speak for yourself. tons of ppl including joe said the nasa style was awesomely interesting. they just fucked up the game, and id say mainly due to the loading screens. id have no problem trekking barren planets if it felt like space travel but not being able to land where you want etc. just ruined the whole point. it doesnt feel like space travel but a glorified psx game with a fancy level select screen and empty levels.

Meta is entirely caused by Zucker reading a book called Snow Crash, he went off about it, got super excited, and tried replicating its Metaverse (he took the name, don't know if he even got permission). It's literally the result of an ultrarich getting way too into a sci-fi fandom. While his money burning crusade will cause progress toward a cyberspace tech industry, we're still many decades behind it realistically happening.

It's great to see how much of a success Manor Lords is so far! Slavic has done so much work, and we Alpha Testers did our smal part. Btw. I know a guy with a high grade (20,000 €+) suit of armour and he says: Don't use mineral oil. Just polish it really well. But it's up to you how you keep the helmet clean. I hope it will be used in costumes for medieval game stuff, lol.
It actually is. Better story, better and much more unique character related move sets, combat system, equipment builds, even and ironically, higher mission and enemy variations, with different factions, humans, robots, villains.
@@okagron Well, it's your opinion, but I'm gonna assume you played the campaign, a bit of multiplayer, got lost and bored and followed the wave of people that gave a blind eye for what is good in the game. I can understand. I played since release, got the nuance of combat, got to the endgame, enjoyed multiplayer for a long time, loot system, end game buildings. For me it was one of the best Marvel games. Had a rocky release with bugs, and people just bashed it, internet culture, it's normal and predictable, but the game had a lot to offer for the ones that understood the style, basically a Destiny model, looter multiplayer. I guess in the end of the day, if you like the gameplay and cycle you like the game and keep playing, it's simple. I saw the development afterwards, and I'm pretty sure the game died because of internet's exagerated reaction. It has a pretty decent campaign, great combat, graphics and other qualities.
As a VR trooper, I see these headlines similar as they were before 2016 with VR being dead or dying, but with Quest Horizon OS, I see the OEMs about to make an Xbox headset and I see a bigger future than just Meta.
That happens with every update to Creation Engine games, though; SKSE64 breaks with every Skyrim SE update, SKSE with every Skyrim update, F4SE with every Fallout 4 update, SFSE with every Starfield update. It has to do with the low-level nature of how the script extenders interact with the games (that I don't fully understand), not some callous disregard for modders on Bethesda's part, so "criminal" is bit extreme.

Because I still don't see any improvement in stability or bug fixes after 10 years of updates. It's like they change one dependency in the main exe to break all the mods and call it a day. Sure, there could be more, but bethesda isn't telling us, so we assume the worst. Actually, looking at the skse patch notes, all they did was update their creation club ui. So, they are literally breaking mods to improve their own paid mod storefront.
Honestly, just like with the Skyrim anniversery update, most of us who really played the game HATE this. Breaks all of our mods and the frameworks for them, so we just have to manually roll back and not update because the mods that are available are superior to what the update provides anyways. It would be one thing if the game received constant updates over the last few years, but it was left alone and fore dead, and the come back just to break shit.
I’m really enjoying the Fallout update on PS5, it seems to be the only console that honesty needed it, I think they could’ve left the others alone but eh. Still sucks others are struggling and can’t have fun, if you’re having issues I hope they fix it soon and you can jump in and experience Fallout 4
I love my quest 3 and really hope meta doesn't abandon VR, I use it more than my xbox and gaming pc, walkabout minigolf, racketclub, pistolwhip, eleven table tennis, echoVR, Asguards Wrath 2 and more are all amazing experiences that simply cannot be done on flatscreen.
Unlike the billion-dollar Meta field, VRChat has had legs in their VR game for almost a decade now. Makes you wonder why Zuck doesn't just hire those devs, hmm?
Word's been going around that the game has been censored. I'll wait that out. I certainly aint spending $70 on a censored game when the UNcensorced stuff that have been shown in gameplay footage is only reason the game will sell.

Word is that Sony has imposed this, yet the devs say it was always that case from a day 1 patch? This makes no sense since there's no nudity in the game and yet The last of us 2 / Boulders Gate 3 / Cyberpunk has it.

I'm very pleased with the PS5 Fallout 4 upgrade. I think they only should've released this for consoles. Runs so much smoother now and at 60 frames it's so much more enjoyable now.
just to note with the fallout 4 thing, from what I have seen its mostly F4SE that was broken, but the guy is working on it atm and will probably have a test version out in a day or so

Net neutrality is insane to me. I pay for internet and expect you to provide that service so I can do what I want with it, not so you can provide it to use how you want i.e. what Joe said, slowing netflix and boosting peacock.

In 14 hours I took over my entire map, specialized each place. It's deep in some ways but shallow in others. He came out saying that and there are a lot of possibilities.

Thats funny, because the news video I watched just before this was on how Meta is expanding, releasing their os (which is going to be rebranded as horizon os), to third party hardware developers like asus, microsoft, and samsung who are creating their own vr headsets. Changing the app store to allow easier access to indy developers. Touched on how meta will continue to be the company that builds the quest headsets... doesn't sound like a company thats abandoning vr to me.

Before the update F4 had fast loading screens, but after the update I’m waiting like 20-30 seconds to go inside/outside buildings… and that’s vanilla experience
Meta and Sony (and now Apple) never even acknowledged that vr porn is actually a thing that exists, so it never rly got to take off here in the west. But xxx vr is pretty big in Asia, tho. Even if all the big tech companies give up on vr in the next 5 years; the Chinese definitely won't. So maybe porn already kinda did save vr...

If you try Manor Lords. Keep in mind it is not ready for release. That means you might have 20 hours of fun before you run out of content, and those 20 hours, might have the ocasional bug. It is what i expected, but i dont think that is what the overhypers expected.
Tic Tok ban won’t do anything. It will only block American companies to “host” the app. We Americans have unfettered internet meaning you can open any browser and type in a website that’s Chinese or Vietnamese Japanese anything. You then can just save the website as a shortcut to your phones Home Screen. Which for us end users, will function the exact same as any app from the play store or google play. You will not need a vpn and it takes less than a minute.
I have nearly 900 hours in Fallout 4 on PC And absolutely 0 save game files that didn't get broken due to the "Next Gen" update. S'ok though, my modded New Vegas still works fine.
yeah the fallout update basically destroyed my game. It's almost like it uninstalled everything about the game and then reinstalled it, and it doing so it got rid of all my mods and most of them aren't available anymore, so idk if i'll ever play it again.
I was so happy to get some extra content for Fallout 4, but then my game crashed 3 times in an hour after the update. Scared to restart it now, might have ruined my entire play-through...
Make it illegal for any entity to require, store, save, share and sell user private data. More importantly, make it illegal for any service, program, app and device to have any hidden backdoor function that spies and violates privacy of its users, instead of simply banning. If the entity doesn't comply, then banning is acceptable.

The ending of Starfield was really good. Learning the origin of the grav drive engines and what happened to the earth was really interesting. The game is filled with alien creatures. A race of sentient aliens would have been stupid and out of place. I’m starting to believe they faked their play throughs if they genuinely believe everything they say about it.
From my understanding on the net nutrality, if the government regulates the business's that dictate traffic speed, they are imposed a greater cost to ensure everybody recieves equal internet traffic speeds. As a result these companies have no incentive to invest and expand because they incur a greater cost to ensure everybody is treated fairly. Then they transfer that increased cost onto the consumers. So internet providers such as verizon or att and t dont upgrade or expand their network and increase their prices due to the increased cost to ensure equal treatment of internet speeds. Am i missing something or is this a logical spillover effect from forcing equal treatment regarding internet speeds?
I have had zero issues with fallout on my ps5 once they finally added it to the ps plus library. All of my mods reinstalled flawlessly and it’s been performing great. Excellent fucking video game.
How in hell can Meta be down a billion dollars a month and the only VR software they offer is an absolutely awful 'metaverse' that is worse than every other game on the platform? I will never understand what they have been spending money on. With that kind of payout, GTA6 should be a meta exclusive or something.
It doesn't surprise me that Meta in haemorrhaging money on VR. I bought a quest 2 and, apparently like 25% of people who try VR, got violently ill from motion sickness so returned it for a full refund [including the elite strap & battery kit, which they didn't even want me to return.... so that's a 100% loss on that item for them.]
