Remember how downright _terrible_ this class was in Three Houses? I remember. It’s amazing how well this did when converted to the Warriors gameplay style.

One thing not mentioned here is that if you only charge one circle for C1 instead of both, you keep the additional attack, but without the elemental effects. I don't know how much extra damage a fully charged does when compared a half charged, but (regarding the C1 charge mechanic where you hold X after a strong attack and get a full circle free) you can choose to release X early to get these stronger attacks immediately instead of waiting a bit longer to gain the elementally imbued strong attacks. I honestly don't think this is worth it most of the time, but it's a decent option if you don't have the time to fully charge after a strong attack.

Corrections: All the second strong attacks are the same. I was just getting it mixed up with the non-elemental version. Speaking of which, if you half charge your first strong attack, there is a non-elemental version of every extended strong attack. I like this class, expecially on Bernadetta who can freeze with zr, attract many enemeis with the fire tornado, freeze with the ice move and repeat the loop at nauseum. Much better than its Three Houses incarnation lmao

the elemental attacks from this class can actually be powered up by elemental essence abilities as well as other sources of elemental infusion (adding an infusion on top of a naturally elemental attack has the same effect as elemental essence) so some characters could favour some combos more since they can learn essence abilities, or while paired up with characters that have elemental support abilities

I've played a lot of characters with the Mortal Savant class, and all of them have a fire imbuement for the 2nd strong attack. Was there a character with a different imbuement? EDIT: yeah I just tried every character (lol) and every characters second strong attack is fire. Anyway, mortal savant is my favorite class in the game. Having access to all the elements is just so useful, the only magic-using class that can. While it definitely takes some skill to play, it's 100% worth learning, and learning well because you can really wreck with it. I can honestly say that every character could probably do well as a mortal savant, which isn't true of really any other class.

You should’ve showed what the half charged strong attacks do, as I feel knowing that is equally as important.

Is it a hot take to say that I am not particularly happy about how they handled the classes? Not only on the side of the roster being unfinished(The Hero and Arch Bishop noticably have places on the tree where they were likely meant to go, but they just couldn't make the deadline), but also because the clonegame is very scuffed here. If you have to replace Mortal Savant and Dark Knight from Rhea and Jeritza, then their unique classes are clearly too boring to be in the game. And then there is the thing where Dark Knight and Holy Knight are basically the same anyways.(Except Dark Knight is better because of elemental coverage.) Also gotta note that it is very strange to see Apex Sword being equipped in the footage because iirc, the skill is still bugged and actually slightly reduces the crit damage.(Aka. it becomes a hardmode-type of skill)
