How about BF? It used real gun sounds and filtered it to fit in enviroments.

the filter for different environments was a nice touch 4 sure, but it lacks something that the real thing has. it just sounded kinda fake even if they recorded real fire, whatever they used to record it with didn't quite capture its realism as well as the games mentioned above.

It's actually based on the AK74M Modernized variant which is basically the AK74M, with new parts including a railed dust cover and handguard. Some may call it the AK74M3. The current production AK12 does not retrofit most internal parts and the dust cover due to it being of different design thanks to the new rear sight layout. In most regards, the AK12 is basically the evolved AK series with better performance and slight redesign to improve ergonomics

No it hasn't, the Insurgent faction was one of the two first shipped with the game,(Actually they were called The Taliban back then, that's how old they are) I remember seeing gameplay from years ago before it was even in alpha stage, where the Insurgents would run around with AKMs fighting Americans with their M4s. The real reason is probably because you can't actually use the Insurgent or Rebel factions in the "Firing Range" test mode. I guess he didn't want to bother spending ten seconds finding an empty server to test it on.
