Don't like your existing animation or rigging package? Give akeytsu by nukeygara a try. We take a look at this animation package in this video. Link www.gamefromscratch.com/post/...
ya saw this checked out its not free you get a month trial and while thats cool im waiting for a blender fix on rigging then its back to blender and unreal great up lets see what it can do maybe ill use it for a month to get some stuff done ???? keep u[p good work man i dont use unity so thats where i stop but looks semi useful
The pronunciation would be "akitsu" (a-ki-tsu). It's Japanese as you can imagine, and is an old word for "dragonfly," as in their logo. The spelling is a wordplay possibly from "key animation."
Really wish someone would develop VR animation software. Animation is like sculpting in that it's such a natural fit for VR. VR sculpting vs flatscreen scultping is like using a Clintiq to paint a digital painting vs using a mouse. Animation is similar because it's a lot of organic positioning, where having that view as if you are inside the environment the animated figure exists in is such a huge advantage...not to mention you don't need to orbit the camera because you can just look around, and you also have two simultaneous "cursors" with full 3D spatial freedom with which to position things (your 2 hands) instead of just 1 that can only move in 2D (using click and drag with the mouse). It's sad that we still use flatscreen for these things.
I have been using this since it's alpha release; it's incredible for base skinning and animation. I have only come across one piece of software that allows one to do your skinning as easily as this one does; and that's Houdini. But for the basic animation side, nothing I've found has beaten Akeytsu for ease of use. That zero fuss IK/FK system is
Great to hear this ! About facial rig controls Akeytsu now has blendshapes (you can see a tutorial about it here : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XOOebeFa9ro.html), and also a 100% joint-driven facial rig alternative, pretty simple but fairly cool to manipulate with what akeytsu actually offers, tutorial + Akeytsu file are here : www.nukeygara.com/blog/create-a-facial-rig Have a nice day !
not an animator, but I am curious: how does this help animators? What make this any better than other streamline DCC? I can only see that it doesn't have controllers, and the stackers lists down the keyframes. If it's really that cool, I might suggest them to my animator friends.
can be either seconds or frames (up to your preferences within the software), you can also have a specific playback framerate above that (up to 400fps, worthy if you have those gorgeous Asus high-level framerate screens ;))
im sorry i dont see any reason to use this as you can do all of this inside your 3D package of choice... and some even better with addons that auto setup rigs and others that can speed up the weighting and enveloping
@@prezadent1 If professionals, like Ubisoft, Tangent Animations, the studio that created Neon Genesis Evangelion, and many freelancers use it, then it is professional software. Period.
this program looks really cool but its pretty expensive for what it is and does when blender with some good addons can easily do the same thing...rigpro for blender addon is as about as easy as it can get for making a rig on the fly you just drop the dots where you want the bones to be and boom boom you got a facial working system... its facial rigging layout doesnt get any easier just connect the dots..and boom you got a custom rig currently this looks like a more elaborate but easy version of rigify which comes free with blender...so im not easily sold on its price tag...maybe if there was some AI embedded into it that asked me a few questions as i was dropping where i wanted things so it could do a better job at it than me...than yeah id be forking out that kind of money...but that kind of software isnt out right now..so ill save my pennies
Rigging takes time to learn cause its' a very logical process. It can be automated, but automated results rarely gives professional results. That said, an autorigger is about to come in the future, so stay tunned ;)
just like how ZBrush is focus on Sculpting this is about focusing on Animation same with KeyShot, Marmoset Toolbag, Substance Painter, Designer, Quixel and other specialty tool for production.
@@pawpotsRS Care to elaborate? ie, zBrush has far lot more tools that can do just about anything you like, from brushes, to the quick remeshing feature to flawless sculpting workflow compared to shitty, sorry excuse of Maya's unusable sculpting tools (this goes to all other tools that you've mentioned except keyshot). But Maya can very much do animations pretty seamlessly, so how is this any better? I'm not an animator so I just wanted to understand.
@@Potatinized zbrush is specialty tool which is used for detail while akeytsu is specialize in animation just like photoshop which again specialize in photo editing
@@gamefromscratch duh never tried that ugh lol i feel stupid now , ya the one at time works better yea...ill try a test run later and let ya know if htis is smehtng easy ill do a mini tut and up to youtube cause a ton of peeps are having prob now wiht latest blender
