They should have gotten John Hurt for a couple of Nostromo logs since he was the Executive Officer aboard the Nostromo. Would have liked to hear what he had to say prior to his "incident" on the derelict that led to his death.

He didn’t pass away untill 2017, but even if he was ill, they could have used a sound alike as they did with Ian Holm.

Yeah, it wasn't known until 2015 that he was ill, I'm sad they didn't manage to get him in for this

It's interesting to hear how the Alien cast's voices have changed over the years. Tom Skerritt, Sigourney Weaver and Harry Dean Stanton sound basically the same but Veronica Cartwright and Yaphet Kotto sound somewhat different- probably due to Kotto's declining health and the fact that Lambert (originally very skinny) gained quite a lot of weight in her middle age.

Good LORD, these are damn-near impossible to hear unless you jack the volume to maximum. I mean, it's nice you included them all, but when you can't HEAR them, there's a problem!

I mean, I sort of understand what CA was _trying_ to do but it doesn't work for me for different reasons. They were probably trying to emphasize the dullness of what the Nostromo's daily tasks were prior to there encounter to set up a contrast. The problem is, there's clearly no direction being given to the older actors, and there's also no actual on set acting with improvisation happening when they perform the lines, so they don't really feel like real people. At any rate, CA couldn't have done it with the budget they had. That's the best they got unfortunately.

Can someone more knowledgeable tell me just how many times we hear the original movie's cast members in the game (not counting DLCs)? OK so we have the 10 Nostromo Logs. We also have Ellen Ripley talking in the opening of the game and in the message she left behind that we hear when the reactor is blown and Taylor dies (I think mission 15). What am I missing?
