In their 2018 'Actors on Actors' conversation Alison Brie and Jessica Biel's talk 'GLOW' and 'The Sinner.' bit.ly/VarietySubscribe / variety / variety / variety
I really respect Jessica. She has been in the biz for decades and has had to navigate her way through type cast stereo types. I've always been a fan. There's something about her innate strength and beauty. I always knew she would find her way to some bad ass roles and notoriety within her craft that would show the depth that she holds within herself as a person an an actor. Big ups!
Alison Brie is so beautiful. She looks so friendly, familiar and approachable. She does not have that snooty or arrogant aura that many Hollywood actors have. I really wish her all the best in career and family.
Alison Brie is unique, amazing, I love the fact that she is speaking with emphasis, energy. She's got a warm heart and she is genuine and strong person. she is the only one to make Ruth identity unforgettable! Simply the best! 💓 Love her!
Jessica Biel was really good in Valentine's Day and 7th Heaven. Alison Brie is one of my ALL time favorite actresses...she's hilarious, witty, fun, upbeat, very expressive, lovely and has immense, unlimited talent. I LOVED her in Sleeping With Other People, she was sensational in it...she & Jason Sudeikis should work together in more movies...she works well with Adam Scott and Natasha Lyonne...great chemistry with all 3 of them. I liked her in Mad Men a lot...she played a bit of a mean character in it but it was neat to see her being bad per say. I LOVE her work. I hope she and her husband, Dave Franco do a 3rd movie together soon. GREAT interview!
YES! another sleeping with Other People fan! It is so amazing, and her and Jason had incredible chemistry. I want to see them work together again so badly!
I'll be honest, I never really thought much of Jessica Biel. Growing up, she was just kinda.....there. But I saw some of The Sinner with my mom and was plesently surprised!
Sheryl Smallwood her best works are not the best known except for the Sinner. Some great underrated movies of her are The Tall Man, Easy Virtue, The Truth About Emanuel.
Try to catch "The Truth About Emanuel" where she has a supporting dramatic part and is very good. She showed real dramatic chops and people then knew she'd be great in the right part like in "The Sinner."
Sheryl Smallwood Yeah, she's not just some disposable ex teen star. She's like a proper actress in a similar vein to Julia Stiles. I'll also vouch for _Easy Virtue_ , a BBC production of Noel Coward's play with Colin Firth and Kristin Scott Thomas.
lucy gluce lol at you calling me pathetic when you are in every Jessica video hating her, you must live a very miserable and sad life to have so much time to hate someone you don't know and read what people think of her. Seek help!
It would be interesting to see the same types of conversations they have but between two men. I mean, when two male actors converse in a setting like these, they don't really talk about the pressures, things like body image, mental health, having different types of men fully developed (race, age, sexuality, body, masculine/femine qualities) etc.
Alison seems very much like Ruth in real life, dorky, like drama nerd, book worm, accademic/validictorian type. I luv her character on Gow Ruth, Alison Brie has shown very good judgment in the projects she pursues an signs onto (Bojack, Weather w/Me, Community, Glow.
And how exactly do you know that these individuals, whom I’m assuming you’ve never meet, are “Amazing”? All four could be completely and utterly despicable human being in real life. They’re told what to wear, where to stand, what to do and their words/lyrics are written for them.....there's nothing particularly difficult or amazing about anything they do(singing is a talent but Autotune is a thing,so) They're just people.
No. Saw one episode and a couple of clips, and whilst I've seen Alison Brie in a couple of films, this is the first time it's sunk in how lovable and sweet she is.
Jessica Biel and Alison Brie are two gorgeous actress in Hollywood. Jessica and Alison have two husbands, but they need to cast them in a new movie together. They playing two inseparable childhood friends.
Fare wages are the actors unions responsibility and if they are not getting you what you deserve Then let the teamsters union represent actors. The Teamsters are known as the champion of freight drivers and warehouse workers, but have organized workers in virtually every occupation imaginable, both professional and non-professional, private sector and public sector.
When Allison Brie describes signing onto Glow after reading only one episode all I can think his how there really is only one good episode in that first season, and its the first one.
This is about the only comment that gets to the heart of it. They are both fine actors. Been a fan of Brie's work for a while....but some of the things they are on about are some weak tea
It would be great if GLOW actually respected the business of wrestling. I couldn't watch it because of that. I mean i tried one episode and i couldn't bear it. then again, the original GLOW show didn't respect the business either.
Quite an interesting and elegant conversation. Loved Glow s01, and I'm gonna give The Sinner a try. But... boobs. Alison Brie makes every woman on earth look almost manly. Okay, I'm exaggerating. But that thought crossed my mind for a few seconds. That being said, and it's why I didn't enjoy the conversation as much as I should have, that female empowerment is getting a bit annoying, and body positivity is still a moronic concept. And highly hypocritical. Sorry, Alison, but you're sexy, in Glow. You got muscles, which indeed don't serve a girl's sex appeal, and that's why you'll lose them once the show is over. And the actress talking in this video with Jessica Biel, a beautiful, slender woman, isn't a fat, bearded, one-legged transsexual woman. It's a woman like you. Everything isn't equally beautiful. You know that, anyway.
