking” - literally everybody

If only Anakin and Ashoka's moms were both named Martha then there would be no fight...

When a cartoon can give more emotion and depth in 5 miutes than the new trilogy could do in 9 hours.

“Revenge is not the Jedi way.” Even as a sith, Anakin still teaches Ahsoka.

Vader didn’t call out to Asohka, Anakin did. He cared about her so much that their bond had literally become a part of who he was. You can see Anakin start to come back the second vader sees her. And when Ezra said “lets go!” that was the straw that broke the dark side camel’s back. All of Anakins (for lack of a better word) love for Asohka resurfaced. He calls her name because he misses her, and he doesn’t want her to go. The second time he says her name, he is using the same tone of voice he used with her whenever they were having a tender moment. Its like he’s trying to get all of his feelings across in one word because he knows he doesn’t have much time before vader takes over again. And when Asohka says “I wont leave you” it reminds him of all of his suffering, and vader does just that. This is just my interpretation, but it’s an educated one.

There’s something just beautiful about hearing Matt Lanter’s voice with the tone of James Earl Jones underneath. They’re Anakin’s two most well known voice actors, and it’s a dream to hear their voices merge (in a sense).

"We need not be adversaries." Ahsoka was probably the only individual, ever, aside from Luke who could make Anakin stir within Vader.

“Anakin Skywalker was weak. I destroyed him.” This was so hard to hear.

Vader saying "Revenge is not the jedi way." shows that he is used to guiding Ahsoka 😢

The saddest part of all this is you can still hear Anakin under Vader’s mechanical voice. He never really died.

Would’ve been so cool if Vader’s eyes flashed blue for a split second while looking at ahsoka

‘Then you will die.’ I cannot describe the insane goosebumps I got the first time I heard that line. There was a part of me that was convinced she’d reach Anakin and he’d help them escape, especially after that look of recognition in his eye. That would’ve felt cliched and cheap but considering the fact that this is a cartoon I fully expected it. Then he said that line, his lightsaber ignited, and his pupil shrunk with hatred, and I suddenly found Darth Vader genuinely terrifying for the first time in my life.

Anyone else notice that Anakin becomes much more poetic and structured with his speech. Everything he says is so Shakespearean that you almost forget he was the witty sky guy from the clone Wars.

I feel that when ashoka said “I won’t leave you, not this time”, made Vader angry. Or anakin. If he ever did come out for a moment

I love how the gap in skill is shown. Vader almost insulted by Ezra trying to fight him. Vader keeping Ahsoka so far on the defensive she can't even use her two sabers to get a leg up. Normally she would have had the initiative and her opponent would be trying to defend from agressive strikes from two weapons while only having one. But no, Vader straight up overpowers her advantage with sheer skill and experience

It was his face. His voice. But the fire in his eyes still remain. This was the closest he came to turning before ROTJ

Years from now, this will be remembered as the scene that ‘saved’ Star Wars. Trust your feelings, you know it to be true.

I want to see Ahsoka's reaction when Luke tells her that he's Anakin's son and how he redeemed Vader. I also want to see Luke's reaction to Ahsoka telling him about all the adventures she had with his father

3:37 this scene gives me chills. The music, the angle, the “I won’t leave you, not this time” and Anakin’s eye starting to squint as he thinks about going back to the light. Fucking Beautiful. If this was a movie in theaters, audiences would’ve been in shock

Live Action Ahsoka Tano TV Show... Never thought I'd see this come to pass. Ahsoka Tano - The Journey: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OLzOr9fpt78.html Just wow. I am slightly confliced on this because I also wanted to get an animated show with Ashley that is a Rebels sequel and I am guessing this is what we're getting instead. I am mainly interested in the story and with it being live action, it will probably have a higher budget so that is a good thing. Plus, Rosario did an amazing job as Ahsoka and I am sure she'll nail it again. Still, I really want more of Ashley's Ahsoka as well. Hopefully she'll appear in the Bad Batch though if she does, I am guessing she will have a rather small role in it. Will the Ahsoka show begin after we last saw her in the Mandalorian? That seems most likely to me but I am guessing we might see some flashbacks and get more backstory on what happened to Ahsoka in-between Rebels and The Mandalorian. The World between Worlds logo implies to me that we might learn more about her time on Malachor after Twilight of the Apprentice, which I think up to this day remains one of the greatest mysteries sourounding this character. Clearly Thrawn will play an important role in that show given the exposition we were given in the Mandalorian and I am guessing so will Ezra. Given how they announced this one big story event that will resolve the storylines of all these shows, Thrawn might end up being the main antagonist, perhaps Moff Gideon is indeed working with him in some manner.

Looking back at the Clone Wars, makes this moment so much more emotional. Ahsoka Tano worshiped Anakin and he love that girl like she was his sister or daughter. He was never the most strict Jedi, but he was willing do anything and everything for her because she was more than just a padawan. Now here, he is set on killing her. Her leaving the order had nothing to do with him, but she left him all the same and it hurt him. I love Star Wars. People that have never watched it will never understand how much of a tragedy it is.

God his character design in clone wars season 7 is so good and really reinforces how he seemed remorseful, as his design in season seven was less cruel and sharp.

Whoa. Hearing Anakin's normal voice when his mask broke...NOW THAT, was powerful.

The problem with the entire show: whenever something cool happens, Ezra is there to ruin the moment.

everyone’s talking about vaders line and i get it but like ashoka immediately responding with “them i will avenge his death” was perfection

You could just see in his eyes, how he misses the old days, and the fact that he feels sad, because she was willing to stay, and not leave him, unlike Obi Wan Kenobi.

Can we just take a moment to notice that Dave filoni just pulled off a brilliant episode, with more emotion and better storytelling than the last two movie trilogies combined... With a salvaged version of a hated character whos sole purpose was to be shoed in to be relatable to kids, and a guy who doesn't like sand.

The whole scene was almost ruined by Ezra interrupting

After watching Season 7, this...this just hits harder now.

"I won't leave you, not this time" This is truly Heartbreaking knowing that Anakin is pretty much alone now, his wife, his children, even Palpatine, the person who manipulated him to becoming a Sith wanted him replaced.

The look in his eyes after she told him she wouldn't leave him was perfect. A glimpse into the good that was still in him, even if it showed for mere seconds before the Hate took control again.

I watched all of Clone Wars for the first time and then went straight into Rebels blind without any knowledge this was going to happen. I was crying hysterically. This scene is so so good.

3:36 He was so close. You could see the pain in his eyes. His own apprentice, someone he cared for so much, someone who was by his side all throughout the Clone Wars, and the last he saw of her was Mandalore. I believe he’s been trying to keep his composure since figuring out she was alive. He truly wants to turn. But he knows it’s too late. The evil he’s done, the wrong he’s committed, the damage has already been done. So the dark side takes back control, you see his eyebrows go back down, and then finishes with that all too chilling line: “Then you will die”

Vader: “The emperor will show you mercy.” Palpatine to Maul: “There is no mercy!”

So much storytelling in just one eye in just a brief moment. Even without seeing the rest of his face, you see so many different emotions expressed in less than ten seconds.

I like how it's always "Vader destroyed Anakin" never "Vader killed Anakin"

In a way, I feel like they're both begging each other not to fight. Vader especially. "We need not be adversaries." Vader has a deep seated HATRED of all Jedi. This is the most mercy that has ever come from his mouth. He's trying his hardest to stay the Dark Lord while simultaneously trying to save the woman that was like a daughter to him. This is before he knows of his Son's survival. This Vader doesn't want her to die, but he's so far gone that he's unable to find the compassion.

Based on canon comics and a lot of other things we can basically say Anakin did come out very briefly. He called out to her and acknowledged that she was there and stopped which is something Vader wouldn't have done. The reason he's so intent on killing her however isn't because of what happened in the past but because Vader tries to kill off anything that's related to Anakin Skywalker so that light side of him stays dead until Luke comes along.

Man an Ahsoka and Luke meeting is a guaranteed tear jerker. So much potential in Ahsoka telling stories of his father when he was a warrior for the republic and telling him the tales of all the good he did before his fall. And Luke telling her of his return to the light and how just like her… he never gave up hope that one day, he’d stand in the light one last time as he gives his life to save the jedi even though it cost him his life. It would take a great writer to make it work if it ever happens but it would be a scene for the ages for sure.

I still can't believe that this was their first meeting again after their reunion in episode 9 of clone wars

Ezra is like your little cousin that comes over during the holidays and he tries to act all funny and cool but he's just very cringey and annoying.

I've rewatched the "Then you will die" scene so many times, and I swear it still sends chills down my spine. It's so good.

I like to interpret that when Vader says “Ahsoka” and you hear his unaltered voice Anakin briefly surfaces up. But when Ahsoka says she won’t leave him again instead of the intended effect of comforting him, all those feelings of loss and being abandoned by her and everyone else that lead him to fall to darkness returns and pushes Anakin back down and sets Vader off. Ahsoka is a reminder of the man he once was and tried to bury away out of pain, anger and resentment. By killing her he’d be free of that link

Notice that when Ahsoka damaged Vader's mask, the vocalizer was damaged as well. so for the first time we hear Anakin's own voice in his suit, and when he said "Then you will die." It was with HIS OWN VOICE, not his helmet's vocalizer. There's no turning back, Anakin truly was gone. That broke Ahsoka heart, as well as our own. Also note that the one who said the line was Matt Lanter, Anakin's voice actor.
