Out of all the possible rideable Pokémon, Persian and Haunter were the most unexpected to me.

This game honestly was so good. These little touches are just things that every pokemon game should have. It just makes the whole experience feel way more personal to your journey.

Pokémon I wish you could ride: • Pidgeot: This is so obvious. There is even Gen 1 concept art of Blue riding one • Fearow: Same as Pidgeot • Ninetales: it seems big enough? Just... watch out for the tails. • Graveler/Golem • Slowpoke (as a joke): occasional control input lag, slowest movement. I don't know if it's big enough, though. • Slowbro: same as Slowpoke, but without the input lag. It moves slightly faster, on all fours. • Abra/Kadabra/Alakazam: Not actually "riding"; you are being levitated psychokinetically. • Mr. Mime: Carried by an invisible barrier? • Gengar: Because you can also ride Haunter. Like Haunter it floats when ridden • Dewgong • Alolan Exeggutor: It arches its neck over so you can sit on it • Ditto: Transforms into a random Pokémon you have caught based on the type of terrain. • Legendary birds? • Dragonair? • Poliwrath? • Golduck? • Diglett/Dugtrio: You ride the dirt mound that forms around it as it tunnels through the ground. Diglett's would be a bit small though, so most of the time you'd be shredding your butt as you go. [Update 1/27/2018 I'm so glad you guys like these! I added a few more I just thought of c;] • Venusaur (and Blastoise, because Charizard gets all the attention): I imagine there's space around its neck, under the front leaf. But considering how it's a jumpy frog boi, it's not gonna be the smoothest of rides. • Blastoise: Blastoise is a little tricky because it has a relatively smooth shell. The only way you could feasibly ride it is by sitting on its carapace while it's quadrupedal (on all fours). • Magnezone (if they ever add it in somehow): It's definitely possible to ride a Magnezone. You'd need to hold on to its antenna if you're sitting/standing on it. • Starmie: It's possible? Misty has been shown to ride hers on several occasions. • Mew: It carries you in a little psychic bubble! • Jigglypuff: It's a balloon Pokemon, think Green's Jigglypuff from Pokemon Adventures. It could probably just inflate itself until it's big enough. Honourable mentions: • Kantonian Exeggutor: You tightly clutch its stubby neck hanging on for your dear life • Electrode: If you dare. • Nidoking/-queen: While people have argued that it should be possible to ride them because of how you can already ride Rhydon, Nidoking and Nidoqueen are actually shorter. Plus, their backs seem a bit too pokey. • Grimer/Muk: Just remember to bring a hazmat suit. • Lickitung: It carries you rolled up in its tongue. Note: idk how big some of these actually are in comparison to the player character, these are just some ideas.

Hey, since when is Haunter so huge?? Also I like the attention to detail, like Eevee being in Kanghaskan's pouch, or Machamp cradling it with one arm. Also, I didn't expect to see Persian here!

As someone who's not played Pokemon since the 90s, this looks insane. Crazy how things evolved in 20 years... though I'm not sure about Starmie being able to transport on land. I'd have thought it'd be more of a surf Pokemon. It's a starfish after all 🤔

Am I the only one who thinks that there should been a racing mini game. And since they were aiming for casual audience and have taken away catching mechanics, they should have implemented tons of mini games.

I honestly REALLY hope they keep this Mechanic for Gen 8 (Making my way down town with my Gigantic Rock Snake would be insanely fun)

All of these are great! I know people are complaining, but at least you can ride on some. And Pokemon can follow you again! It’s amazing! I love this game!

I'm glad Machamp lets you ride on it, being cradled like a baby made me feel weird lmao

I like that in some of these even the partner pokemon is affected; most of the time, including with other ride pokemon, the partner pokemon stays on the trainer's head pretty much always. But Machamp actually uses on its many hands to hold onto your partner, and with Kangaskhan it goes into its pouch. Very clever how they incorporated some pokemon's traits into the ride animation. Really makes them stand out and give more life to them :)

I’m shocked you can ride Starmie. I was hoping you could since misty did in that episode with the race, but I figured they would just be lazy and use the running animation the data miners found in US/UM. Staryu and Starmie are rarely given any love, so it’s nice to see :D

Starmie and Rapidash are my favorite. I always wished I had a Starmie and a Gengar as a kid! This is so cool.

This is why it's okay for a game to have only that gens pokemon and not a national dex. They can focus on stuff like that that makes the game have so much more soul.
