I’ve been a part of the community of Tarkov for years and have thousands of hours into the game and I can’t bring myself to play this game anymore. BSG is killing their own game, and a game I’m very much looking forward to comes out tomorrow, Greyzone Warfare, and if that has a successful launch Tarkov is DONE.
Same. I've been a EoD owner for the last 5 years, LOVE the game, but I can't bring myself to play it cause of all these poor decisions in the game. I was fine with the bugs, tweaks, slow content updates but I called it when BSG started doing small microtransactions options (Stash upgrades, apparel unlocks, even Co-Op unlock) that they would try to milk the community a bit when no one was looking....but if you enjoy the game, you're constantly looking, like the community. And don't get me wrong, those microtransactions weren't terrible, they didn't really affect the in-game portion, but it's the principle and respect of it. The new edition includes having an SOS beacon to call in friends mid-match to come help you, or give you an item that increases your Fence Rep to where Scavs can't attack you from 60m away. I've enjoyed EFT for being a game where the decisions you make is your fault or a hard grind type of game. It's punishing, but a few of these perks lessen that feeling.

Saying all those microtransactions "weren't all that bad" when they sound eerily close to pay-to-win and paying $150 for a game are just the reasons why modern games like these are utter shit. It was naive of you all to expect a company to uphold their promise of giving their paypigs all future DLC for free. At the very least, you should have expected there would have been a limit to it.I would only feel comfortable buying into something like that if they were legally obligated to uphold their promise of all future DLC, but 1) Video game companies are under no obligation to give you anything and they can change their terms with no legal penalty and 2) even if the entire community decided to collectively lash back with a lawsuit, it wouldn't matter since the devs are from Russia. Hopefully this will be a lesson to you and everyone else who paid these devs more than they deserved. When something sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

I think ads that play when your video is paused will cause you to close RU-vid altogether. If you are pausing to talk to someone, take a phone call or something else, then ads playing are actually getting in the way. So you either are inconvenienced or have an pointless time tax, both options are a quality of life drop.
On Roku it’s just a stationary visual ad. It’s annoying if you’re trying to pause a scene at a certain moment but aside from that it’s not too bad. Sorry I haven’t finished the video if they mentioned playing full on ads with sound I’d be SO MAD.
It’s far worse than that when Roku is concerned. The patent mentions monitoring the HDMI ports so if you pause a movie/series or game the tv will play an ad, so for example the series you brought to watch back to back on Blu-ray without ads now has ads.
@14:30 something i didnt know until i started using my TV to watch YT is that they actually force extended ads on you. We are talking 30 -60 second ubskippables. I cant be sure but i think i once gotva 90 second unskippable. Completely different grom PC & Phones. Its honestly so scummy.

I'm living in Japan for a bit over a year so not sure how different it is now but since living here and having RU-vid on TV and pause a video it just starts playing Ads after like 1-2 minutes and then continues my video after those Ads. So I often come back to my video and it just kept playing!! So damn annoying this BS! I didn't have this problem back in Germany

RU-vid ads when video is paused, good and bad. The reason people pause it is to leave the room or doing something so it doesn't matter. Or bad because sometimes people have sleeping babies/kids and pause it to go check on them and if some really loud ad plays that's not good. And ads are always louder than the video.
I imagine the gpu and cpu they will be utilizing will be a year or two behind. Raw power has never really been Nintendo's style. Still I wish they would aim for 1440p. 1080p has been around since the PS3 😂

You ad's on pause is such a dreadful idea. Majority of time when pause mid video its because you want to mute it to concentrate on something more important, but don't want to miss any of the video. I often play games with lot quiet moments and have you tube in background, soon as talking part or cutscene kicks in I hit pause on my keyboard which immediately pauses the video so I can focus on the game etc, so if a ad started at that point, it would defeat the point, and it would make you tube completely un-usable unless those adds was mute by default, but we all know those ads will prob blast out at 5x the volume of the video you was watching.
YT punishes people for pausing a video or stopping a video for whatever reason, and then coming back to it, because 90% of the time they’ll run an ad after you unpause

Nintendo doing it's usual Nintendo things by stopping people having fun. The day when I finally have a Steam Deck in my hands is the day I kick my Nintendo products to the curb. Also, if these guys don't know already, they should show their support for Ross Scott's campaign for game preservation. If Nintendo isn't going to listen to their international teams saying: "Don't bite the hand, that feeds you", then every country needs to embargo sales of Nintendo Merch, maybe when they're no longer making money off international sales, they'll wake up, last time I played Nintendo was on the N64 (Duke Nukem, Mario 64, Lylat Wars), but since they have no interest to care for their IPs (worse than EA/T2/Embracer), playing anything Nintendo related is near impossible w/out the "Forbidden" Tech as they like to call it, we gamers prefer to call it "Videogame Preservation".

If a company or officer of a company actually apologizes for their shady business dealings, legally, they are liable and can be sued in civil court for fraud, false advertising, etc. That's why in settlements the companies never admit fault. The irony is, i'd way prefer adds to roll when the video is paused then the jarring ones that hit you in the face while watching the video. If adds only played while paused, and i could just click play again to start the video at any time, instead of having to wait for the adds to finish, i'd actually have no problem with ads on youtube. One of the biggest issues with adds is how invasive they are.

I expierienced some of the RU-vid ads already and on the phone it’s kinda weird you’ll scroll through comments and a ad will appear for whatever it is they put for a second I thought it glitched out but now with this news it makes sense
I’ve noticed that when I’m watching a video, and soon as I go to the comments to read them, within 20 seconds, and ad plays and kicks me out of the comments..RU-vid’s algorithm sucks so badly
I have YT premium and listen to stuff like this with the screen off while working. Plus, since I rarely watch TV, I practically never see commercials anymore across apps and can watch longer YT vids without being bothered.

I gotta say though, if we need to endure ads - which Google seems REAL determined to ram down our throats - ads during paused content are MUCH better imo than an unskippable series of ads at the start of video or straight up interrupting content multiple times during playback.
I think you've misunderstood. this will not be replacing the current ad model its extra ads when you pause. like you could finish watching your unskippable ads then say "shoot i forgot a drink" then you pause and immediately get another ad.
Peacock does something similar in their ad-tier subscription but it's just a static image. It's not intrusive and I personally don't mind it. However, if RU-vid experiments with a video ad playing, then that's heading in the wrong direction altogether. It's a shame there isn't a real competitor to help influence some change or at least challenge RU-vid's "monopoly".
Just a correction, apparently the switch 2 can output 1080p on the screen alone but can also output 4k on tv screens. At least that's what we "know" so far

Thinking that creators on YT does stuff for free just because they think you deserve free stuff is also dumb. I hate paying for RU-vid Premium, especially given that it's way too expensive for what it offes. But the fucking ads annoy me enough (also on TV and on the phone, where ad-blocking is harder) that I've given up and pay them to not annoy me, so they win I guess. As a result I'm also using RU-vid Music as my main music service, given that I already pay for it anyway.
Blizzcon was likely cancelled due to the microsoft transition. I imagine that focus is pretty big. Also they had most of their announcements this past blizzcon, three wow expansions, teased new diablo expansion.
The Apple headset reminded me of 'The electric state', an alternate world where a massive Skynet like machine rules the US and giant machines can be found. what stops devs from publishing to switch 1 and switch 2? I know Nintendo won't but others could. We now have Red Dead Redemption on there, a game where you continuously shoot hordes of people for no apparent reason. So the doors are WIDE open for all kinds of ps3/xb1 era games to still come to switch 1 and 2 at the same time.
Tarkov PVE is broken! They should scrap it for now! Cheaters can connect to your "offline" pve session vacuum the best loot and leave without the risk they would have by doing that in an online session. They essentially support RMT!
I wish RU-vid Premium would Block all the stupid Sponsers that every RU-vidr is constantly Advertising in every single video. That's how companies are getting around Adblockers & Premium services. Just have all the RU-vidrs promoting/advertising our products.
Regarding the PVE Tarkov. SPT is FREE. Its a great mod for Tarkov. It runs a local server on your own PC so the no server capacity is BS. Also, if all the EoD people want to play PvE but they dont have server capacity... BUT they can allow them to all play PvP, does that not mean they can redirect some server capacty from PvP to PvE...
That's why you always pay full price for the same Nintendo games over and over. You're basically recouping their legal fees that go to very non-consumer-friendly practices. Hooray!
I really want youtube premium. It's just too expensive for what it is. It sucks too as the ads are now a getting way too frequent and long on some videos.
I regret every single time I paid for RU-vid Premium when I was younger and stupid. The month felt like it went by in 2 weeks and just another $12 down the drain.

I watch RU-vid through my PS5, and I also have RU-vid Premium AND those motherfuckers have already started showing ads in the form of a 'screensaver' when a video is paused or you are inactive for a moment where if you click the wrong button you start the advertised video instead of continuing to watch the video you paused or going back to your account. I get these fucking ads even though I have Premium. I sent them feedback, and you should too!
