I learned my lesson with these and ever since I’ve just done wrap over the OE quality pieces. Have a mix of Piano Black and Carbon Fiber wrapped trim in my ‘14 Tiguan R now. Can get a small roll of really good 3D carbon weave wrap in matte or gloss, and a roll of Piano Black gloss for cheap and just wrap the OE pieces and get an incredible look with that proper OEM trim fitment.
Centre piece for my wheel was the same, tried some padded 3M tape to stick it better but then it stood too far out. Needs the thin double sided tape I think. Didn't realise the silver piece popped out like that, tempted to try gluing it onto that out of the car now
It's part of the "coolwalk" update for android auto....its the latest update they are rolling out. I have to delete android auto on phone and sideload the 8.9 apk file
