AI or HUMAN? | Why I Play Arma 3 Invade & Annex 

pvp players bash coop players mostly because of, when coop players show up on pvp servers, they often perform poorly. pain in the ass if you have a bunch of coop players in your team. they often have to learn the game and all the tactics new from the scratch, if they are willing to do that. if you are used to play against dumb ai, you learn bad habits, which hinder you and your team, when playing pvp. PvP Players complain because they wanna win, and every member had to contribute to succeed on that goal. We had coop squads diying in mine fields all together while to close together. we had whole coop squads killed by artilery or mortar with single hits while they were holding hands, we had coop players telling the enemy where we are sneaking through , because they found it a good idea to conduct suppressive fire on 1km distance on an enemy which was not aware of us yet, we had coop players moaning about rpg42 HE vs Inf ("against swiss convention" :D), you have to tell them always the same things (spacing, use your ears, flank, spacing, spacing, spacing, use different routes, not always the same route, mark enemy positions, spacing, how to talk short and precise, spacing, turn off all blur effects, spacing, play faster, dont chatter your action plan in base for 5 minutes, spacing... etc) Most coop players that showed off in our community are gone, just a few stayed. it is too hardcore for most of them. they are used to an easy game, easy win. but playing against humans challenges you in every gameplay aspect. humans punish your mistakes. But i respect the ones which take the challenge and are willing to improve. and i will take time to train them and show them all the tricks i learned in thousands of hours of pvp. I played 4-5 coop too in my arma career. But its not for me. I dont even finished any of the single player campaigns. PvP is the highest challenge, but highest reward if you master it. You have to go through a world of pain, to end in the ranks of the real arma elite :D :P Are you willing to take the challenge?

@@certaindeath7776 Thats all not behaviour they have because they play coop, everything you described they do wrong gets you killed when you play against AI aswell, atleast when you play on the settings we play at. Whoever was playing with you was just bad at playing arma in general.

@@certaindeath7776 Now, I just recently started playing Arma 3 at all, and even more recently tried out koth. I also have hardly played any shooters before hand. You might find players like me, taking the same routes, giving away their position, failing to properly take cover, missing lots of shots, crashing helicopters, having a k/d of 0.15, and generally playing badly, and think "it's those coop people again". Well, actually, we're just noobs. We suck, no matter if we're fighting AI or players. The AI can, at low skill settings, have a harder time spotting us, but when they get close and see us, we are equally as fucked as if they were a human player. Hate on noobs all you want, but don't blame coop.

You speak for me as well! Everything said in this video is exactly why i abandoned consoles and slowly scraped together over $1500 for my build, specifically for arma. Ive waited over a decade to experience the type of gameplay described in this vid. Couldn't have said it better. "...and people moving forward, doing their job and role, is something that has deteriorated more and more in public arenas and mainstream titles." There are gamers and then there are tacticians.

Lol, been on the receiving end of that a few times myself... All you can do is laugh after... It does keep you on your damn toes!

Playing ArmA 2 was such a bother in armory/scenario mode against the bots- aside from frantically trying to convince my AI comrades that we shouldn't all charge at a tank shooting at it uselessly there were plenty of times where a man 700 meters away could accurately fire at you within 5 seconds, while you were still trying to zero in your weapon. At least they made the AI much much better in ArmA 3, it's a big improvement.

OMGvert unreal? I shot 3 titan missles on a t100 Varsuk and it didnt go, afterwards i try to nade it w my launcher but it just got stuck in a ditch... my whole squad when stealth on it while i just stood there cursing why looking in it barrel straight. Yeah talk about unreal

Arma 3 doesnt exactly have the best tutorial, though Apex did implement a tutorial/training/how the game works. Best thing to do is join a server, eg Invade and Annex, join the teamspeak for that server and then talk to the guys there playing. Normally its just the pilots in teamspeak (which is what i always play as) but 99% will be more than happy to explain the things you dont understand :)

the first time i played, someone laid landmines all around the HQ, so when enemy troops came to attack we had random explosions from various directions as they hit the tripwires and were vaporized

it's definitely possible to be in there for just 10 - 30 min and simply deploy/support troops. Drive a truck with fuel/ammo, take a cargo plane and paradrop an APC to the field, fly a chopper for low-level CAS.

Depends on the game mode you play. Wasteland makes you either find/loot weapons, or buy them. Other game modes have you choose a role in the game and give you specific gear to fill that role, and sometimes you can just customise it freely.

If you have a strong GPU, I´d crank it up. ARMA is always a processor hog, so the lower your settings, the more burdened the CPU becomes. Try to balance it out to lessen the impact on the CPU, since its mainly the cause of lower frames.

i have never joined a I&A server that gave me more then 30 fps; same settings give me 60-80 fps in SP though :-/ any recommondations on good servers?

MissVerstand3n Problem with I&A is that it is a long running mission with a ton of scripts, which hurts performance real bad, specially after having ran for quite a while. The best servers for it are probably those hosted by Ahoyworld, since they are the guys making the mod and probably have optimized it the most.
