rose anvil says otherwise, and if you missed outbon a mid because of the demand on some of these colors, you are overpaying just like the highs, because the mid quality aint that good when it was shown cut in half.

Same love highs but the mids just like more like a sneaker or more fashionable to me but the colorways always turned me off and the materials felt ridged but these look great and I got one and they are so comfortable

my first pair of meds were the Gym Red's because I couldn't cop Bred's so I got. But the hype beast ghost keep making fun of me in my head (no one actually made fun of me) so I sold them on goat and now I regret it because it still like them and it was my wife's favorite :(

@@antonmothes3160 If you saw the 1s MJ played in they were shorter than the highs that were sold retail. They are called OG because its the orignal version that were sold. Mids were not sold back then it was just aj1 highs and AJKOs.
I was lookin close at them in the last dance documentary. They are mids that look high because of the way he wears his socks and the unique design. Also, I saw a review of some game worn AJ1s they look different to regular mids they don't have the height though.
I got these straight up because of the colorway. I'd never purchase any mids before but was bummed that I missed out on the 1's released for all-star weekend, so when these came out I didn't hesitate. The quality is sub-par FOR SURE, but the affordability makes up for it. I also don't feel bad about making these daily kicks. I've been wearing mine since the day I got them and they feel more comfortable every day. Definitely didn't think they were gonna sell out but I'm not surprised because as far as I can tell, everyone thinks these are the best mids ever. And I would have to agree. Like someone else said, glad the hypebeasts still hate mids so I didn't have to fight any bots to get these.

2019 was a great year for mids. I personally love the maison chateau rouge and blue the greats. The quality was top notch and mids really do give you more range of motion and comfort than most highs. People love to throw shade at mids without even knowing why they dislike them 🤷🏼♂️
Just got these on retail. Agreed with at least an extra white laces. Black toebox can hide creases and blacl soles won't look dirty. Always a great review. Keep safe.
You should do a sole swap and transplant it onto something with a zoom strobel. Make the all time traction with the all time cushion. Something like the KD 13 with a Jordan 1 outsole
Oyedotun Onabanjo he’s not just talking about the tag on the tongue the actual tongue is different on mids way thinner and cheaper and taller it we want it to have aa thicker lower cut tongue more similar to the highs I think that would improve the mids greatly

Hey Chris, when I heard you talk about Genuine leather, it reminded me of the channel Rose Anvil, who does leather stuff. He has a whole video talking about how Genuine is actually the lowest grade of leather (and a clever marketing scheme). Also, he cut a jordan 1 in half to check the leather quality lol.
He recently spit apart the shattered backboard, and revealed that its just okay leather. Much to the hypebeast propping it up as the standard for "good leather in jordans".
I saw that vid as well, was definitely surprised. I like to think Nike used better materials back in the 80s and 90s since demand wasnt as high as today and probably not as expensive. I know they have gotten cheap some where along the line with materials even with Jordan 1 OGs.
Mids all day to...Jordan didn’t ball in the og highs that’s why I love when the older dudes try to downplay me with my mids I’m like he balled in the mids I’m chilling they og highs because the OGs wore high top sneakers and mj wasn’t the og at that time but Nike had to produce highs to sell them mj preferring mids is just epic to me so I’ll stick with my mids and I literally just purchased these same mids I believe it said black toe on there
Mids used to be super fresh. From 2003-2009. Quality and craftsmanship were nice. They’d come with a jumpman keychain, retro card & other extras. The black/gold 1 from 03 was packaged in a jet black box with the wings logo on it. Those were the good ol days. From 2010 to now, Jordan 1 mids have been 🤷🏻♂️ to me.
I don't understand why they can't just release the mid in the OG Chicago colorway. I wouldve bought this immediately if the toe was white. The black tow makes it fugly
I have j1 mid and high, and you can tell the difference when wearing them, the softness of the leather in a high j1 is way better than the mid. You have to break in the mid, it's stiff as hell, I have to break it in for a long time, now it's worn out but feels better. Thing is, i really like the mids than the high, oh well, hopefully they will make better quality in mids even if they bump the price a bit.
@@victorhenningsen2313 I’d say these. They’re more of a classic shoe IMO. I prefer high’s but these are slept on for sure. Smokes are 🔥 but you can’t go wrong with black red and white. Grey is harder to match
I don’t understand the hate on mids, I like the look of highs but mids also look good on feet, I’m into sneakers but I don’t have the luxury to buy a pair of $400+ highs from some hypebeast on stockx

I was gonna sat exactly what you said. These are closer to the lower cuts MJ actually wore on the court, If you look at film or video of Jordan in 85 these mids look exactly like what he played in.

Love your vids. You provide much more information in a more sophisticated way than average shoe-tubers. Honest, detailed reviews. Since a fan of actual leather, I prefer highs. Missed your comments on the latest black-pine green... I love the look and materials, but after a few days use a portion of glue from the side evaporated, causing a gap between the rubber and leather panels. I suppose they used a less flexible glue on an incredibly soft and matte leather. Do you think the fire red 4s rumored to release on Black Friday are for real? Thanks for the good work!
Best mid of all time the first jordan I had since I was super young as the Jordan 1 mids which im just now realizing that I was 17 going into my season yeah but I would cop just to sell tho lol
I remember wanting a pair of 1’s when they came out as a kid and they didn’t have em when we went to the mall so I needed up with the Payless black and red versions. I think it’s time to redeem my Jordan 1 dream as a 45 year old man lol.
The red square on the heels on my pair has a raw edge. You can see the red parts are real leather. Also visible through the eyelets where the holes have raw edges.
I let this pass me once or twice but just couldnt resist the chicago colorway . . Finally grabbed me a pair and Im glad I did . . Mids are so underrated . . Materials arent the best but not the worst either and they look good on feet !

I love this red, wht, blk, colorway, bought them for my 16 year old, reminds me of the original J1 85 without the very, very, very expensive price tag, wanted to pick up a pair for myself but I have to many mids and highs, so I approve, Jordan 1 mids are the shit, people sleeping on them, can't beat the price compared to the Jordan 1 high prices

Love the Jordan 1 Mids, a great way of getting some Jordan 1 flavour without the difficulty of getting and the ridiculous prices, recently picked up the Jordan 1 Mid Reverse Bred’s from last year and love them. These though? Not feeling the colour blocking on the tongue and toe block
