If casted on anyone else it would fear the target to the point of eternal horror and insanity (if it was the strong version, and it was it for sure). The only place when "immune means immune" is magic (like fireball) cuz low tier atacks just vanish mid air. Everything else works, works, but it have efects reduced to almost nothing. For example if fire resistant demiurge got thrown to lava it will be like hot bath for him. Feeling the heat, meby a little unpleasent (he accualy likes almost boiling hot so not in that case) but anything dangerous.

What it does is enchancing yor next insta-death spell and putting it on 12sec timer (the huge clock). It used to be super strong in-game, cuz it bypassed any insta-death immunity, so once a week you could oneshot whatevr you want (yea this cd is kinda long) BUT what it did after it's reality, not only a game...well it just killed EVERYTHING. Everything in 200m radious instantly died. Shalltear, all her sumons, animals, plants, EARTH, AIR. 200m down into ground everything is desert unable to ever grow anything. If anything would take a brearh of "dead air" it will instantly kill it. No matter how OP you are. This skill kills everything, and aftermath of it is deadly for everything alive (so only golems, and undead can stand there and not die, cuz they never neded air in the first place)

Black Armor: created like a spell, he's still a mage with an armor (equivalent to a lvl 30 warrior) Perfect Warrior: trade all his magic power to become a true warrior (way stronger)

You may have missed it but the Theocracy guys explained what happened from their perspective which is the last piece of the puzzle: 1) The powerful Theocracy group in the forest was chasing Clementine because she stole the Crown and fled. 2) They wanted to send a different force but they were missing. (Killed in ep4.) 3) Shalltear gave a command that night to her summoned Household to "Kill all the humans in the forest" to find the single adventurer who hung back. It was a very broad command in a very big forest. 4) Consequently the summons found the Theocracy group and were destroyed. 5) Shalltear attacked them directly and was mind controlled at the same moment she incapacitated the caster. Leaving Shalltear with no orders. The Theocracy group fled. It was a random encounter. Instigated by various ripples from things Ainz had a hand in. Both sides are "WTH just happened and why?"

It's here! I got a good laugh at Nasty thinking episode 12 was the finale, he was so pissed!. That eye-ball thing at the end of the fight? That was Aura using a distraction spell. If you watch again, Ainz hesitated at the last minute. Aura may have saved his life! To answer Nasty's question about Aura being mad, Aura and Shaltear are essentially siblings (Like their creators are), so they fight and nag eachother but actually care for eachother. She was disappointed/grieving that Shaltear 'let' herself be mindcontrolled and had to be killed. I'm glad that last scene filled in some holes. Nasty is right, that scene is exactly when they used the world item. It was some crazy dragon-magic, more than just a look but it was a quick scene! She was put under mind control but wasn't given any commands so she was basically on stand-by mode. I'm so glad you guys enjoyed this. It's my favorite Anime and I never get tired of seeing people get sucked into the world. Can't wait for season 2!

If you go back to the episode where Shalltear goes after Brain and his mercenaries. When she bumps into Britta (the red haired girl with the Red Potion from Ainz) she says the party had split up. Shalltear gets mad and summons her household to chase the remaining survivors down. But her household immediately dies after they leave. So she runs towards what killed them. The next part in the anime is where you have to pay attention, she sees a guy with a spear says he’s strong but in the way. Then a woman in a white dress with a dragon design on it, starts doing hand gestures, like she is casting a spell. Her dress is the world item. You see Shalltear as she is hit with the woman’s attack, she realized what was happening and summoned one of her spears and threw it at the old lady. It pierced her and mortality wounded her badly enough that she couldn’t give Shalltear orders before they fled.

Love how you guys get the nuances in scenes, like how Demiurge's demand that Albedo step down from her position is a huge insult.

Oh boy here we go with the loresplaining for this one. The eye was explained in another comment so I won't go to deep into it. But it was Aura. She allowed her surveillance magic to be detected by shaltear to distract her. This fight was much better in the book because it explains the logic behind each spell Ainz uses, why he uses it, and why it was the best spell for its job. Body of efugelent beryl drastically lowers blunt dmg received and can be spend as an active ability to completely nullify one instance of damage recieved. The all of the guild mates equipment that Ainz used is devine class equipment. Extremely rare and hard to obtain. Most high level players only have one piece of something like that at most, but this guild was a bunch of grind monsters so most of them had nearly all of their equipment devine class. On the other hand NPC mostly have one or two pieces of devine class gear (shaltear has weapon if I remember correctly) since it's so hard to obtain. Ainz didn't go in his regular armor since he feared of losing it. (I don't know if you have played Albion online but it's similar there). You don't go to the dangerous zone with the equipment that you can't replace since it's to big of a risk in case of losing it. So even though against only shaltear he would have won quite easily if he were to get his regular gear he didn't want to risk losing it (and he would absolutely slap her if he were to go with the guild staff. In non Canon side story he has used it. It's so op its borderline cheating in 1v1 it's basically as powerful as you can get without being a world class item, and might actually be much more useful in combat then many of them) The armor of touch me is special. It's a world champion item. Touch me got it by winning a world championship tournament. Yep. He was that good. One of the regrets of Ainz is that no matter how hard he tried he could never beat him. Normally only the person who has held a world champion title could have use this armor, however the spell perfect warrior is overriding this rule (probably a bug that was never spotted and snuck to the new world). This armor is basically as good as it gets. Better than any other armor excluding world class items. Speaking of which. Perfect warrior allows Ainz to exchange his magical stats for the physical stats (mana to hp, mana regen to hp regen etc.). This however only changes the stats and not any skills. So you may have stats of a level 100 warrior but without any abilities even a level 80 or lower warrior could most likely defeat you. It's more of a last resort when you are out of mana. A sort of last effort. It only worked for Ainz because of his aftermeantioned opponents armor and weapons (this spell also allows you to use all warrior class equipment). That would be it from me for now. This took a while to write down. The only way to survive is like in this case is resurection. In the new world the skill god buffet a little so if the insta death spell is AOE the air and the land "die" too, like if any living being breathes death air they will die. Ainz gave each floor guardian a world item after Shaltear got mind controlled so that they would not be affected by other world items. If you have a world item other world items wont work on you,. And also that eye thing behind Shaltear was one of the elves Aura, Ainz hesitated to kill Shaltear and Aura used one of her skills to distract her. That was not a spoiler it is never even brought up in the anime really, but is touched on in the light novels.

the reason why ainz didn't use all of his divine class equipment, because he was afraid of losing all of his items if ever something happens to him.. so Basically Ainz is soloing a full counter Raid Boss with only his trash equipment(not mentioned in the LN what class of items he was items using).. for shalltear's equipment, her Pipette Lance is actually a Divine class item but for the rest of her equipment is unknown.. Her class is Valkyrie, Cleric, Cursed Knight, and Vampire

Do mage can normally do that, only if you have specific mageWarrior skills (Momonga used a exploit to get that, he has over 900+ skills which is why he is able to be a necromancer, cryomancer, have supertear spells, and the 20+ status buffs he mentioned. ) Only armor with spacific enchantments can allow a mage to pick up a sword, and that armor is not Lord Touch Me's Armor. He changed his class to do that

The item Downfall of Castle and Country used by the Black Scripture is a world-class item left behind by a group of other players, in lore when Ainz was transported into the game for him it felt like an instant if nothing at all but in reality several hundred years passed for the world itself, some other players too seem to be transported along with Ainz and just ended up in a different timeline. I remember they ended up helping the humans and in the end, Slane Theocracy was made and after their death, their items and equipment were kept by the Slane Theocracy and are considered their most valued artifacts because they considered players the same as gods, hence why they believe in 6 gods, one Scripture for each god (player). I hope this flavor info helps you understand a bit more about the world.

Thing about that was left out from the light novel is the reason why Shalltear was conflicted on orders while fighting ainz with no goal in mind is because the people who put the mind control on her were killed before giving her an order. THus she was put in a state to attack anyone that attacks her first.

Black Scripture were supposed to be the ones to kill Gazef Stronoff. But they were busy on another upcoming boss fight offscreen and head off. So, Slane assigned Sunlight and Windflower for the assassination instead. But Clementine incident happened so they re-assigned Windflower to retrieve the Crown of Wisdom but still not found her. When they lost communication from Sunlight Scripture, they contacted Black Scripture to side-track along their way to investigate but Shalltear happened.

And here it is! Was it ever on time? Anyway first time since forever wihout lore, cuz even if I had seen it at least 100 times, I'm still super hyped. Regurar lore coments are on the way, don't worry, there will be 2 of them at least, cuz there is no way you will get this alone.

You guys are the only reactors who picked up the moment and the person who used the world item to mind control Shalltear, and that the mind control wasn't completed because Shalltear critically wounded the spellcaster and forced the group to retreat, since she was too strong and nearly wiped them all out. Your Overlord reactions are a pleasant treat, with educated guesses in contrast to most other reactors' wild guesses, who oftentimes don't pay attention to what's being said in the dialogue and who don't pay attention to what's being said in the comments. Way to go, guys.

In 1v1, Shalltear is extremely difficult to fight. Peroroncino was a power gamer who obsessed over perfect character builds for combat. Ainz's usual fighting style is to rely on instant death spells and summon undead to test his target, then form a plan to counter them. But that's a no-go, here. Undead are immune to death magic. Shalltear would be stronger than any summons Ainz creates, and it'd just give her more HP to steal. And she has the Cleric class which gives her holy magic. Undead magic casters are a perfect target for her. Only an Overlord with the Eclipse class can use The Goal Of All Life Is Death. It deletes all instant death immunities and once a death spell is cast, everything in the blast zone dies. Ainz waited to use that so he could kill Shalltear and the Einherjar at the same time. Einherjar is a golem-like construct with all the items and stats of its user, with some of the skills, but no magic. If Shalltear used that at the beginning to attack Ainz up close while hitting him from a distance with magic, he'd have been in real trouble. Physically, Shalltear is way stronger than Ainz. Bur Perfect Warrior changes his magic stats into physical stats, and since his magic attack/defense is stronger than hers, when using Perfect Warrior, he becomes superior in melee. In YGGDRASIL, just relying on power isn't enough. The best items and characters are useless if you can't use them to their best potential. The six people in shadow at the end were the Cardinals of Slane Theocracy, the religious leaders of the country. They think Clementine is alive with the Crown of Wisdom.

The Black Scripture (the ones that attacked Shalltear) is the Slane Theocracy's Black Ops team. They're entirely composed of Hero lvl ex-adventurers. The reason they were there in forest that night was because they were hunting Clementine for stealing that holy crown back in episode 5. Fun trivia: at the end of episode 7, you may notice Shalltear's carriage passing by the potion shop, on their way to the cave.

Someone may have already said this, but Aura called Shaltear stupid for being mind controlled in the same way a sibling would call their sibling stupid for getting in trouble. Aura and Shaltear argue a lot, but only because (as mentioned in Episode 10) Shaltear's creator was Aura and Mare's creator's younger brother. Aura, Mare and Shaltear view each other as not-quite--siblings, more of close cousins.

Couple clarifications for ya guys (all stuff from anime, not future spoilers). The Black Scripture party that mind controlled Shalltear was originally sent by the Thane Theocracy nation to retrieve the super powerful artifact Crown of Wisdom that was stolen by Clementine (the circlet that Ainz casually destroyed when he rescued Nfirea). So they were just following leads for the theft that Ainz had already resolved and incidentally crossed paths with Shalltear and were forced to use the World Tier item when she overwhelmed them. Second, that eyeball thing behind Shalltear was a taunt ability used by Aura (you can see she was blowing something at the end of the fight from up on the cliff). So Ainz had some outside help in the fight that let him win.

A bit of info that you guys may have not noticed: Clementine stole the Crown of Wisdom and tried to use Khajiit (the necromancer Narberal Gama defeated) and his ritual to create chaos and lose the party of the Slane Theocracy that was hunting her for the Crown of Wisdom, the anime presents that information when she brings the Crown of Wisdom and her plan to kidnap Nifirea (a talent holder that can use any magic item) to Khajiit and he guessed her intentions with that plans. In the episode 13 in the Slane Theocracy one of the members of the party that tried to mind control Shaltear said that the Windflower Scripture was still hunting the traitor that stole the Crown of Wisdom revealing that Clementine was actually a traitor of the Slane Theocracy. I don't think that they will reveal more of Clementine in the anime, but in the novels it is stated that she was part of the Black Scripture of the Slane Theocracy (same one that mind controled Shaltear), there are Six Scriptures in the Slane Theocracy and the Black Scripture is the strongest of them, so as far as humans go Clementine was really strong for the power level of the New World.

Watch back how aura caught the wise king of the forest's attention then watch what happens when the scene cuts to aura when she says shalltear is undead but got mind controlled.

Fun fact: Pandora's Actor can actually use the 41 items the same way Ains did in this fight with Shalltear. Probably more efficiently, since he can shapeshift into any of the 41 guild members at will. Name drops, in case you missed it: Gargantua is the guardian of the 4th floor. Ainz knew she has a resurrection item so made her use all her MP and skills then nuke her with Goal of all life is death Ainz trump card (what i recommend searching up the skill it is very cool) as it insta kills everything and anything within 100m. If she didn't have a resurrection item he most likely could have killed her when she was in limbo.

i love it they think that the vampire works independently and they still underestimate her power unfortunately we don't see much of them in season 2 or 3

Perfect warrior skill is not the same with weapon creation he did to make the black armor. PW converts all his magic attributes wo warrior attributesmaking him effectively a lvl100 warrior, the problem is, he doesn't learn any passives, active skills. He just out there powerlevelled with no skills allocated to. Worse of all after he activates it it drains his mana, wipe. So he needs to wait out before he is back to full capacity. I just forgot how long.

I love how Shalltear woke up from her death horny.

In terms of power and ability of the 3 leaders of the NPCs they all beat each other in 3 way deadlock fashion. Albedo (strongest defense) can beat Shaltear (highest sustain), who beats Cocytus (highest burst damage) who then beats Albedo, and the only other NPC who can break the deadlock is whoever Sebas sides with.

Shalltear killed the woman who mind controlled her, so she was stuck in limbo with no one to command her since the person who mind controlled her is dead. Shalltear has a function that if she's attacked, she will activate her self defense program where she will be in that mode. That's why Ainz did what he did and buffed before attacking her so she will attack.

Thanka to you, Now I know that the countdown of the goal of all life isdeath corresponds to real world seconds. I mean the anime did not slow or speed up the countdown.

Creator of Shaltear Bukubukuchagama - a slime character and a famous "loli" voice actress, real life older sister of Peroroncino. Creator of Aura and Mare Warrion Takemikazuchi - fanboy of Touch Me, his whole goal was to defeat him at some point. Creator of Cocyutus Ulbert Alain Odle - Real into roleplaying "evil" and very anti establishemnt in the real world. Creator of Demiurge. Tabula Smaragdina - the background maniac roleplaying a d&D Mind Flayer. Obsessed with middle age alchemy lore, creator of Nigredo, Albedo and Rubedo. We only see Albedo in Anime. There are way more custom NPC creations in Nazarick like all the combat maids like Naberal but I think this is enough for now.

And here it is still in the intro xD. The gear of other guild members is ONLY God tier and parts of it even below. Comparasing God item to World item is almost like bike to ferrari. Ok both have wheels, but thats where it ends. World Class Items are litteraly legal cheats. They compleatly break the balans of the game and have power to break every possible rule, including game rules, laws of nautre...you think of it, World Item can break it. The most radicoulous of them can for example totaly anihilate your oponent with 1 hit with no way to bring him back, why? Oh it's simple, it deletes his account. Other of that radicoulous lvl of power give you power to littetaly send request to admins, which they MUST obey (if too radicoulous, there will be some negotiations, but for example making 1 of 9 worlds personal space of user for a month was ok). And remember EVERYTHING after translation to new World got radicoulously buffed, cuz it no longer have limitations of being just game. So the item that spawns demons endlesly untill they destroy everything would spawn bilions of bilions of them and probably finally destroy entire universe, cuz there is no thing as limit how many mobs can be generated before servers "explode"

(The very begining is just a theory cuz it isn't confirmed). 6 last players of some guild went on the last adventure before game ends, and took everything they could with them. Including 3 World Class Items: Downfall of Castle and Country, 4 Elements something something and Oroboros. And at the 00:00 they were teleported near the city being raided by monsters. They fought them off, but their mage/s were useless cuz magic of this world had nothing to do with yggdrasil version. Even worse they don't understand anyone, and noone can understand them. And to top it all of one of them is a fucking undead, the elder litch. In this wierd situation, after realising what happend they used 2 of their WCI. Both being of the 20 (super broken OP even for the World Item, therefore had single use and then despawning). The 4 elements had a power to change magic system anyway you want, so they enabled all Yggdrasil magic (creating tier system for new worlders indluding belive that 3rd is max to the 6th is realm of heros, and anything above only GOD can do). Oroboros, it could change anything you want, was used to enable auto-translation. It works only on speaking tho. They were that insanely powerfull, had unimagible gear, and did so much for humans they were considered GODS. (Undead, Surshana, of course became God of Death). Anyway, they might be super OP, but 5 of them were humans or something simular and simply died of old age, and the last one got asasinated 200 years later...but thats difterent story. Everything that remained of them is considered gift from Gods and is a nationat treasure...and in New World standars indeed have Godlike power.

the only feeling i get from watching the whole 13 episode is' the reason that you guy misunderstand so much is because every secound count in this anime but you guy speculation instead of watching so you miss so many key word so that's what i get. also if you still remeber they dose not hate each other. the creator of them both is sibling so they fight a lot but they have some feeling for each other. when mare say stupid it's mean stupid. anyway it's fun to watch imagination run wild.
