This man is 100% correct. Although he forgot to mention that every 20 years or so you must start thinking about swapping out the graphite rods in your reactor so they reduce the speed of neutrons and allow a nuclear reaction to be sustained.
Graphite rods are partially inserted in the reactor all the time and act as moderators, to slow down neutrons; on emergency they are dropped all the way down, snuffing out nuclear reaction altogether.
12 gauge auto loaded with 6 00 buckshot vs my ars.... 2 intruders max? 12 gauge auto all day. I can literally remove my front door in 2 seconds with it. 6 rounds as fast as I can pull trigger. If I have to reload its rip though lol
Remember: Cosmoline is there for your protection. It makes the reactor dormant until the rifle is cleaned and prepped for service. A trained technician is necessary to handle this process.
In manual of Soviet people's technical facility 200056, it instructs such that technician must possess vyodkya blood content no less than .14, resisting radioactive effects of cosmoline-depleted rifle action.
Rob I really wish I was more careful with the power slider. I blew a hole through the back of my local indoor range. Now it's completely irradiated and condemned as a nuclear waste site
Idk what you are talking about Rob. One time, I set my Norinco AK’s rear sight to the 800 meter setting and I watched the RSO at the range catch on fire and spontaneously combust right in front of my eyes.
In the Carter Presidential Library in Atlanta, there is an AK on display which was gifted to Carter from the head of state of an African country (can't remember which one) that has the rear sight maxed out
I read somewhere that the Zulus that had captured Martini-Henry rifles at Islawanda set the rear sights at maximum elevation in the belief that doing so made the guns more powerful.
I read somewhere that when Rhodesians caught enemy soldiers, they asked why the rear sights of re-captured FN-Fals were set to max. And the communist soldiers said they thought it made the guns for powerful.
Holy shit. Just looked over my Maadi right now and discovered it DOES contain KGB 10th power level... Ordering my front sight purge device from AKOU store now. Thanks Robski!👍
ROB, you forgot to mention, after releasing the pressure, you must initiate the Multihundred-Watt radioisotope thermoelectric generator, by pressing on the front trunnion, lower rivets at the same time, until there are 2 audible clicks, seating the PU238 rods into the SIGe thermoelectric couples. This locks the rods in place, and activates the bypass for the gas operating system, so that in the event that the operator fails to properly maintain their weapon system, the PU238 does not go into a runaway and scram.
I was in the Mediterranean when this happened we heard about these ak's and that our newly m16a2 would not be able to compete with them thanks Rob for bringing this to light
@@yfelwulf I've never liked the AR/M16 and the 5.56 cartridge, so I wouldn't be surprised. I'm interested. Beyond the U.S. Army'sphasing in the 6.8mm Sig Spear (kinda going back to battle rifles), what are your reasons, like where do those figures come from?
LMFAO, I remember listening to former Selous Scouts and Rhoadie SAS talk about their AARs. During interrogations they would ask enemy combatants why every AK they captured had there rear sites set at 1,000 yards and the captured enemies would all say the same thing….they thought it was a “power setting” for the cartridges. 🤣🤣🤣
I've found that, by setting the power slider to between the 3 and 4 setting, the radiation given off is kept at a manageable level and the power is comparable to a .50BMG instead of the level 10 nuclear warhead mode. All in all - not great, not terrible.
I have one of the Russian Ak’s with the reactor (Uranium rods included!). New manufacture. Bought it through Croatia to avoid the Russian ban. Switched out the US made handguard for a Russian one and a month later the ATF paid me a visit and took it due to 922r non compliance:(
America didn't need nuclear reactors in its rifles. We gave the M-16/M-4 series a "Sniper Button" to instantly generate more power within the rifle. For those who are unfamiliar with this family of weapons, this is the button that is located behind the ejection port, on the right side of most rifles. Some have done away with this feature, as it is too powerful for civilian use in many locations, but all military rifles have it. When you realize you need maximum power out of your rifle, you press and hold this button with your thumb while pulling the trigger. The bolt will not cycle, as the round you have fired is too powerful, and it would destroy the operating mechanism. You will have to cycle the action by hand. Most of you have probably heard of the sniper button misconception, but if you haven't, it's worth looking into. It's hilarious stuff.
Robski, I had no idea of the AK nuclear reactor! Thank you for the info, at least now I know why my safe always seems to be glowing and the bugs in my house have gotten much bigger. Haha!
Hahaha. Thank you Rob for the extremely important and timely warning. I have released the pressure to safe levels using the special tool as shown in the video. Now my rifle is safe, but it is shooting extremely high. I believe it may be from the reduction of nuclear fusion. I will work on correct pressure testing and calculations and let you know:)
Hahahahahahahahaha!!! This kind of deadpan humor is on point brother. Fact time: Rhodesian Selous Scouts and SAS forces used AK's when doing deep infiltration behind enemy lines to blend in and have a lighter fighting load while matching enemy forces' firepower capabilities.
@@McFinnSki8097 the wood furniture just makes it so much more appealing than the modern M77. Made in a time where care was taken in building it, and not pumped out for the consumer market.
I just confirmed that my Polish WBPs only go to 8! Damn, Rob did tell me a couple of years ago to buy an M70. I will always follow his advice from now on😁
I just bought my first AK yesterday. Kalashnikov USA kr103 with wood furniture. Going shooting today. It goes up to 10. They might not let me on the range 🤣
I haven't laughed so hard in a long time Rob!!!!! This was absolutely the funniest thing I've seen in years! The comments are also very funny! Love the channel!
I laughed so hard I almost fell out of my chair. Then of course I had to go check to see if my AK has the reactor setting. I can neither confirm nor deny, as there might be licensing through the Department of Energy involved, and I don't want anyone to come steal my suitcases.
I remmber reading about increasing the ballistic power of an AK by moving the rear sight ladder to the highest range adjustment in Soldier of Fortune magazine.. But that this only works in Africa under the supervision of Cuban "advisors." And Warsaw pact produced AKs share the feature, except for recalictrant Czech CZs.
It's good thing that Rob is wearing the AKOU brain wave enhancing skull cap. It allows you to talk as stupid as you want, but still come off as intelligent. I'm definitely getting one this winter.
This 100% awesomeness! I have purchased Geiger counter and Iodine tablets and now understand how was able to destroy aircraft carrier with just one shot using secret KGB method.
Rob is that an original rhodie FAL? Looks like it! Very cool. I like your brushstroke camo too! I've always been fascinated with the Bush war, the scout, RLI and fire force. Amazing stuff
My Main man. Mr. Ski. This reminds me of the hot summers in area J. Giving classes to want to be steely eyed killers. Then hitting yadkin rd for a gut bomb. Then mod demo for the suits. Great times. Great video.
You forgot to put a full glass of Vodka inside the magazine, to ignite the flame inside the combustion chamber to maintain the reaction active for longer time.
Thanks Rob. I'll be sure to have a Geiger counter in hand to determine if I can pick it up with my bare hands or if NBC apparel is required. Well needed "public service announcement". 😎
