@@arnibah Pythagoras is vegan as f***, you must have looked at the wrong restaurant. I have an interview with the owner and I've been there twice. You can see the interview on my channel and I even linked to it in the post that you're commenting on. Try again
@@VeganLinked I live in California. So I googled the restaurant, looked at its menu, and saw all kinds of non-vegan food on it. I guess there is more than one Pythagoras restaurant out there.
Hello sir Is there any way to connect with you. We're planning an event in Varanasi regarding the health aspect of veganism, would you be able to come?
@@sharinaross1865 Most probably a Vegetarian. Jains are the only religious group that are closest to Vegans. They avoid maximum damage to animal, bird, life. But living in a world where 99% of the people consume animal products is hard for Vegans to survive...
What a beautiful soul, and an intelligent, compassionate doctor! We need more like him. Thanks for another spectacular, uplifting interview. I'm especially loving the ones that focus on the ethical aspects of animal rights.
As a vegan for the past 25 years, and 70 years of age, I can tell you, it REALLY is the best choice you can ever make. If you want to do the right thing AND be super healthy, it's the perfect choice. I do one 6 mile walk once a week,( with ease) take no medications at all, & feel EXACTLY the same as I did at 35. No pain, zero issues, same energy every day morning to night.
I would love to interview you, let me know if you're interested veganlinked.com/contact If you're interested send me a message with your contact information and location
20:00 I read a book written by a doctor about fasting in 1999, (can't remember the name) And he said best way to break a fast is with oranges or tangerines because of the high water content. It's easier for the fasted stomach to handle. He also said eat it slowly and chew well. He said how you break a fast is very important.
I wish I have a similar successful story, losing friendship, hate and fights with relatives and strangers- getting more and more lonely, the only change I can make is me being vegan
What do you mean? Are you saying all this is happening because you went vegan? Are you losing friends by your choice or are they cutting you off? Maybe you need a fresh start?
I just stopped telling people I'm vegan and I bring my own food to family get-togethers. And I agree with Jeff. Best of luck to you ❤ Vegan for good health ❤ And Vegan for the animals 🌱❤️💪
What a wonderful easy to understand video clearly outlining the benefits of WFPB and changing our habits and lifestyle. I have saved this video and will be definitely watching again! Thank you so much. Blessings to you👏🏾👏🏾🙏🏾
You hit it out of the park again with this interview. I'm feeling all warm and fuzzy as I get up from my computer to carry on with my day! The high frequency energy you two radiated sitting at that restaurant in Texas has been received here in California and hopefully you feel the "bounce back" from me in California and all others tuning in. Right back at ya! Thanks so much!
Thanks so much for sharing, what a awesome comment 🙂 so glad you appreciate this! It takes a tremendous amount of work for me to travel around run and gun solo never knowing who I'm going to get and where and trying to control the environment there's just so many variables so it's great to hear that you appreciate it!
Dairy consumption increases breast cancer. Dairy is full of the hormone estradiol because the dairy cow is milked while it is pregnant and it has been measured in the milk. The 7th day Adventists are often studied because they are health conscious, don’t drink alcohol or smoke, and eagerly participate in studies. ADVENTIST HEALTH STUDY 2 showed the more milk the Adventists consumed the higher the breast cancer. This study was confirmed by a study in China, CHINA KADOORIE BIOBANK STUDY. The Conclusion: The more dairy you consume the higher your breast cancer risk. ¼ cup/day of milk increases breast cancer risk by 17%.
Well I hope she can ditch the dairy, dairy is very scary, you should watch a video titled "dairy is scary" by Erin. And make your manager watch it too!
Wow so trippy there's a compression artifact in the frame at 5:33 😢 I don't know if it was RU-vid or computer though I'll have to look at my local render...
Thanks for the video. I am allergic to nuts. I am wondering if I can sustain a plant based diet without those. I usually mainly get my protein from tofu, tempeh and beans. I hope I won’t have any deficiency in a long run.
Are you saying you're allergic to all nuts? Like every nut out there? What about seeds? I imagine you'll be fine eating a legumes, greens, grains, fruits, veggies, mushrooms, seeds, herbs and spices. Allergies change over time also, sometimes anyways. The worst case scenario would be maybe something like needing to take a little supplement If there's a particular nutrient he might be missing. I would definitely take a supplement before eating animals, but I'm not in your situation so I don't have to worry about it. Good luck! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Broccoli and spinach are high in protein and give you all you need if you eat enough of it, I can’t eat legumes or most nuts and I do very well as vegan
@@fitawrarifitness6842 yeah looking at a country is not really going to give us a lot of information, like countries that smoke more at one point might have had better health outcomes but that was probably more due to wealth not smoking.
It was the only way I could get it. Just imagine you're in the restaurant. Surely it wouldn't bother you if you were actually there that other people off in the distance are doing their thing...
but yeah, I would have like to have not had to be in such a situation where this is all I got, but doing all this solo on my own dime and time only allows for so many possibilities.
You're right though, it is unusually loud. Noise removal like that would have made him sound like a robot. I just compared the RU-vid version to my local version and the local version sounds better. So, compression may have made have exacerbated the mix. It's still loud AF either way. Hopefully it at least gets the point across enough...
I went vegan many years ago and l loved it. But lately after about 7 years into it, l started experiencing extreme fatigue and yawning. I wonder if anybody is experiencing the same thing.
Vegan is a philosophy. It's not a diet so we don't really know what you're doing. I think the healthiest way of eating is a well-planned whole Food diet consisting of legumes, greens, grains, fruits, veggies, mushrooms, nuts, seeds, herbs and spices and a proper variety of each. But that's just the nutritional component of a healthy lifestyle. Other things like proper supplementation, exercise, sleep, social support, not doing drugs, stress management, etc also play into a healthy lifestyle. Most vegans I know though have a lot of energy. And they claim it goes up going vegan. And most I know sustain it far beyond the non-vegans I know even younger than them. But those are just my mere observations. Hopefully you're getting proper sleep and exercise. And at least supplementing B12 and probably D. It's always best to consult your physician if you are having any sort of physical things going on.
So your physician might check you for something like maybe anemia for example where fatigue could creep in. So if you're not eating enough things like lentils and dark green leafies along with maybe a little vinegar or lime to increase iron absorption then you might want to consider stuff like that for every meal possible. But that's more likely if you're like a menstruating woman especially if you have excessive bleeding for some other condition.
@@VeganLinked thanks for the reply. I am a male by the way. I do supplement with b12 once in a while. I also eat a lot of legumes and fruits. I only feel tired when l m inactive. I do need to go for a check up soon. Thanks again for replying.
@@ranimouf sometimes I'm more tired when I'm inactive I think lately. But that's just because it's dark, cold, winter time. And sometimes I'm like depressed because I miss California weather so much. But I had a similar thought recently, that I am wishing I had better activities to engage in, the downtime does make me a little sleepier than usual. Speaking of which I think I'm going to bed now!
It might be a good idea to check your thyroid. Theres a simple, easy self test called the Barnes test. Leave a thermometer on your bedside table. When you wake in the morning, before you move around at all, take your temperature and write it down every morning for a week. If its consistently below normal, you, likely, have a thyroid condition. That would be a major reason for feeling tired, exhausted or fatigued. And, maybe, you're inactive because you're tired. If you find that its your thyroid, read the book, Stop the Thyroid Madness. Its the best book I've ever read on thyroid...and I've read many. Good luck to you.
He seems very compassionate to animals, and I really like this guy, but I have some questions. Does he not consider the cows he "took care of" on the dairy farm as exploitation, no matter how "kind" he thought they were being? You certainly wouldn't do that to a human, raise them to steal their "product"! I wish people in India understood this. Also just curious, he said that uprooting some plants is violence (?) But to whom, the plant? Plants are here for a reason, either as edible nutritious food or as medicine like carrots and garlic. I see nothing wrong with plucking and using root vegetables.
If I see him again somewhere quiet where we have time I'll try and remember and dig into that. As for cows, I'm not sure where that question is going, maybe I need to re-watch, it's been some time since I cut this. He's vegan now so I assume like any of us who once were not vegan we have our regrets. I could explore what thoughts he's had on this though. As for killing the plants, I can see having respect for the plant. If there's no need to consume tubers and it kills the plant then, well, why eat them? And maybe it would be better to eat fruits, nuts, seeds, greens, legumes, grains, etc. Food is very regional and some communicate it in more spiritual ways. It would be nice to hear him flow on these questions and more in a controlled, quieter environment... Thanks!
Some people say animals are here for the same reasons you say root crops are. He's just taking his compassion to plants a step further by not harvesting a plant that will destroy it. It can get complicated. After my string beans quit producing, do I yank it out or wait for freezing temps to kill it. Even carrots are an annual where I live.
I honestly don't know how you think it is in anyway exploitation if you are giving milk to baby first and taking care of cow and then taking milk. Uprooting is not violence (definitely won't use that word) but yes it is said here that plants might be sleeping during night so we shouldn't pluck their leaves at that time. And yes I agree with @katye.. basically it is extending that compassion to plants as well.
But in the latter part of the day I need to be working in my garden...I do not want to spend that valuable working time preparing and eating food. So I eat when I'm done and that means 800 at night. I don't know how to change that dynamic.
where there's a will there's a way. What exactly are you say even? The best recommendations I've heard are to get the bulk of your calories in the earlier part of the day; eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper. Also, consider bulk prep/cooking. And maybe share the burden of life with others which helps with the social aspect which is one of the pillars of lifestyle medicine. where there's a will there's a way. At the end of the day there's no reason to eat animals when appropriate plant options are available which is the case for the overwhelming majority of people, esp. people with internet access.
@@VeganLinked will has nothing to do with it. Eating early makes me feel terrible. Eating early slows me down..and I don't want to spend any part of the daylight preparing food. I wouldn't touch an animal. The video was great and you ask wonderful questions. I love the way you interview so many different people...and I try to watch every one of them. Thank you.
@@VeganLinked gee...I don't know...I'd like to. I eat oatmeal..potatoes....sweet potatoes...cooked and raw greens..other salad veg...and fruits. I think you really care about your commenters. That's impressive.
thanks, there's a learning curve with this for sure, even lifelong vegans are I know experiment and find ways to step up there game. I've been doing this 13 years and recently I started flipping things around and I personally love it. With lifestyle medicine there's sleep, exercise, stress management, social support, not doing drugs, and nutrition. I think we just need to work with all those variable until we find the perfect combination for our particular lifestyle. Lately I've been eating lentils with broccoli and cabbage most days (inspired by Bryan Johnson's super veggie meal) and I'll bulk cook that. I start the day with water/lemon, then some fruit, then my version of super veggie, then I'll have maybe a salad or smoothie, fruit, or if I'm in a rush an Amy's dish, then my last meal is the mixed grain porridge that's like a dinner/dessert. Bryan doesn't eat for 8 hours before bed, I may make it that long, something it's only 6 or 4 hours. Then I wake up hungry, but exercise a little before I eat. Maybe if you changed what you're eating and the eating times up you'll find something that energizes you. But, it seems the best thing is getting the bulk of your calories earlier in the day like I've been saying. Dr Greger has been stating this consistently for a while now, that's where I got the breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, dinner like a pauper :) @@betzib8021
