Me: *playing as Ganondorf with Zant in my team, just won the battle* Zant: "Bow to Zant, your true king!" Ganondorf: "..."

Zant's victory screen has him calm down after battle. He then basks in the glory that he is Zant and there are no other Zants but him... BUT THEN! HE REMEMBERS THAT THERE IS STILL EVIL TO DO so he teleports to continue his journey of evil!

When I figured out Zan't Gimmick, he quickly became my favorite. Destroying the enemy with an apocalyptic temper tantrum is just so much fun. its like controlling a run away tornado that's completely insane

Zant is the most annoying general because he NEVER shows his weak point

Once i got the concept of Zant's gimmick down, i started to really enjoy him. He's very wacky, and i still prefer Ghirahim, but i do love playing the Usuper King of Twilight every now and then.

Zant benefits massively from multi-character missions. By switching characters and then immediately switching back, you can instantly clear his charge bar, cancel his self-stun, abort an attack that's leaving him vulnerable, or cancel the ending lag after a successful attack. All this in addition to the usual benefit of canceling a Gibdo's stun.

From what I can tell, the "Zant is terrible" stigma was from way back before any of the updates (before 1.4). Zant overall did less damage before the patches, and did significantly less damage to weak point gauges, meaning he couldn't reliably break them

I find using Zant's A special attack to be perfect for ending his strong attack's whirlwind whenever I want. That sequence tends to just melt enemy captains' health bars and essentially build more than enough meter for the special all in one fell swoop.

Zant is the best!!! Fun to use and powerfull.

I main Zant all the time. Never had a problem with being open to attack, unless it was my own fault making an error. Clearing keeps is easy (and fun). What moveset I use depends on what I am up against. I once accidentally attacked a cucco and the chicken army followed my Zant from keep to keep. Soon as they'd enter the keep, I'd just move on to the next lol. I swear, Ghirahim in-game was so done with my shenanigans.

Love the series! The Futurama reference at the end had my rolling.

Zant also just has great CC. I found that with a combination of his combo untill C6 and Berserker shooting mode you can win 1v1's while completely stunning the opponent 😮

Zant is an interesting and very good character. The main thing that holds him back from being among the best is just how many amazing dark characters there are that can do what Zant does with little to no practice. Still, I never worry about completing a map while using Zant, as he can take care of most tasks pretty easily. I think he's mid tier, just like Midna. Side note: AI Zant is the worst captain in the game to fight. Only two of his five combos reveal his weakpoint guage, and he barely ever uses those particular combos. Idk why they didn't just make all or almost all of his combos show his weakpoint like they did with every other character. Did they really think him getting stunned due to his strong attack bar be a compensation for that? It was worse in the Wii U version, since none of his combos revealed his weakpoint. What a stupid design choice, and I really hope that it was just overlooked and not intentional.

I love Zant. He’s really fast and his gimmick is pretty cool! When I play as Zant, I’m always like “Oh boy time to make my ko count reach the thousand in 3 mins.”

zant's beam barrage is probably one of the best instances where getting the gold mogma mit attack badge should be one of the first things you get when building him up. Even if they start blocking, just inflict massive chip damage before the guard is broken

Man, twilight Princess is my first Zelda game and the amount of references to his fight surprises me

Zant is by far my favorite character, nearly all of his combos are useful in certain situations. C2, much like Wizzro's spinning attack, shreds boss weak-point gauges, C4 is a mobile crowd-clearer that keeps you safe in the air for most of it, C5 breaks guards for those stubborn captains, C6 is just plain good damage in a large area, and in between each of those you have either a _very_ mobile crowd clearer or a strong focused damage which also shreds boss weak-point gauges. The only sub-par option he has is C3 which starts up a bit too slow to deal with enemy captains.

I don’t get why people say he’s so bad I bet they just are really bad at timing and get stunned all the time because they don’t know how to properly time

I think he's a solid character and I understand how his charge works. But man, his berserker abilities do such small damage I'd rather keep doing the standard attack string. Or sometimes I wanna keep using his C6 for AoE but I can't because my meter is full, so I have to use his tornado/energy blast instead.

Zant pretty much teaches you how you should be playing the game.

Zant’s playstyle is my favorite in the game, as he reminds me of myself.

The special attack is also super good after using the giant stomp combo so you don’t have to wait until he has finished shrinking. It might work to cancel eventual stuns.

Man,as he said,the key to rock as Zant is to time to stopping his combos at the end of the bar. If you time it correctly,Zant can be like Really Fun and a excellent character to take Keeps and bosses. For whoever want to use Zant,don't focus in spamming his combos til death or you'll get stunned.When he's ending the bar's charge,stop pressing the attack button and you'll get a full bar also cleaning the room. I'm just telling it cause i'm a Zant main and it's easy when you time the bar.

i really like the model of Zant and i really like his personality. its really good to fight with him in twilight princess. i first completed skyward sword so Ghirahim is my top 1. favourite but Zant is my second :)

A side note on his berserk mode: triggering a Weak Point Smash of any kind will end it prematurely, and you keep any meter charge you had remaining.

I had the 3DS version in the past and now that I have a Switch Lite I have that version. Back in the 3DS verison Zant was my main and highest level because of constant use. This time around I tried to have Yuga as my main, but because of how much I've used Zant in the past it didn't feel right when using Yuga. I couldn't get the hang of him. I then began using Zant again and fell into his moveset as if I never stopped using him. Come national to me. Yeah, it'll take some time to level him back up to where he was at in the 3DS verison, but once a main aways a main.

Zant is literally one of the best characters in the game his crowd control and area damage is busted also can destroy the weakpoint gauge easy playing with in him in this game is the reason i wanted him in smash

I figured out the timing for each of his charge moves on my own but actually doing damage to bosses and commanders I struggled with

Zant’s C2 combo is actually the best for taking out giant boss weak gauges (it’s very similar to Wizzro’s C4 combo). He mentions at 5:55 in the video that “I use [Zant’s C6] and then C1 heavy attack to take down boss weakpoints” but I was doing that on my own and it just wasn’t nearly as effective as Zant’s C2 combo.

Played this game since it first came on WiiU and only now do I understand how to use Zant.

Zant, Ghiriham, and Twilight Minda are my go to characrers only because they are fun to play as.

I think he's fun. Though I don't main him.

Xanto is just the most fun to play as.

Zant, I'd say, is one of the hardest characters to use. Once you do, though..... He's great. Real great.

Zant ADVANCED Guide: I love zant and play him every single chance i get. On the switch version, i nearly have him on max level and i'm not even done with Great Sea. If you want some more tips and things to note, read further. Standard String: -I find using the first 3-4 hits of this combo is the most reliable and safe way to deal damage if you aren't baiting out wps. Simply dodge before he does his weak jump attacks and repeat. C1: -When you stop your c1 spin, enemies are very conveniently flung in front of you, perfect for a special. -The damage on his beams gets stronger the further away you are, so backing up before shooting is the best way to drain boss WPs. C2: -if you don't have your meter filled, this is the best way of draining boss WPs. Make sure the head goes inside of them, get zant dizzy and once the meter fully resets, special to cancel the animation and repeat. -Without hasty, a standard string can't fully kill a hero's WPG unless you time it perfectly. C2 can juggle enemies long enough to drain them reliably. C3: -Thoughthe claims made in the video say otherwise, you're safe from most attacks on the pillar due to the nature of the hitboxes in this game. -Despite being slightly less reliable, filling the meter with C3 and emptying it out with beams is from my experience the best way to duel without taking unnessecary hits with C6. If the enemy blocks and doesnt get carried up, just end the combo early. C4: -The mobile hitbox makes this the best way to clear out hoardes of small goons. Maxing the meter and using C1 spin is often the fastest way zant can get KOs C5: -The first part of this attack knocks guarding enemies back perfectly into the first hit of this attack. However, the damage isnt great and it is common for heroes to break out of the stunlock and out of the hitbox. If this happens, this combo can be safely dodge-rolled out of. C6: -A very good move, but less universally applicable than this video would lead you to believe. This is perfect for groups containing multiple generals or heroes because it has a great mix of range and damage. I would reccommend it more if your hitbox wasnt so huge. Way better with hasty however, and one of zant's best moves. Special: -the move's hitbox is much larger than the "stun zone" would have you believe. This is great for damage, clearing, and cancelling out of some animations your dodge roll can't get you out of. Misc: -In focus spirit, zant will never get dizzy from overextending his combos. This means you can spam certain end attacks, like his long range C4 spirit bomb or C6 mega stomp with little consequense. -On my 3ds copy (and eventually my switch copy,) the skills on my 4+ Scimmies look like this: Strong Attack I Strong Attack III Strong Attack IV (or V if you prefer) Strong Attack VI Heart Power No Healing Hasty Attacks Weak Point Smash+ -The best skins for Zant are Great Sea, Master Quest and Twilight Princess. If I catch you using anything else, I will find your full name and adress.

I love zant

One of my favorite Dark generals including him, Y. Link, Majora and Ghirahim. Only thing that bugs me about the Twilight Usurper is his weak point attack. Dispute getting rid of a good chunk of grunts, I very often miss getting the whole tornado assault on the general or captain I just broke the point of.

Wait what? 1) you don't just get stunned at the end of every longer special attack? 2) there's a charge meter? 3) the charge meter makes you go into a berserker rage? Wow 200 hours in and I had no idea

Personally, I like calling the C1 heavy attack the Twin Twilight Uzis.

It should be noted that Zant's C3 will sweep up any enemies with the pillar, allowing stronger enemies to get juggled by the energy blasts

Is the zant glitch in definitive edition?

The stun mechanism is very thematic! Its a punishment for being greedy with your power wink wink

I hate zant because of the "quiz" mission where you have to kill ganondorf while sparing the fricking moblin, which is killed in like... Two attacks.

He's like the Master Kohga of this game.

Pretty sure C3 is invulnerable so long as Zant is on the pillar, and was my go to move for spamming besides C6. Don't know if DE changed it, but C3 was his best move besides C6 and Light C1.

Will it blend?

The one thing I don’t like about Zant is his weak point smash. It almost never works as intended for me, captain and generals constantly get hit out of it’s aoe and the tornado barely picks anyone up.

I understand how Zant works, but I still hate playing as him, mostly because his weak point attack is WORTHLESS.

Also btw hy doesn't work with the timeline because of story problems. Ghiraim was Demise sword spirit,he doesn't know Ganondorf(we dont know if he died but :/). Also Zant in tp finished Ganondorf cracking is neck because of the life linked thing (gg Zant best Villian).so Ghiraim and Zant wouldnt help Ganondorf. There are Also other problem with story and characters (Cia cursed Midna but in tp was Zant/ ruto and Daunia didnt know zelda/nobody sliced Ganondorf in 4 parts/linkle bruh what is Linkle) and so on
