@@rei9990 Pop is only 20% current progress, meaning it can never remove 20% as the gen would have to be at 100%, this means a 50% gen only regresses by 10% from this perk

I would argue that Forced Penace is underrated. It counters all healing perks and body blocking strats, leaving survivors vulnerable. It’s stronger on some killers compared to others but as long as you can catch them off guard or force them into a bad position then the team will crumble. Especially if they have to go for a save yet they are still broken. I’d say the thing holding this perk, and many others back, is just the random map selection and bad map design which hinders killers being able to capitalize.

As a ph main i actually use trail of torment in my main build since i tend to run stealth and detect I have trouble running him without it actually

@@thewarden3554 Forced Penance is fantastic, I will die on this hill. Especially on killers that don't deal with body blocking particularly well, like Hag. Inflicting broken on someone for 80 seconds means the killer decides when a survivor can heal, not the other way around. It has consistency in areas that Sloppy Butcher or Coulrophobia lacks, which is an absolute must with how quick survivors can heal now. Pair it with Nurse's Calling and you got a deadly combination.

what i hope is bhvr someday make an hex that whenever a survivor fully heals they become exposed for 40 seconds that will bring deathbound to a good use

Agreed, I think the two perks Predator and Bloodhound should be reworked to be something like this: Predator: While in chase with a survivor, gain Bloodlust 15%/20%/25% at a faster rate. Scratch marks appear more consistent while in chase. Bloodhound: When you put a survivor in a injured or dying, gain a Bloodhound token. Start the trial with 0/1/2 tokens and gain the following: 1-2: Bloodpools are brighter than normal. 3-5: Survivor's Scratch marks stay 3 Seconds longer. 6: You see injured Survivors aura within 12 meters of range.

@@justanegg6655 Maybe when sacrificed you lose tokens? Honestly the only other thing that can help prevent it from being too strong is making it into a Hex. But maybe the token to get the aura reading should go up to 8, or make the aura only 8 meters.

Coup it's an awful perk, it's token based which you only win if you are losing basically, and if you even dare to fart in the direction of a survivor you lose your tokens.

@@thatlemonadeguy6742 While it does suck to lose your tokens due to the irritating nature of its setup, having a longer lunge is very strong and can secure hits you normally wouldn't have gotten otherwise.

not just body blocking you can purposely activate it if you hit a survivor that is in the proximity of another injured survivor (while body blocking, carrying another survivor, healing another survivor etc, and they will be broken,) is really great with a stealth killer with nurses calling

Almost any m1 killer can make real use of forced penance even in pubs. You can force a lot of prot hits.

Deathslinger with forced penance just straight up destroys swfs

It's really good on Wesker, you can turn loops into a lose-lose situation for the survivor since you can vault pallets

i find it great on wesker since it takes 3 seconds to activate and wesker's grab and slam animations give it enough time to activate

Mmhmmm, I also felt that new pop is in no way a 4 point perk. Maybe it would have been in the past, but the slowdown the perk gives is far less than others overall.

@@thespectre01 Surprisingly when I first played Freddy I actually had a lot of fun. 4Ks all around. I had lots of fun with him for all my games with him... until I Prestige 3'd him, then I dropped him lmao. Play him very rarely.

The problem is that it's kinda redundant. If you've hooked everyone once, the survivors are probably licking their wounds and regrouping if they're coordinated. Stopping them from completing generators doesn't really do anything, since that's not their goal at that moment, so practically you get 20 seconds of gen stopping, which is useful but not worth a perk that only activates once. +2 at most imo

It's actually harmful to you. Gen kicking perks are so much more powerful now after their buffs, not being able to kick them is a MASSIVE nerf.

Regressing by 200% was ridiculous. 100% makes it much more balanced now.

Ruin may have been nerfed but undying is still viable as it works with other hex perks. Allows a second chance for Devour and Blood Favor

Yeah, I think he doesn't know how the perk is not as good since it no longer slices off 25% of the Gens meter and instead removes 20% of the current progression, making it only good when the generator is near completion. Not dogging it as a few killers can make it work like Freddy and Blight, but there isn't many situations where you find survivors juuuuust about finish and you come to interrupt their progress.

In fact the real problem are the players who don't understand anything of perks, they just get the most strong ones like Save the best for last, pain resonance and BBQ. For example even Wraith has kinda good addons, it's just that none get the value, Predator is useful for chase killers and Spirit, Bloodhound is useful against overcome and perks who negate hemorrhage and survivors who want to be hide from the killer, and shadownborn is good to see along the map and put pressure on maps. I like azhymovs videos but he only said the preferences of everybody, it's so stupid...

@@mattiacicchetti4728 ok i understand ur point but using wraith was a horrible example, his perks genuinely suck. bloodhound is useless bc u can see blood just fine and predator makes easy to see and find scratch markers just a little tighter and more visable. shadowborn idk how it applies pressure but it is good to counter fov techs ig.

Forced Penance is bad because it relies on survivors bodyblocking, any perk that needs the survivors to do something is by default worse. Maybe a ranking of one is a bit harsh, but it is not at all good either

Often the kind of SWF's that it can get use on are the kind you could beat up without it so I don't really find it valuable. I can't deny though that it basically shuts down body blocking altogether.

Deathbound is kinda underrated. When paired with Nurse's Calling, you have constant knowledge of where survivors are healing or have healed. It has a little too many workarounds though with boons being a thing now and survivors still running Self Care for some reason.

@@justmonika2345 as a killer i absolutly LOVE self care claudettes wasting time in a corner XD but as a survivor these are the worst teammates you can hope to get. There is a tome challenge in the recent one requiring you to do self heals, while i personally am not even patient enough for self care and just grab a brown medkit, doing it once every round you have that challenge done by the latest in 8 rounds so i perfer that. But i can see why people use it when they want to do more progress in 1 round. For deathbound though, i feel like there is greater info perks. Its only a scream, no Aura and it happens when they're done healing not when they start it. The good thing about it i thought is the exposed status but that runs out so fast, even on purple tier, that it really aint rewarding much. So to me deathbound just doesnt do well. I have seen perks in this list i also feel like theyre strong but i think azhymovs didnt include pairing, so he judged them only by their prime use. And as a stand alone perk Deathbound really aint that great.

@@t4k3ntf bbq only works with hooks… incase you didn’t know. for newer players, getting hooks isn’t as easy as going to the shops and getting a bag of crisps is it? no. for newer players, darkness revealed is very friendly. so yes i have heard of bbq, but bbq does not compare to darkness revealed in any way shape or form. let’s look at the 2 shall we since you know your dbd clearly. bbq and chili: after hooking a survivor all players further than 40m of the hook are revealed for 4s darkness revealed: after opening a locker, any survivor within 8m of ANY locker will be revealed to you for 5s. this perk has a cool down of 30s. let’s look at which outweighs which. activation- darkness revealed can be activated an infinite amount of times if you look at it from a grand scheme of thing… bbq and chili can only be activated at most 11 times necessary, although you won’t need 11 times in most cases since the game is pretty much done at that point. point goes to darkness revealed 1-0 duration- bbq and chili last 4s darkness revealed last 5s 2-0 aura ability bbq and chili can only see people 40m away from the hook darkness revealed can see ANYONE from ANY range aslong as they are within 8m of a locker which actually a lot of the time survivors are within 8m of a hook as gens are usually this close to a locker 3-0 ability to obtain the perk bubba is a licensed DLC meaning people have to pay real money to get him which some people don’t have that all the time the dredge is free with iris whcih are in game currency, meaning you can get the perk fro free essentially no money required 4-0 would you like any other points? because i can make plenty more of why darkness revealed is better if you’d like

Should I buy legion or amazing perk killers first?

@@m3tz271 will always depend on what your play style is, you like Huntress or Trickster? Iron Maiden will be usefull for quicker reloads. Personally I like the Legion because they're pretty simple and not hard to understand their kit, the stabby run gang is fun for me :)

It's a highly underrated perk. I don't know why he said it was bad. Even just a 5% movement speed increase in a chase would be one of the best perks in the game for killer and PWYF has up to 15%. Like you said, it's not difficult to activate either.
