Hey Ralph - Great subject but I prefer your tunes 😄 What annoys me at the moment are the number of plugins which supposedly use AI when they are just a set of algorithms
Hello Chris, when you get you Blue Marvin please make sure that you watch these to videos. This will get you up to speed and help you to avoid the pitfalls. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CfezQunKlAE.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vQx88p4dutc.html Cheers, Ralph
Hi Ardiris, well said! At the moment AI material still requires a lot of "curation". Somehow I am relieved that it still is that way....Greetings, Ralph
@@RalphBaumgartl If you search "Koan Eno", you should find some outtakes on RU-vid. The album itself was actually a floppy disk with the software files for the songs and the user needed Koan installed. The songs never played the same way twice. (:
I use Eva Beat midi vst. If I get stuck, that's my key. These days, I like this sequencer called Torso T1 . I do don't have it yet. I will get it eventually. For now Renoise is my step sequencer.
I have two groove boxes myself, but the AI engine of Magenta can come up with creations on its own which would require human input on a groove box. But you are right, eventually AI generated material still requires human input to "curate" it. Greetings, Ralph
Yes, that's possible. Check out the other Apps included in Magenta Studio. For instance "Drumify" and "Groove". Then you have to patch the B2600 accordingly. Greetings, Ralph
Thanks Ralph. Very interesting. I'd hate to rely on AI to compose for me all the time (or maybe it should (🤣🤣🤣.) Good I think for inspiration. Be interesting to hear some of the Drum patterns it might generate. I'll down load this for Windows and give it a try. Hope toy see your next tutorial soon😀😀😀
Hi Colin, when you play with the drum patterns go for a percussive patch (perhaps with almost self oscillating VCF) on the Barp2600, or a very deep percussive bass sounds. Cheers, Ralph
Humans don´t know fully what AI means in reallity, AI can be helpful but the Pro´s is overshadowed by the Con´s, AI is dangerous,..In my humble opinion 😃💚 Love cheers
I personally think that at the moment AI is still quite safe. But once AI is able to develop its own consciousness, then humanity is up to a real challenge....
@@analogueavenue As a Non Native English speaker I have to keep on working on my English grammar skills until the end of days. But I can assure you that my German native tongue grammar skills are flawless ;-)
@@RalphBaumgartl It depends what "quite safe" means, For those who has worked in a exopolitic environment,.. AI is not safe by any means, I could go on and tell you how the internet here on earth stod in for a disaster a while ago, in late 2020 early 2021, If a few had not had the knowledge to counter the AI that some Corp. let out on a website to see it´s learning curve and was loose on the internet and it hacked it´s own password, we had not been sitting here now talking, As i say you don´t know what you don´t know, Love cheers to you dear Ralph💚
@@RalphBaumgartl well I'd hope so too but I've seen similar in other fields where technology has taken over - photography for example where free is better than paying for many people - regardless of the drop in quality. Rates for library music are already much lower than just a few years ago - and the development of AI can only help that race to the bottom.
@@awpMusic1 True words! When I look at the AI generated pictures all over the internet, then I am just wondering what will happen to many 3D designers....
@@awpMusic1 Wrong. That has precisely ZERO to do with AI. The "zero cost" photography world has come around because of a) mobile phones and b) companies like Google violating author copyright and giving away the creations of the original owners. Not AI. It's been happening for two decades.
@@2112jonr where did I say AI caused the problem in photography? I said "I've seen similar in other fields where __technology__ has taken over". Parallel problems!!
