*Update* Recalibration fixed the jitter on mine and now it has perfect resting values, however still getting about 15-17% on gamepad tester circularity. That being said, again all that test is really looking at Is the roundness of your anti-friction rings really. A lot of videos on RU-vid about the value of this kind of test. As long as your controller is working as it should in game and has good resting values, you should be all set

I had to send my controller back for repairs twice. First time the the left mouse trigger stopped working. Then when they finally returned my controller the left Hall effect stick randomly cut off while playing for a little… so frustrated I haven’t been able to use the controller
That would be extremely frustrating and if that was happening to me I would be extremely upset as well. That's why I'm making an update video in a couple months so I can report on that kind of stuff. I really hope they make it right for you
I got mine after 8 weeks, 3 weeks before. The controller is awesome. The HE is unbelieveable good. My old Controller had stickdrift. So, the first game felt like aimbotting.... 😅
Also, the circilarity test isn't just testing how well your controller makes circles, its testing how consistent the 0-100 input will feel in game. If one side is more inaccurate than the other it will reach max input speed in game faster on the less accurate side

@@chronicmayhem I had my controller sent back too me and one side was more "rectangular" than the other, which made for some VERY inconsistent movements in game, one side reaching max input far faster than the other side. Hopefully this is something the can work on for the future!😊 Appreciate the reply btw dude, legend

I got mine today as well. I love it, however there’s a tiny thing that annoys me. Hard to explain but pressing on the R3 joystick makes ”two clicks”. So when you press on it, the first click makes you think it has been pressed, but in fact it can travel even further in and make the real button click. How is your R3, is it just mine that is like this?
@@chronicmayhem It basically feels like there are two stages of clicking on the right joystick. The first stage happens when you initially press down, giving the impression that the button has been activated. However, the joystick can be pressed further down to a second stage, where it makes a more definitive click, which is when the button is actually engaged.
I’m a diehard aim controller user. I own 4 of them myself (no not because they keep breaking but because I love them!!) this being said this is not a dis to them just a experience I had. I pre ordered a Hall effect roller so I was one of the very first to get one and idk if it was because they are new to HE or what but about a month later my HE rollers right thumbs stick broke and when I would click it in (R3) it would move my stick direction up and down rapidly. They did/are fixing it for free along with another one of my controllers which had the right trigger (R2) smart trigger broke and came apart on the inside and the trigger had full travel distance which they are also fixing for free. Every manufacturer has issues and things break but I’ll still continue to buy from aim!! Even after my 2 rollers broke within a few weeks of each other I turned around and ordered another new one.
Yes! What aim basically does is they take a stock PS5 controller and then add all of the mods to become this. So at its core it's still a first party PS5 controller.
Are your action buttons noisy and loose? Your mic didn't seem to pick up any noises. Mine (that I just received and haven't used) are very loose and noisy and they won't do anything about it. They're telling me it's "normal" because of the snap panels. I got the standard buttons but they're telling me standard and mechanical have the same "normal" feature.
@@mahirc3543 I've seen other people mention that as well. Like Kevin from gamer heaven. I wish they just made the design twist like that anyway so you wouldn't have to break it to make it better

all these companies say they're more precise which is annoyingly misleading for Cod players if AA is less effective. How is it worse may I ask, is it due to the error % of the calibration? What would you recommend for a controller? Just had a stint with the envision but it's broken after a year (crim).
@@DelayEdits Its just stronger. You can feel the ‘pull’ much more noticeabley. Also hall effect 100% does get stick drift. Them not getting stick drift is the biggest lie going on in videogames.
@@chronicmayhem yeah me too, I don't think it has released yet though but it looks pretty good. It says that the lifetime warranty covers "joystick drift" but then says that "deterioration or failure from prolonged use, wear , or aging" of the controller isn't covered so it's slightly iffy about whether it is actually covered 🤔🤔
They feel pretty good in gameplay and like I said anything below 20% I wouldn't really worry about it too much. BUT i haven't recalibrated yet maybe that will improve it. On Gamer heavens review he got a similar value
The rubber grip is going to be a problem in future when it breakdown and becomes sticky. Best to just keep it just plain plastic texture if there are any.
@@kklum6998 The problem is with the aim controllers is If you don't get the rubber back, you don't have any texture on the back of the controller at all. They replaced the entire back of the controller and their non-rubber back is just slippery plastic. You could add on your own grips I suppose
How long did it take for you to receive the controller? They sent me a Mail on may 7th saying that my controller entered the creation process but still do not know anything about it. Last mail i received was on june 5th apologizing for the delay…but nothing else. Should I expect to know something about my product soon?? Thanks beforehand!
@@Eddiexc123 The accidental insurance I believe is an extra $45. That's really entirely up to you. If you're very careful with your stuff then probably not but I can see why it would be a nice to have. I personally have not used their warranty yet so I can't speak on how that process goes
My aim Controller is full of Problems first my Touch Pad ist Not working and the r2 Trigger is unstable . Now i habe the Problem that my l1 bumber doesnt make the mous klick Sound and doesnt reakt . I also cant Open game If im in the start Screen lol Bud m x Button ist totally fine If im in the can they Work (i use my other Controller to Open the Game) btw im feom Europe i and is Heart that many from Europe have Problems with theur aimcontrollers
All these PS5 pro controllers seem to have issues after issues, not a single one is free from complaints online. I think only one choice may be the best, but I won't be sure it's worth recommending until I've had a chance to try it out.
Yeah but these custom controllers there is a higher risk cuz it's not like you can just walk back to Best buy and return it if you don't like it. I haven't had any issues with mine but I have seen a lot of people complain about issues of theirs. So knock on wood. I am planning to make an update video of this In the next few months

This is a great in depth review so far thanks! Can you also just not order the back paddles for a cheaper price?
So I ordered my controller on March 25th, and I received it on May 20th. AIM says it should take about 30 business days and mine was right about that time span. A lot of people read the 30 business days and misunderstand it as 30 days.
This control is unfortunately rubbish when it comes to FPS games. R3/R4 are way to soft to push (feels like mouse clicks) and in gunfights you will mantle/meele when it suits the worst every time you get stressed in a gunfight. I spent 400$ on this and used it for 30 minutes and went back Edge! Yes, I know you can remap the buttons - but it shouldn't be necessary on such an expensive controller. EVERYTHING else is fine except R3/R4 which destroys the whole control and makes it unusable!
@@oskarslattland4568 I haven't experienced that with the r3/r4. I actually use this to play Halo all the time haha. That's really interesting though. Maybe I'll try to find like a force gauge and see if I can measure it
Sounds like you didn’t give the controller enough time. I have 3 Aim controllers and never had that issue over 2 years. I’m using an edge right now because I sent them back to get the Hall Effect upgrade. Peaked #5 Pred on Apex so definitely a skill issue.
@@AlecGalicia I'll give it a second try. I've ordered the V2 backpaddles that i think will suit me bether and some precision rings. I guess I have to be more gentle with my thumbs.
@@oskarslattland4568 If you’re talking about L3/R3 (pressing down on the stick) then I highly recommend switching those to something else that doesn’t interrupt. For me in Apex, I actually put sprint on R3 since I use auto sprint. During a tournament I accidentally melee’d during a panic and it got me killed. At the end of the day, I decided to switch it. Setting R3 to sprint made it so I could press it down as much as I wanted and it did nothing. I made L3 the toggle for zooming in and out on scopes. On my dual sense edge I made R3 crouch since it only had 2 paddles vs 4 on the aim controllers. This was also good because it didn’t cancel any important animations or interactions if I accidentally pressed it. I play with 9 out of 10 fingers on a button at all times with the 4 paddles (spider grip on my right hand and a hybrid spider/claw grip on my left hand). While you don’t need to copy my setup, I do highly recommend switching at least your R3 to something not important. No matter how good your thumb control might be, you could still press too hard. It’s not as likely to happen on your left stick so L3 isn’t as big of an issue. Setting it to crouch can give you crouch strafing or sliding while turning. Sprint can just make it a dead button.
@@AlecGalicia I think the solution for me has to be and not use L3/R3 at all and rather use "melee" and "mount" on my foot pedals which I don't use for anything else. I mostly play COD. Thank you very much for taking the time.
insane that i can get a gamesir controller with .04% inaccuracy on the circular test but the crazy pro controllers or custom ones have crazy high inaccuracies. an the price for a game sir is like 50$ just wish they made a ps5 controller
@@FutCrusader It is interesting for sure. The more I've thought about this test though, the less stock I've put into it however. You, of course don't want to see a huge value, but getting these insanely small values in the end, I don't think matters as much as it does depend on how much of a perfect circle the anti-slip rings are.
I recently recalibrated the sticks and the numbers on that test didn't change, but it zeros out at perfect values now. I'm still getting 15 to 17% on gamepad tester. It's not great. Lower value is better. But it's on the edge of acceptable
I tried the scuf envision pro at launch and had a ton of issues mostly dealing with software. Hopefully those have been fixed id be willing to try it again
It depends actually. The PS5 controller can be overclocked to a 1000 HZ, an Xbox controller is hardware locked at 250 HZ. However, some people find the asymmetrical thumbsticks on the Xbox controller more comfortable than the symmetrical sticks on a PS5 controller. With how long these controller formats have been out I've started to believe I really just comes down to what you grew up with.
