I've watched Tyrone Spong fight many times, he's so tough and skilled. Everytime I watch him I can't help but think if he was just a little bigger... He's just at that weight where he's too small for heavyweight but just a tad too big for light heavyweight for him to cut, in other words he's in no man's land, otherwise he'd be a beast.
That's me training with MMA. I'm like 141 5"6 I'd get wrecked by the 155ers and 135 ( they walk at 160-175 typically some walk at 155) and 125 is just too sick to cut. I'm in a tough spot.

Spong didn't stand a chance. The promoters got terrified after alistair annihilated fujita and ended his fighting career. That they had to ban his clinching which is a legal move in kickboxing and mma. Which realistically doesn't make sense that promoters ban that move to give tyrone a chance. Hope he doesn't get in a bar fight. He's gonna be in for a rude awakening
@@donniebrasco1364 what do you mean, Fujita kept fighting afterwards. K1 gradually reduced clinch until it eliminated it altogether to keep the pace of the fight high.
Before both were gym mates at ffc in amsterdam. Tyrone beat overeem back then. Funny that the game is changed.. Tyrone had a chance but not the right strategy.
