I would love an episode on Eamon deValera. He was Ireland's first taoiseach (basically prime minister, pronounced TEE-shock) was also elected President and was a Catholic theocrat and (borderline?) fash. He was the only ruler in Europe that gave his condolences to the german parliament after the death of Hitler. 24:29 According to the Wikipedia entry of the word in question, it was first recorded in reference to gay men in 1914, and before that, since the 16th century it had been used as an insult for older women too. So it has a storied history as a slur.

@jstarstudios7110 I'm pretty sure it's just because people hate women. Just as claims of witches were usually just misogyny. Wikipedia says older women, like widows, used to gather wood as an occupation.
